Sixes, OR · 5 sites · Tents, RVs
- Open Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend - Grassy mowed area along the Sixes River on our cattle ranch and cranberry farm. We provide an outdoor shower and composting toilet shared by the 5 camp sites. The shower water is filtered water from a shallow well, but bring water to drink. This campsite lies about 1 mile from the pacific ocean at about 15 feet elevation so it will be cooler than inland camp sites. I believe we are the closest camping to the south side of the Blacklock Hiking Trails. Also next to the Cape Blanco State Airport. (call if you want to fly in and get transport to and from the campsite). Access Road is a single lane in and out (gravel, dirt, and grass). Any towed trailers need to be pulled by a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle to climb back out (in and out procedures for trailers will be provided) Bring a fishing pole or a kayak. Sea-run trout are in the river during the summer (no motorized vehicles allowed in the Sixes River by law. No motorized vehicles in campsite besides automobiles by rule.) - Please be accurate with the number of guests in your party. Please note about lack of signage: The "walters landing" and "92220" on airport road are the only markings to indicate our entrance. We don't want to put any "campground" signs to avoid curious trespassers into the property (we only want invited guests). Campsite Rules: 1. Enjoy. 2. No motorized vehicles besides your auto. 3. Make sure your fun doesn't detract from the fun had by other campers. 4. No illegal activity. 5. Clean up after your pet in the camp and river bank area or anywhere people will be walking or playing. 6. No unfriendly pets, even if they are on a leash. Must be safe with other children and pets and livestock.

Welcome to Timber Ridge Ranch! A rustic tree farm with close proximity to the beach. Experience a variety of epic timber campsites just above the iconic surf spot, Oswald State Beach, also known as Short Sands (aka “Shorty’s”). Nestled in a coastal Forrest, a short stay with us will have you feeling both inspired and connected as you experience our regions legacy industry: evergreen farming. So pack your flannel and join in the heritage of the Pacific Northwest logging traditions… Whether you're set on catching waves, hiking Smugglers Cove, or exploring the charming towns of Cannon Beach and Manzanita, our picturesque property provides the perfect basecamp for your adventures. Sites range from secluded two person hideouts to large open group sites for 30 people. With this unique setting, why settle for a traditional campsite ever again? Embrace the majesty of Timber Ridge Ranch. Disclaimers: We had one person say that this place is not 2 Wheel Drive accessible. Therefore we highly recommend four-wheel-drive (4WD)! There have been cougar, bear, and elk sightings, so please don’t leave food out and be careful! Although Short Sands Beach / Oswald State Park is close, it’s not really walkable. However, it is only two miles South on Hwy 101 to the parking lots from our gate. Most of the campsites are about a mile up the hill from our main entrance. So a total of about 3 miles to Shorty’s. Fair warning: All of these sites are great for car camping and not great for tent camping. There is lots of rocks and not a lot of grass padding. Lastly; there are no bathrooms! Please make sure you bring your own bathroom! If we find any messes left we do charge a $250 fine. Thank you for for helping us keep our sites beautiful and safe for all!

Close to area cities, but private and beautiful. Campsites are along the woods in an open meadow. We have a tasting room onsite where we serve cider, perry and wine that we make here (open Fri-Sun, 3-9pm in summer). Lots of great bird watching, beautiful gardens and great backdrop of the coast Range. We host a summer concert series, usually on Saturdays, so those days are blocked. You may still be able to come though- just shoot me a message!

