Welcome to Holistic Life Farm! We are a working homestead and delight in sharing our daily experience and offer visits with our sheep, cows and chickens. Holistic Life Farm offers a 1 dry tent site for up to 12 people, a quaint hideaway cabin, and a glamped out 16x20 canvas tent with a wood stove. We also offer 1 RV site in our parking area. Stop on your way to Astoria and the coast and make this your destination. Find us about 30 minutes off I-5 freeway across the Longview bridge or 45 minutes east of Astoria. Our farm sits about 5 miles off Highway 30 to the north. We can direct you to hiking and mountain biking trails in the area (Beaver Falls trailhead is 5 miles from our farm). There is a motor boat launch in the town of Clatskanie, with access to Columbia River. There is also a launch in the city park for kayaking. The Zen Monastery is just 5 miles away. Long Beach, WA is across the Columbia River via the Astoria Bridge. Lounging about the homestead works too.

Want to get out of the weekend campground chaos? Holistic Life Farm offers tent camping for one group at a time. Pic your flat spot amongst the trees in our west pasture. We will have the grass mowed if tall. Stop on your way to Astoria and the coast and make this your destination.  Find us about 30 minutes off I-5 freeway across the Longview bridge or 45 minutes east of Astoria.  Our farm sits about 5 miles off Highway 30 to the north.  We are a working homestead and delight in sharing our daily experience and offer visits with our sheep, cows and chickens.  We do rotational grazing on our farm, so cows or sheep may, on occasion be in the vicinity of your campsite, if so, your camp site will have a electric fence around it to prevent the cows/sheep from being on your campsite. The mobile chicken coop is sometimes located in this vicinity.  Our hens like to announce when an egg is laid.  It is quite fun to listen to in the mornings. Our refurbished compost outhouse is just a short walk from the tent site. There is no electricity or water at the tent site so make sure to include lanterns and water along with your camp gear.  There is a picnic table, and you might even be able to hang a hammock.  What you carry in, please carry out. There is no fire pit at the site.  We are a no open flame property.  We appreciate your consideration and understanding. ** Farm fresh eggs for sale to campers. We are happy to provide price and availability if you are interested.  We can direct you to hiking and mountain biking trails in the area (Beaver Falls trailhead is 5 miles from our farm). The cabin overlooks the beautiful coastal range and nearby forest off the deck. Open the front wall and enjoy the breeze from the west during your stay. Our refurbished compost outhouse is just a short walk across the pasture.   There is no electricity or running water so make sure to include lanterns and water along with your camp gear. There is collected rain-water for rinsing dishes and washing hands. You will find a picnic table, 2 camp chairs and a small (real small) folding camp table. You will need to BRING YOUR OWN BEDDING, lots of blankets and/or sleeping bags to keep warm at night during the winter months. We offer propane heating if needed (see under "Extras" for details. We also offer a propane fire pit (also under Extras). This cabin is small, but will hold 2 adults on the single foam beds, or the beds can be put together creating a narrow double sleeping arrangement. Campers do have the option to add additional guests outside the cabin in personal tents for an additional $10 per person (just email us if you would like to bring extra guests) We offer carts to transport your gear out to the cabin.  The cabin sits about 1/8th mile from your car/truck across our west pasture.   **Ask about WiFi access in case you want to work remotely during your stay. We can set you up in the barn at no charge.  We can direct you to hiking and mountain biking trails in the area (Beaver Falls trailhead is 5 miles from our farm). There is a motorboat and kayaking launch in the town of Clatskanie, Beaver Boat Ramp, with access to Columbia River. There is also a launch in the city park for kayaking. The Zen Monastery is just 5 miles away (closed to public during Covid-19). Long Beach, WA is across the Columbia River via the Astoria Bridge. Lounging about the homestead works too.

