Enjoy a quarter mile of Kilchis River access in the Tillamook Forest! If you prefer a more private setting you can put up a tent or bring a small RV on the riverside site on the far west end of the property, or choose the comfort of staying in our rustic cabin. Book both sites for extra large groups or if you need more space/privacy. There is no electricity or running water in the cabin, however a generator can be rented if it is desired. Potable water is also available if you bring a jug to fill. A portable toilet is available on-site. Take advantage of the opportunity to go fishing, swimming, or launch your boat/kayak/tube. Alternatively, simply relax and enjoy the picturesque views of the river and the wildlife in the coastal rainforest. Watch the salmon jump during spawning season in November, or cast a rod from our private fishing spot. We are also a birdwatcher's and rockhounding paradise! Just a few minutes away from town amenities, this location allows you to immerse yourself in the tranquility of the forested river canyon, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We are family and fur baby friendly! If you are an animal lover, take the time to enjoy a visit with our cats and chickens too. *Please note, while we have no direct neighbors, we are in a narrow river canyon. There is an active farm and wedding venue across the river. You may hear distant noise of their operations or events, depending on the season. There is also a quarry across the road that operates M-F, from 8a-3p that sometimes can be heard sporadically throughout the day.

This site is a flat, dirt/grassy space on the bank of the river. This site will accommodate multiple vehicles, small RVs, travel trailers, and tents. There is plenty of room to spread out for privacy. A picnic table and firepit are at the site, however, there are no hookups at this site. Generators are allowed. Potable water is available from the host if you bring a jug to fill. There are no bathroom amenities at this site. Guests will need to be self contained, take waste with them and leave no trace. Book the orchard site add on for parking for one additional vehicle and room to spread out. Maximum occupancy is negotiable, just contact host prior to booking to discuss. This site offers a lot of privacy as it is located on the far west end of our 5 acre property. There is access to the river's rocky beach via a dirt trail located just behind the cabin site. Launch a boat from the campground upriver and paddle to your campsite or drift from your site to one of the boat ramps further downriver. You will have private access to a prime fishing spot, or summer recreation in the Kilchis river. We are a perfect paradise for birdwatching, rockhounding, kayaking, and hiking all in one location! *Use of cabin amenities (porta potty, soaker tub) may be available if cabin site is not booked. Just ask host upon arrival!

Catch 3 types of salmon, Steelhead and trout depending on the season. *Please note this is not an overnight site. This is day use river access only. Check in/out time for this site is dawn/dusk

This rustic cabin is nestled under the tree canopy with a beautiful river view. There is a queen bed in the cabin and room to set up an air mattress or cot. Extra guests not sleeping in the cabin can set up a tent or hang a hammock in the trees. If electricity is desired, there is a generator available for rent. A portable toilet is on site. There is no running water, however potable water is available at the site if you bring a jug. There is an outdoor "kitchen" area with a small sink designed for use with water jug, a propane grill, and a picnic table on site. For your convenience, a fridge, microwave and coffee maker are available inside the cabin. For those rainy days, a TV and DVD player are available, or set up a card table and play some board games. An indoor safe propane heater is provided at no extra cost. Outside, enjoy a quarter mile of riverbank access to a prime fishing hole for Chinook, Chum, Steelhead, and Trout in Fall, Winter, and Spring. In Summer head down to the rocky beach to soak up some sunshine, or to cool off in the water. For ultimate relaxation, or a romantic evening book the 2 person soaker tub. Light a campfire in one of the designated fire pits on the beach, or near the cabin. Enjoy the sounds of the Kilchis river and coastal rainforest. Dogs are welcome at this campsite, and we even have an aerial zipline for use if you need. In fact, our river valley is a great place to get away if your dog is bothered by fireworks and noisy holiday celebrations. This site is most economical for a group camping trip, family getaway, or a special event! Book the riverside/RV site too for larger groups. Maximum occupancy is negotiable, just contact host prior to booking to discuss. This site can be booked without cabin access and the cleaning fee will be refunded

It’s a great spot on the Kilches. Yeah there is an active quarry but they don’t operate all day. Not a big deal. Dog friendly and great river access. We travel with our own power banks so electricity wasn’t an issue for us. I’d go again especially in the summer for the great swimming.

What a cute little spot! Was a little more exposed and industrial than we had expected, just off the driveway path of the main property/home and with houses and a well-traveled gravel road nearby. Site was clean and stocked with everything we could need upon arrival. Cowboy hot tub under the stars was magical, the little cabin was stocked with a heater, detailed instructions, snacks, and the lights and paths were intentional and helpful in keeping the vibes cozy and safe with plenty of room for tents. If you're sensitive to noise, this may not be the spot for you. There was a quarry some 25 yards or so away that was very very noisy from 7:30am to about 4:30pm on weekdays with machinery noise and beeping non-stop. Only an 8-minute drive into town if needed, spotty cell service but if you absolutely needed something could drive about 3 minutes out to have reliable data, and a great river for fishing. Sarah and Michael were helpful and present upon arrival and when we needed things and then let us be for the remainder of our stay. But the BEST part by FAR were Butters and Anubis, the camping cats. These two brought so much joy and love and relaxation to the experience! If you're looking for a chill getaway in the area as opposed to an airbnb or hotel, this is the spot for you.