Learn more about this land: We have 125 acre farm ranch that is waterfront on brownlee reservoir. We have 5 different camping vacations options. 1 cabin to rent. 1 camp trailer on a nice waterfront lot as well as 3 camp sports 1 with water and power hook ups (site. 2 water wheel) and 2 dry camp spots. we have a spot to launch boats which is right between sight 3 and 4. Good fishing. Very little boat traffic. Very private. In the fall big horn sheep frequently rut on the property. We usually have fresh eggs on hand. Dry climate. Sage brush and juniper trees here. We have an easy to access spot to fill up water to your camp trailers or rvs. The water is from a spring and Water tastes really good. We just added a 24ft pontoon boat for rent. This area has a lot of history. Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce tribe often stayed in this area and on the property. In fact this was where his tribe met to discuss and decide to try to go to escape to Canada. This is where that journey started. You can still find arrow heads on the shoreline every so often. I’m ruffly 15 miles north of Huntington oregon. 13 miles of which is dirt road. The property sits at the base of lookout mountain. Really good cell service here with Verizon Full bars. If you decide to come camp make sure your directions take you through Huntington. Google sometimes likes to try to get people to drive over the mountain. Or if your coming from the north it sometimes wants you to go through Richland and then on 34 miles of dirt road. Going Through Huntington onto snake river rd is the easy way to go.

Welcome to our peaceful sanctuary in the forest - drive down the 900' gravel driveway to our property surrounded by towering trees and scenic vistas. Our campsite isn’t far from town and amenities, but it feels private and peaceful, a true escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. We’re just a stone’s throw from the Historic Columbia River Highway and the Sandy River—perfect for world-class fishing or lazy river days. Within just a few minutes’ drive you can access the “Waterfall Corridor” of the Columbia River Gorge, Vista House, Portland Women’s Forum Scenic Viewpoint, Multnomah Falls and Lodge, plus some of the best hiking trails in the world. We're conveniently located about 5 miles from McMenamins Edgefield if you need a place to camp after a concert. This is a fantastic location to settle in and relax on our farm or use as a base camp for Columbia Gorge adventures. Our campite offers two large, level RV sites with electric and water hookups (no sewer—campers must be fully self-contained). Each site has a picnic table and is surrounded by tall, mature trees and bucolic views of neighboring farm fields. Our farm features blueberries, pear, apple, and plum trees and lots of flowers! Wildlife includes deer, elk, owls, coyotes, raccoons, plenty of squirrels, and, if you’re lucky even bald eagles! Our dog Elsie is a loyal farm pup who helps keep deer and small predators away. Don’t worry she’s extremely friendly with people (especially children) and plays well with other well-behaved dogs. Springtime is especially gorgeous here, with magnolias, dogwoods, rhododendrons, irises, lilies, peonies, dahlias, hydrangeas, and pollinator gardens all in bloom. In the fall, the foliage is stunning as big-leaf and Japanese maples turn golden, orange and fiery red. The trees, flowers, and views are truly spectacular and we’re sure you’ll enjoy them as much as we do. There’s also plenty of open space to toss a frisbee, enjoy a picnic lunch, or wander through the gardens and canopied forest trails.

Yachats, OR · 4 sites
Rustic tent and hammock camping on 20 private forested acres, just half a mile from the Pacific Ocean. It’s peaceful, wild, and surprisingly close to Yachats. You’ll fall asleep to ocean waves, not generators. This isn’t a tourist campground. It’s our home. We’re opening a few of our favorite spots to people who appreciate quiet, nature, and thoughtful presence. Our campsites were built for our family, not mass use. If you like forest stillness and a touch of wildness, you’ll probably love it here. If you’re looking for drive-in glamping with full facilities, this probably isn’t your spot. What to expect: • Walk-in campsites (5 minutes or less from parking) • No RVs, trailers, or car camping • No water, power, or trash service: pack everything out • Shared outhouse: use for bodily waste only! • Optional outdoor shower ($10/person) by request. It's attached to our home and rustic (some love it, others skip it - or wish they’d brought a bathing suit.) • Guided check-in required between 4–7 PM. No arrivals after 8 PM • All communication via Hipcamp messages - no text messages • One check-in per group. If arriving in two vehicles, coordinate timing or walk your party in You’ll park near our greenhouse and home, where you may see chickens, a kiddo on the play structure, or hear a tractor. Campsites are deeper in the woods and often feel totally private. A seasonal creek flows nearby. Depending on the time of year, you might spot wild mushrooms, huckleberries, and more. The beach is about a 15-minute walk, including a short stretch along Highway 101. It’s walkable but may feel exposed to some. Yachats, the 804 Trail, and Cape Perpetua are all nearby. This land once held a WWI-era spruce logging camp. We’ve lived here since 2013, slowly transforming bramble into trails, gardens, and space to grow. Our son is a cancer survivor, and our connection to this land runs deep. We’re not a commercial farm - we’re a family practicing stewardship, slow living, and welcoming guests who do the same. We love hosting quiet campers, nature lovers, foragers, backwoods hikers, and families who understand personal space and come prepared. If that’s you, you’ll feel right at home.