Holistic Life Farm now offers a glamped out 16x20 canvas tent with wood stove nestled amongst the trees in our north pasture. The tent is 100% breathable cotton with extra tall ceilings, and 5 screened windows, allowing you to stay cool during the summer months. The tent and porch are covered by a 100% waterproof rain fly, with a handicap ramp for easy access. The tent overlooks the beautiful coastal range and nearby forest off the deck. The deck faces west offering incredible sunsets. Open the front wall and enjoy the breeze and view from inside the tent. There is one queen size bed, one day bed and one trundle bed to accommodate 4 guests. Campers do have the option to add additional guests outside the Glamping tent in personal tents for an additional $10 per person (just email us if you would like to bring extra guests). All of the wood structure for this site is reclaimed. The wood floor is made of 130-year-old Douglas Fir timber reclaimed from a fallen down barn. The chairs and table on the deck, made from the same old-growth timber. There is a full size wood burning stove in the tent which will keep the tent extremely warm in the coldest of winter temperatures .  The wood and kindling is included with your booking, you just need to haul it from the barn as you need it. Bedding and clean sheets are provided for the queen bed. There is no running water, so make sure to bring water along with your camp gear. Bring your propane camp stove to cook up a great meal. We offer a garden cart to transport your gear out to the tent. The tent is in the  pasture about 200 yards from where your park.  Our updated compost outhouse is just a short walk from the tent. Our working homestead is just 4 miles off Highway 30, about 45 minutes from Astoria. We delight in sharing our experience and offer visits with our sheep, cows, and chickens. We can direct you to hiking and mountain biking trails in the area (Beaver Falls trailhead is 5 miles from our farm). There is a motor boat and kayak launch in the town of Clatskanie, Beaver Boat Ramp, with access to Columbia River. There is also a launch in the city park for kayaking. We only stayed one night in the Glamping Tent on our way to Astoria, but it was lovely. The tent was charming and the composting outhouse was clean and organized. It's a short walk to the tent, but we did appreciate the carts/wagons that they thoughtfully provide to lug all of our stuff to the tent. The stars were magnificent, too! The only downer was that we had asked for eggs to take with us the next day, which the hosts did apparently provide, but our phones had all died with nowhere to charge them, so we didn't get their message as to where they had left them until after we had already left. Not their fault, though. Just a mishap with dead cell phone batteries! Our favorite part may have been their sweet dog, James, and a little kitty cat, both of which were so loving and affectionate. Thanks for a short, but wonderful stay. We appreciated it. :)

Wow, wow, wow - what a lovely stay we had at Paul and Kim's farm! The glamping tent was EXACTLY as pictured - so cozy, comfy, and well-appointed. The bed and the day bed with pullout trundle were so comfy! And the farm was magical for my three kids who spent much of their time roaming, exploring, meeting the farm animals, and even got to watch Buttercup the cow get milked. Paul and Kim were so welcoming, warm, responsive, and helpful. My kids are already asking when we can go back again. The landscape was so beautiful - my kids kept saying they felt like they were on Little House on the Prairie! What a little gem we have discovered. <3

Tent Camping Next to Your Car
We were traveling through and needed a place to stay for a quick night. We chose the location up against the white fence line. The place was easy to find. We got there at night, and the lot isn’t level. So bring your own leveling blocks! The host was communicative. No one greeted us so we had to search for the composting toilet before finally sending a message and hearing back about 15 minutes later. The place is quiet, which is nice, and not many neighbors all around you. There’s not much in terms of scenery and not a place we would stay at more than a quick night, but for traveling through, it was fine.

We loved the glamping tent and farm! My son (age 7) absolutely loved the farm experience; we said hi to the cat, dog, sheep, goat and chickens. My husband, kiddo and I played sports in the field at sunset and really appreciated the quiet atmosphere. The tent was perfect, warm bedding, clean and a great experience. We will absolutely come back!

