Whether you’re a seasoned camper or new to the experience, our tent camping provides an ideal escape into the beauty of the Oregon Coast.
It is your responsibility to make sure that your RV and/or vehicle
fit within the site you reserved.
We provide you with the RV space size and which pull-outs are allowed per site.
Please make the reservation under the name of the person staying in that site.
(It is by law that we keep records of the license plate and name of people staying at our establishment.)
Cancellation & Reservation Policies
*(any changes to your reservation arrival &/or departure date must be made two weeks prior to arrival to avoid any extra fees.
At the time of reservation, 50% of your total stay will be charged as a deposit.
The remaining balance is due on your arrival date.
One-night stays are paid in full.
CANCELLATIONS
Reservations must be cancelled 2 weeks prior to your arrival date. Cancellations made within 2 weeks of your arrival date are non-refundable.
Tents: The Retreat at Cannon Beach has a limit of 1 tent per site. Campers with multiple tents will be charged the full amount of another tent site per tent. (We value open space between sleeping units and the privacy of the neighboring guests). All vans, campers, RVs and trailers must be on an RV site regardless of size unless approved by management.
Cabins: The Retreat at Cannon Beach will provide you with a clean cabin when you check-in. A cleaning fee is included in the reservation. If after your departure the cabin requires replacement of broken appliances, missing items or extra cleaning, your credit card on file will be charged accordingly. Pets are allowed in our cabins with an additional $25 fee per night.
RV Sites: All sites are for 1 sleeping unit. No additional trailers or tents are allowed.
Other:You authorize The Retreat at Cannon Beach to charge your credit card for any property damages caused by you during your stay. Chopping trees, tables, log borders or any other activity that may damage property is not allowed. Failure to comply with these terms may result in a $300 fine.
We do have overflow parking here in the campground, additional fees may apply, please contact the office for more details. We provide the site measurements; however, you are responsible for making sure any/all rigs fit within the site you have reserved.
At check-in, the guest names, occupants, pets &/or vehicles in the party must match the information on the reservation. If any changes are needed, they must be made at the time of check-in. Failure to do so could result in additional fees.
Check in time for tents and RV sites is any time after 1:30 pm. Check in time for the cabins is 3 pm. After hours cabin check-in arrangements must be made before the office closes.
Check-out time is at 12:00 pm for RVs/Tents and at
11:00 am for Cabins.
No aggressive animals are allowed. All pets must be on a leash and you must pick up their waste. Doggie bags are provided throughout the resort.

ADD ONS TO POLICY
1. Each site accommodates one sleeping unit and one vehicle. If the sleeping unit is on the vehicle, it is considered to be one sleeping unit and one tent. Any additional vehicles and/or sleeping units are an additional fee.
2. Paying for an additional tent and/or vehicle does not automatically mean that the site will accommodate the additional tent/vehicle. You will need to contact the office to determine if your reserved site has the available space for an additional tent and/or vehicle.
3. If you have not checked out of your site by fifteen minutes after the check out time, you will be charged a late departure fee.
4. If you leave your site trashed, including pet excrements, you will be charged a fee.
5. There is a pet fee of $5.00 per pet, per night. If your dog is not on a leash, you may be charged an additional fee for each time that your pet is found to not be on a leash.
6. If you reserve a site within the two-week cancellation policy, you will not receive a refund if you need to cancel.
7. If you fail to check in for your reservation for the first night, your site will be opened back up for reservation at noon the following day, unless you contact the office to notify the staff you plan to arrive.
8. If you bring a trailer of any kind into the campground with your vehicle, you will be charged, as there is not room in most sites for trailers.
9. Additional vehicles and trailers are an additional $10.00 per night.
10. Cannon Beach ordinance restricts any loud noise from the hours of 10 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. the next day.
11. We have partial hook-up sites and full-hook up sites. If you are in a partial hook-up site and need to dump, there is a dump station available, but there is a $15.00 dump fee.
12. Cancellation Fee of $25 is applied if prior to 14 days before reservation.
13. Non-campers on site, must be reported to the office staff. They are not permitted to park their vehicle in your spot, even if there is room, without paying a parking fee of $25.00 per day.

This is their address . 3904 Tillamook River Road. Please be careful when using Google maps, for whatever reason it has taken several people to other places other than mine. I posted a picture of the entrance of my property, hopefully this will help. Hurlys Hideaway is a very nice location located approximately 2 miles from the town of Tillamook. Very close to the beach Sand Lake various Rivers for fishing kayaking swimming Etc. Approximately 4 MI from Netarts Oceanside area, Netarts Bay, Cape Mears. A very nice location to be able to access all of these activities in Tillamook County. My land is Timber, some clearings, we'll see how this goes I'm just getting started. Also, I just learned that the transient tax for Tillamook Oregon is an additional 10% and I hate to do this but I'm going to have to raise my prices $5. If you are coming from Town, I'm 2 mi. from the hospital west on hwy. 131. Look for the purple Minnesota Vikings bus shack. I also put up a hipcamp sign just up my driveway a bit. If you are coming from the south on Fraiser road, turn right when you come to hwy. 131. I'm less than a quarter mile on your left. Also a heads up lately I've had a few people that are having a hard time booking and I learned from another camper if you're staying one night you actually have to select two days it includes the day you check out I just experienced that with another camper so just a bit information I don't know if hip camp changed something or what, but if you're staying one night select two days and it'll work.