Moonrise Meadow is the name we’ve given the large wildlife migration meadow in front of our house on a quiet, rural gravel road that sees very little traffic. Willow Camp is your peaceful, private getaway with room for multiple RVs, including a U-shaped pull-through site that will accommodate all but the largest trailers. There are also two prime tent sites with soft ground created by layers of pine needles, as well as a shared porta-potty disguised as a vintage outhouse that includes a Dometic spigot and sink. Larger groups can be accommodated just across the street in the currently unused horse arena. Just 4 miles from Sunriver Resort, you'll find restaurants, shops, and plenty of activities only a short drive or bike ride away. Private neighborhood access to the Deschutes River is just 2 miles away, and miles of hiking trails in the Deschutes National Forest begin just down our road. Cascade Lakes Highway, with its abundance of lakes and trails, is 14 miles north and offers endless outdoor opportunities. Mt. Bachelor is just 20 minutes away, offering spring skiing through May, as well as downhill mountain biking and hiking during the summer. Mule deer frequent the meadow, and because there is a nursery just down the street, you may even see fawns. The mothers can be protective of their young, so please keep dogs under control. Elk also migrate through in the spring and fall, though they're rare during the summer. Coyotes are fairly common as well. We've spotted many native raptors, including Great Gray Owls, Great Horned Owls, Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles, Prairie Falcons, and Red-tailed Hawks. Luckily, we've only lost one chicken to a raptor so far! We also see hummingbirds, woodpeckers, and many other bird species. Black bears and cougars have been seen in the area, although we've never encountered them ourselves. That said, we don't let our dogs wander unsupervised at night. And speaking of night, the night sky over the meadow is phenomenal, with the occasional chance to catch the Northern Lights!

Step onto Scrumpy Forest Farm on the shoulders of Mount Hood and slow down and breathe deeply. Let your musings and wanderings be your timekeeper, and your curiosity lead you astray. Plug into the world of trees, bees, and farm rhythms, and unplug from all of the flurry of everyday life. We believe that experiences worth having happen slowly, not in rushing about. Stay. Observe. Listen. Interact. We have two drive-in sites for small RVs and vans, five glamping-ish sites (furnished with tents, foam mats, and chairs) and four walk-in campsites with a tent pad ready for your equipment. We close camping reservations after five sites have been booked for any given night to ensure that everyone has a crowd-free and nature-forward experience. If you are interested in booking all of our sites for a group event, please contact us via Hipcamp or our website and we can ensure you have access to the sites you need for your event. Yes, please explore our trails, have a picnic in the social hall, dip your toes in the pond, check in on the farm animals, find your zen in a forest bath. Just remember to close the gates behind you, observe local fire restrictions, pack out your trash, and leave your campsite looking tidy for the next guest. We don't have food service on site. But you're welcome to bring a dinner picnic basket (may we suggest a charcouterie and cracker board, fruit, bottles of your favorite beverage for sipping, decadent chocolates?) and a breakfast snack (how 'bout hard-boiled eggs, croissants, crisp apples, and tea?) to eat anywhere in the fields and forest.