Really wanted to enjoy this time and place. I read the description fully. I asked for help in messages prior to visit, and in person after arrived- I said a few times I will need instruction on wood stove as this was my first time with one. And also needed wood. There was only one log in the tent, obviously no where near enough to start the stove. Listing said wood available in barn. It was a barn for a lot of everything, but I was unable to find any wood meant for hipcampers.. At a moment we did see owners, and I reminded I needed help- that was the end of it; I didn’t get the help. I wanted to learn so I could start the wood stove upon waking next morning. I took screenshots of listing because I knew service would be none or spotty. I do think some sort of a note inside would have done wonders. I would think this is a part of hosting a glamping experience. I do also love to camp. But I didn’t book a camping spot; I wanted this a special ‘glamping’ experience and unfortunately it fell way short. I also assumed we’d at least see some animals (or maybe a note left about that opportunity..?). Saw chickens near their coop; a cat and a dog; and a goat on a rope. I hoped for a more natural scene of a farm. Didn’t even see anywhere to explore. In the end- some may love this and get to see animals and have wood stove knowledge. But for me personally- ‘hosting’ fell way short. I hope improvements to be made, or the listing to be more honest, and the cost more appropriate.

Great yurt on a beautiful farm. The setup has everything you’d need plus a comfy bed. Cardamom the goat was a riot, James the farm dog was friendly. Short, 12 minute jaunt to the (very steep) Beaver Falls trail which leads to the cool waterfall (20 min or so). All in all very quiet and relaxing.

The photos and reviews didn’t match our experience. It seems like it was a lovely spot when it was set up, but the overall vibe is a little run down. I did a farm stay in Dallas last year with my daughter that was so lovely. This was a bit of a let down in comparison. It was quiet and we enjoyed hearing the owls at night. The chickens were fun to see. No goats though.

We had a great one night stay. The tent is well furnished and the outhouse set up is clean, ingenious and very close. It would be smart to understand the functions of an old school wood stove so you don't smoke yourselves out. Pets are welcome on leash or tether but we were not aware that the family dog was free ranging. Very friendly dog but ours was unexpectedly surprised by the welcome visit at the door and it set a tone of watchfulness for us. Had we been aware, introduction and play would have been. That said.. I give this one 5 stars on all scores and the eggs are as rich in quality as the quiet woods banking these spaces. Owl spotting was fun. ❤️

Thank you so much for providing an excellent overnight stay for our group of three plus three dogs. The sleeping spaces were so comfortable—we slept like rocks—the glamping tent was beautifully appointed with cozy bedding, extra quilts, and lighting. We appreciated the hosts’ careful directions and accessibility as we had a few questions. The fireplace was a workhorse, there was plenty of kindling, we enjoyed a simple meal around the fire and it was more than we hoped for! Thank you also for accommodating my daughter’s need to connect computer for her work. Your cats are absolutely charming. We had a hard time saying bye to them. You are doing a great job with your glamping. Hope to see you again down the road.

Lovely property. Perfect for two people as each get their own cot. I also liked that there was a sink and heater (although we didn’t use since it’s summer time). Definitely bring a pillow, but sheet and quilt are provided. loved seeing the chickens and cows!

Nice large tent with weather proof material and covered deck. The farm animals are great to see everyday and to hang out with. The Large tent is not too close to the barn, and feels secluded due to the hill and trees. There is plenty of space in the tent to move around and relax. I would stay here again.

Peaceful property tucked away from the hustle. The tent is spacious and well furnished. I enjoyed the solitude and wood fire stove. There was a little calico feline concierge there to greet me but didn't wear a collar. After a shirt conversation we agreed their name would be Dr Concierge Dribble, as they drooled when pet. They were friendly and well behaved, be kind to Dr Dribbles if they pay a visit. Awesome break in a tucked away paradise.

Wonderful little slice of property! Directions are clear, setup is simple, lodging is as advertised. We loved our stay in the little A frame cabin - clean, cozy, comfortable. We rented a buddy heater to keep warm & it worked great, only needed it for about an hour. Nestled the two beds together to make one large space. Used wagons to help transport goods down to the cabin & were grateful they were available. Host is responsive and kind - swapped some farm goods for some shellfish & gave us good hiking and local event info. Great stay!!

I stayed in the A-frame cabin in the woods and it couldn’t have been more perfect. I needed a retreat to get away by myself and reconnect with nature and this was well beyond what I expected. Kyle took great care of me upon checking in and Sydney offered me a dozen farm fresh eggs that had just been harvested! I left after three days and two nights a brand new person!!! Thanks :-) PS I’ll be back!