We have a dry, pull through RV site that can accommodate 1 RV.
A short walk down the road to our driveway will lead you to the beach access. There are 2 canoes and 2 kayaks onsite with adult sized lifejackets and paddles for you to borrow.
Bring your WA state fishing license and you can fish off the point or try your hand at kayak fishing!
Please be aware that this property is located just off the shipping channel. It’s important to keep watch for ships, changing tides and inclement weather.
The shoreline is rocky, requiring sturdy footwear. You will likely have to carry your watercraft over some large pieces of driftwood to enter the water. Please return all watercraft to its original place to keep them safe from changing tides.

The outdoor kitchen includes two picnic tables, a gas and charcoal grill with burner, basic cooking equipment, and dishes for 8. Propane and wood fire pits are included.
Camping at Hidden Pillar is a primitive, off-grid experience:
- No electricity; no running water
- Bring all water or purification system; pack out all trash
- Gravel roads are steep and rutted—high-clearance vehicle recommended for cabin and Creekside access

The campground is in a secluded meadow next to Powder Creek, a pristine year round stream, perfect for wading and playing in. Each of our 13 extra large campsites offers access to the creek, a picnic table and campfire ring.
All sites accommodate RVs as well as tent camping. No hook-ups or potable water available.

The Ranch has 1/2 mile of Nestucca River frontage where you can swim or fish, whichever floats your boat.
Niagara Creek/Pheasant Creek falls is a nearby hiking trail and there are roads as well as deer and elk trails to explore all over the ranch. If you feel like venturing further, the beach is 23 miles away in Pacific City. Tillamook is 25 miles.

My new favorite site for so many reasons !!
First of all…..the drive from Portland was breathtaking!, so relaxing and picturesque! Hope’s directions were perfect, I love that it was a pull thru site and saw the “Otter Cove” sign right away!
So many pluses about this place ..from the water , and wood onsite for no extra fee is really unheard of!
And they also let you borrow a kayak and life vests! SO GENEROUS! Hope was also very responsive and even though it was a solo camping trip , I felt safe and welcomed ! My only regret is that I didn’t get to meet Hope, it was a such a short trip! I can’t wait to go back for more nights!

Awesome secluded river front camping. We showed up just after dark from crabbing all day at netarts bay. The host greeted us and helped us access fresh water to hose down our boat/pots. Her husband went above and beyond and cooked our crab for us, is his much larger setup. Saved us easily an hour of work, which was amazing. Great people with a beautiful spot. Will definitely stay again on future crabbing trips.

Rhett’s Ranch and the owner Anne are amazing! I had my wedding here on 9/26/26, I highly recommend. Anne was so accommodating and gracious, she was really lovely to work with which was such a bonus! Plus 40 acres to roam around in. My wedding was beautiful, so much more then what I even imagined and Rhetts Ranch was a huge part of that. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Lovely spot for an overnight.
There was a bit of road noise , but at night the traffic died down and it was super quiet!
The host left firewood, a shovel and a bucket at every campsite so we enjoyed a fire.
There was also a hammock there and we put all our backpacks in there to keep them off the ground.
We stayed in #7. I knew from the reviews that it wasn’t level but we found a way to park the van so it was level for sleeping.
Pit toilets were clean and had hand sanitizer.
We were the only ones there so we walked up the hill and scoped out the other sites. Site #3 looked like the best. Would definitely come back.

We loved everything about Dave’s “Lake Pasture Haven”. It was just we needed to fully unplug & relax. The grounds are laid out so thoughtfully. We enjoyed drinking our coffee out on the dock over looking Sear’s Lake. The “Family Stories” at each camp-sight are such a special touch. We will definitely be coming back!! I would highly recommend this campground for staying in Cannon Beach. The people who run it are so friendly. You can literally walk across the street and bridge into cannon beach. This is a big benefit because parking can be crazy during the day.\nAnd the whole town sort of empties out at night. This site is small, I ended up in 63 which was great!

Great little spots. Stayed Saturday though Monday. Stayed in spot #7 Not as secluded as I usually prefer, but great as we spent most our time at Oceanside and Short Beach. The lower spots 6,7,8 are a walk uphill to the provided water, not bad just good to know. The recommendation on firewood was great, bought 4 bundles and didn’t go through it all and had a fire every night and morning of the stay. I will definitely stay again. Close to fishing crabbing and rockhounding.

About
Lush forest trails and sweeping headlands lead the way to cliff-top lookout points and sandy shores in the Oswald West State Park. Beach-goers can head straight to Short Sand Beach—or ‘Shorty’s’ as it’s known to locals—to hit the surf, stroll the secluded sands, or explore the tidepools. Hikers have miles of trails to explore, too, including a 13-mile section of the Oregon Coast Trail. Hike to Blumenthal Falls, admire the views from Neahkahnie Mountain and Cape Falcon, or enjoy bird-watching along Short Sand Creek. There’s no camping in the park, but campers have options along the coast.
When to go
Oswald West State Park is accessible year-round, but the most popular time to visit is from June through September. The surf is gentle enough for beginners in the summer months (winter swells can be dangerous), but expect big crowds—get there early to snag a parking spot. Late spring and early autumn are ideal for hikers, and the Oregon Coast Trail affords stunning views of the park’s spring wildflowers and fall foliage.
Know before you go
- Oswald West State Park is located 10 miles south of Cannon Beach, or about a 10-minute drive along Highway 101. You’ll need your own vehicle to get to the park, as there’s no public transport, and there are four free parking lots at the trailheads.
- Facilities within the park include restrooms, picnic tables, and drinking water fountains, but you’ll need to bring everything else with you. There are shops and restaurants within a 10-minute drive, or head to Cannon Beach to stock up on supplies.
- The park has ADA restrooms, and the Neahkahnie Mountain viewpoint is wheelchair accessible.
