This was our second time staying at this property. It’s a great getaway spot, rustic but cozy. The lighting was a little dim for reading, but it set a nice atmosphere. The fire pit by the side of the river is a great hangout spot, and the $20 firewood bundle is enough for a nice long fire. Would definitely recommend!

The pros: tent was nice, bed was comfortable. River was nice, but very shallow. The longhorns were cool too.
The cons: the area around the tent looks like it gets weed whacked maybe once a month. And they don't it clean up. There were spots where it looked like a longhorn came over and just laid in the overgrowth, but it was just cut down overgrowth left to rot. For the money being paid, you'd think itd be a nice site but it's very muddy, so much so my truck got stuck and had to get pulled out. Landscaping is non existent. Spiders in and out of the rent. Mold growing on the tent which they cover with hanging blankets inside so you can't see it. The BBQ utensils they "provide" were caked on dirty when I arrived...like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks. There's maybe one spot around the fire ring you can sit at without feeling like you're IN the fire...because of overgrowth and uneven ground. Worked for me since I was solo, but a group would never work. They also forget to mention in their ad that's there's, from what I could see, a fertilizer farm across the river which starts making non stop noise around 8/830AM. So if you're looking for peace and solitude, probably not a good choice (unless you book a holiday weekend). There was also a wasp/hornet right by the fire pit.
Overall, it's not worth the $. For $150+ night, you'd think they'd put a little more effort into the site, however they're clearly doing it for the money and not the experience. I won't be going back.

Place was amazing, would definitely recommend! Peaceful, quiet, amenities were functional and creative, hosts were kind and welcoming. Baby Longhorns were loved! Woke up to watch otters playing in the river!

Amazing stay!
What a beautiful property. Carmen was wonderful and we had a great time! I would highly recommend this space. It was like having our own private campground.