Sarah and Michael’s property was exactly what we were looking for - private camp site on the Kilchis River for us to park our camper van for the night. Sarah and Michael were great hosts! Welcomed us when we got in, and even helped us get out of some mud that we got ourselves into. Property also has a nice little cabin available to rent! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Kilchis River cabin was largely as advertised. It is a rustic tiny cabin on a beautiful river. We stayed there in January which is an unpredictable month for weather and this year the river was very low due to limited rain. I had a nice tramp on the trail that goes along the river. It was cold! Which is to be expected. The cabin itself is small but could easily accommodate two people. The bed was comfy and warm! There were a few amenities lacking but our hosts were very responsive in getting us what we needed, such as a second chair to sit on and a kettle to boil water. Beyond that, the cabin is very basically appointed. The rental of the generator for light and power is essential in the winter months, as the weather is cold and it gets dark early. We were glad to have that available, as the site would not be manageable without it. Guests should be aware of this necessary expense/noise/fumes if staying in winter. Overall we had a nice stay, and our hosts were very friendly and responsive. But for the price and having to pay extra for the generator to have power in the cabin, we think this might be a better experience during warmer months.

BUT the best of it all is MISS MICHELLE 🪽 Oh my Heavens She is a 🙏🪽ANGEL 😇 The next morning, I met All the Horses and Stella met her Dogs, they had a blast ❣️❣️❣️

The cabin at Sarah’s place is awesome. It’s warm and cozy with thoughtful touches and the rushing river is blissful. Seeing the salmon spawning and jumping was an extra treat. We loved our stay and are already planning a return trip. The hosts were extremely gracious and helpful - by far the best hosts we have ever encountered on Hipcamp. Thankyou Sarah!!!

We absolutely loved our stay! The cabin was cozy, the river view was beautiful, and having the chickens around (plus renting Butters the cat!) made it extra fun. 🐓🐾 The campfire setup was perfect, and the hosts were awesome! Super responsive and kind. Such a peaceful little escape...we’ll definitely be back!

We booked a last minute trip and it was a great stay. We booked the cabin and it was nice and cozy with a 1 minute walk to the river. Also the bench and grill which definitely came in handy. Finding the location was easy as well. We did the hot tube option and enjoyed it outside on the deck. Easy to use and nice to be under the trees. Definitely would recommend or stay again.

We had such a nice time just getting away from everything for a few days. The cabin was nice, and there's a nice area for a campfire with comfortable chairs. Sarah and Michael were awesome, and we even made some new cat friends. I hope to book it again someday.

Clean campground, well thought out amenities on the campground (picnic bench) “kitchen” tables built into trees. Easy walk to the river. However sound is an issue unfortunately. The site is close to a busy road lots of cars coming too and from on Friday at least. Rock quarry nearby too. While there there seamed to be a wedding or party going on up across the river? Maybe there is a venue nearby. All things to consider before booking. Wasn’t as peaceful/quiet as we anticipated unfortunately.

This spot was great for a few reasons! We loved being out in Tillamook, but away from the big campgrounds because we have dogs and like the quiet privacy. This place offered privacy in a serene setting with creek access!

The cabin is super cozy and very clean. The bed was comfy too. We enjoyed sitting around the campfire by night and the dogs ran around on the beach and we waded in the river by day (which we had all to ourselves)! Our hosts were easy to communicate with, very welcoming and accommodating. There is a bit of occasional noise from a nearby road and farm activity across the river- (if you're looking for a total escape into nature this might not be for you). It was perfect getaway for us --especially not having to spend hours on the road to get there. We look forward to coming back :)

The owners were both so sweet and made sure to check in during our stay! Land was well kept for camping and we had plenty of privacy and access to the towns around. River access was tricky but owner came down first day to give us more details preemptively!

We had a great time at this site. It felt very spacious with the hang out/eating/fire area being separate from the tent area on the other side of the little cabin. The cabin was great because it allowed my mom, who says she’s too old for an air masters, to camp with us. The proximity to the Kilchis River and the short drive to town made it very convenient. The only location downside is the daytime (though intermittent) noise from the nearby quarry, but if you go exploring during the day they were done by 3pm or so, and you don’t notice the noise as much from the river. Overall a great spot with lovely hosts!

We stayed in our campers at the cabin spot and it was great! We were right next to the river which our dogs loved and even got some fishing in. The spot held our 3 trucks with campers nicely, there was fresh straw laid down which kept the dust away. There was plenty of space for all of us. Sarah was very accommodating and responded quickly. I would definitely recommend!
