The site is unimproved, small, and close to HWY 101 so very noisy. Not really any place to walk or stretch your legs. Listing is much more enticing. Not worth the money

This camp is nestled in a beautiful bend in the Nemah river, and there's even a big gnarled old grove tree on the site. We saw a small bat flying fighter jet style patterns over the river in the twilight hours to eat bugs, which may help explain why the mosquitos were actually almost non-existent despite being next to the river. The site is very close to a section of highway that gets occasional traffic even at night, so you can expect some road noise. Also, the first 10-15 feet of driveway into the site has a big bump in it, so if you have a long RV with a nasty overhang in the back or very low clearance that could be an issue for you. Would stay again.

Beautiful lush greenery and right on the river. As other reviews have said, you can hear the road but I didn't find it bothersome. I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much if the other site was taken as they are very close to each other, but we had the place to ourselves and it was great.

Love this little spot. Private, secluded and great for kids or dogs. The sound of the stream on the property is soothing and peaceful. There is a fire pit and so much space to set up camp. Shelly is very kind and a great host! Have been here before and will be back again soon.

Camping on Sarah's land was awesome!! Took my nieces and nephew out there for a night on less than 24 hours notice. Sarah's response time was great. I recommend reserving both camp sites for a better experience. We will definitely be out there again.

The river was beautiful. Having the highway noise took a little bit away from the serenity of the space but overall thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I hope to be back later in the summer

This is a lovely property along a small, coastal river. There is ample room to pitch tents or park an RV. The host communicated timely and thoroughly.

The spot was nice right by a creek. Some toad noise but decreased as it got later. It would be nicer if there was an outhouse though. It was in the listing that there were no facilities. We have a camper van so always bring our own toilet. Had to watch your step for piles of 🧻 TP in certain areas. People could at least bury their waste. Otherwise it was an easy spot to park and spend the night near Longbeach.

The water access and beauty of this spot is incredible and it’s nice it’s so close to Long Beach but not in the hustle and bustle. The site is clean and set up nice for campfire. My kids and dogs were thoroughly entertained with all the discovery and water exploration this hipcamp provided. Campers should be mindful that the spot is close to a main highway that is busy in peak season and so you need to keep an extra close watch on dogs and kids. Also, cars and trucks hitting the rumble strip late into the night can be a challenge to get to sleep but we found we did eventually get there and the kids didn’t care at all. We rented both campsites so we wouldn’t have to share and I am glad we did because the two sites are cozy but totally doable for two couples.

This is a beautiful chunk of land and river. Our little family were on our last night of a 10 day Oregon coast road trip when we stayed here. It was so nice to have the place all to ourselves and play at the river. With that said,there isn't a very clear separation of "sites". We only reserved 1, and got really lucky that we were alone. If someone else was there it would be a very different atmosphere. I'd probably recommend only reserving it out to one group at a time. 101 is right by the driveway,so road noise is loud at camp,but we were expecting that. You don't hear it as much at the river. Overall I'd recommend this as a sweet layover place to stay. Thanks Shelly!

Beautiful forested spot right on the water. I was the only one and it was perfect. If there was another camper it would not have been so great. Google maps took me to the wrong spot and I was definitely lost and trespassing on someone's land but she responded very quick to my messages and helped me find it.

I do not recommend this place at all. Maps will lead you to the middle of HWY 101 and say “arrived”. There is a small pull off that opens up into a patch of grass. I texted the host (Shelly) to try to clarify if I was in the right spot. Her answers were misleading and then stopped all together. The “private property” signs were shredded up along the field as well as multiple piles of trash along the site. There was a handwritten note into a log stating that the person who had marked this as private property needs to come forward with proper documentation. The note was very threatening and made us feel very uneasy about staying. This should not qualify as two sites as it is essentially a small patch of grass literally on the highway. The road noise never actually fades off, even at night. We didn’t see anyone else the whole time we were there but there was some mysterious drone activity as we were attempting to relax from the day. I’m sorry I ever paid for this place.

Very sweet spot to stay while you’re visiting the coast. As several have mentioned the sites are a bit close and the noise from the road can wake you up. However the site is beautiful and if everything gets booked up elsewhere it’s a great place to stay so close to the coast.

A beautiful secluded spot by the river. We camped with our friends - we each had our own trailer. Great fire pit with a bit of firewood. Felt like we were really in the deep dark woods - but the highway was right next to us. Wonderful grassy meadow where my dog could romp. Spent two fabulous nights.

Beautiful campsite next to a peaceful stream. Plenty of room for tents and RVs. There are trout in the stream, but they are cautious and a good challenge to catch. A little bit of road noise from 101, but overall a nice spot.

We had some trouble with communication. A few days ahead of our arrival, we asked for landmarks or specific location instruction since we would be arriving at the camp after dark. No response. Sent a second message the day of the reservation and the host was confused about which location we had reserved. We then called the host and were given exact instructions. There was no address number marked that we could see on the road, just a limp paper sign on a tree marking the camp. Pretty creek from afar, but other campers set up near creek access and we did not want to disturb them. Got in late, left early.
Location is about 50 feet off of Hwy 101 and road noise was pretty loud and frequent through the night. Ear plugs are recommended.
