Hong is very friendly and helpful. We loved his place. It was very cute. Best part? Sitting on the porch overlooking the river in the morning watching the Blue Heron fish and the swallows grab bugs on the water.

We loved staying at Raines. Hong (the host) was super helpful with recommendations and getting acquainted with the resort. It was just the right distance from cape Kiwanda and other POIs in pacific city. The dock access on the river was an awesome addition as well. We stayed in T1 and it was nice having the extra privacy of being in the corner. Having access to a washer and dryer was a life saver for us because we stayed for 4 nights. Don’t forget to bring stakes for tents or a canopy because the wind comes through the camp throughout the day.

Absolutely the nicest host I have met. Welcoming, professional and helpful. The “campground” worked for what we needed. A place to stay. Great access for fishing. The downside is a tight fit between campers and some units look broken in place and well lived in. (The nice way to say it).

Communication was very easy and clear. Site was lovely annd very quiet. Bathroom/shower was very clean and it was even stocked with toiletries. Would definitely come back if I’m ever in the area again.

verall, we had a good stay at Raines Resort. The owner, Hong, is wonderful—very welcoming and helpful. We noticed there are quite a few permanent residents in RVs on the property, but the facilities were never an issue; the bathrooms were not crowded at all. Having access to clean bathrooms and hot water showers was a great perk during our trip. The only downside is the lack of privacy, as the campsites are situated quite close to one another. We also noticed some glass pieces at our site (likely left behind by previous campers), but as soon as we mentioned it, Hong made arrangements to have them cleaned up immediately. We really appreciated the quick response and great hospitality!

Cute quiet small campground! They have a couple tent sites and the sites are small as a heads up and not much to separate you from the other sites. Luckily I was the only one there during my stay so I had plenty of space for my dogs to get some space to run around a little The campsite was a great location to all the activities and hikes I was doing and it was so nice to have a clean bathroom/shower to use to clean up at the end of the day I’d definitely recommend even if you are just stopping for the night

We were stoked to find a last minute site for the 4th of July. The campsite was sufficient to crash at. The host was kind and accommodated a campsite change as we had a rooftop tent and our site had low hanging trees. Bathrooms were clean. The dock access was a huge bonus if you want to kayak or paddle board. The sites are simply a grass patch to park on. You have to drive through other sites to get to most sites, so it’s a little tight to navigate. Wouldn’t recommend if you tend to spend time relaxing at the site and need privacy or space. Quiet hours were not enforced.

Happy to find availability on 4th of July weekend for the night. Pretty flat ground and easy access. Small location but had 30amp power and water which fit perfect our needs. Beautiful river access and fishing. Quiet little town and nice full timers that live on-site. Felt very safe and enjoyed all the birds chirping away. Camp Host “Hong” had excellent communication and very welcoming.

Super close to the ocean! It’s kind of a RV park so not super campsite-y, but it had a hot shower and enclosed bathroom and it’s a great location. Hong was super helpful and kind as well. I’d go back 😊

Inaccurate listing and tiny sites

We ended up leaving and finding a forest road to sleep on. When I booked the map in the listing shows 3 tent sites, I messaged beforehand making sure our truck camper was okay and specifically booked the 3rd site because it was a corner site and we have dogs. When we arrived there were 5 tent sites in an area that wasn’t even big enough to turn our truck around in. There was one other vehicle there at the time and had we parked in our designated site they wouldn’t have been able to get out. If you just want some grass to crash on for a day or two of surfing this would probably work but wouldn’t recommend if you’re planning on camping in your vehicle, have dogs, or want the freedom to leave without asking your neighbors to move.

Nice host and nice space, really close to cape kawanda which was beautiful, and it was right next to a nice little river. The owner and people living on site were really nice too and gave us some good tips about what to do.
