Rustic tent and hammock camping on 20 private forested acres, just half a mile from the Pacific Ocean. It’s peaceful, wild, and surprisingly close to Yachats. You’ll fall asleep to ocean waves, not generators. This isn’t a tourist campground. It’s our home. We’re opening a few of our favorite spots to people who appreciate quiet, nature, and thoughtful presence. Our campsites were built for our family, not mass use. If you like forest stillness and a touch of wildness, you’ll probably love it here. If you’re looking for drive-in glamping with full facilities, this probably isn’t your spot. What to expect: • Walk-in campsites (5 minutes or less from parking) • No RVs, trailers, or car camping • No water, power, or trash service: pack everything out • Shared outhouse: use for bodily waste only! • Optional outdoor shower ($10/person) by request. It's attached to our home and rustic (some love it, others skip it - or wish they’d brought a bathing suit.) • Guided check-in required between 4–7 PM. No arrivals after 8 PM • All communication via Hipcamp messages - no text messages • One check-in per group. If arriving in two vehicles, coordinate timing or walk your party in You’ll park near our greenhouse and home, where you may see chickens, a kiddo on the play structure, or hear a tractor. Campsites are deeper in the woods and often feel totally private. A seasonal creek flows nearby. Depending on the time of year, you might spot wild mushrooms, huckleberries, and more. The beach is about a 15-minute walk, including a short stretch along Highway 101. It’s walkable but may feel exposed to some. Yachats, the 804 Trail, and Cape Perpetua are all nearby. This land once held a WWI-era spruce logging camp. We’ve lived here since 2013, slowly transforming bramble into trails, gardens, and space to grow. Our son is a cancer survivor, and our connection to this land runs deep. We’re not a commercial farm - we’re a family practicing stewardship, slow living, and welcoming guests who do the same. We love hosting quiet campers, nature lovers, foragers, backwoods hikers, and families who understand personal space and come prepared. If that’s you, you’ll feel right at home.

Trip Camp Mini

(15)
Tent site · Sleeps 4
Trip Camp Mini is our smaller site that accommodates one 4 person tent! Away from the larger campsites sitting above our small seasonal creek.  Please read the rules section before booking - the key to a great experience is clear expectations! Forest camping. No car camping. Please notify us as soon as possible of your anticipated arrival time. Check-in is 4-7 pm. Late check-in. Late arrivals will void booking. Please communicate via Hipcamp inbox (phone number provided by HipCamp is not reliable communication method for calls or texts). Your visit requires a guided tour to the campsite, we are firm on the end of the check-in window unless arrangements are requested in advance. We will honor as we are able. We will provide one guided walk to campsite per booking party. If your party involves a second vehicle add-on, you will need to show them to the site. This is off-grid forest camping. No power, no lights, and you and your camp stove in the coastal forest. Please plan accordingly for your 5-minute walk to the campsites.  Pack light or have a way to transport your gear. This is a coastal rainforest, so you may want to bring a tarp for placement under your tent. The ground can be damp depending on the season. Fires are not currently allowed and it can get cool on the coast. Please bring some cool weather gear and a rain jacket! Temperatures June - August are average high of 65 F and a low of 50 F. The 5-minute walk to the campsites is easy but has some very short inclines and uneven terrain. It may also be muddy, more so earlier in camping season. Though spaced out, you may encounter other campers on trail systems and parking areas and you may hear them depending on which sites are chosen. Remember there are wild animals here! We've never had a problem except the occasional bear trying to break into a trash can. We recommend you store most foods in your car. Please plan for most activities to occur at your campsite. We do not allow car camping or cooking in the parking area. You are welcome to explore the trails and use our playground for children at your own risk. No amplified music on property (though you might hear ours in the common areas!). RULES: -CHECK-IN IS 3:30-7 PM. Late check-in may be PRE-arranged up to 8 pm. Arrival after 8 pm is not possible and voids your booking. Do not arrive after 8 pm. Please plan accordingly. -THIS SITE ACCOMMODATES ONE VEHICLE ONLY -NO RVs or TRAILERS. THERE IS NO TURN AROUND ACCESS. -THIS IS NOT A IN-CAR/VAN CAMPING SITE, PLEASE, PLAN TO CAMP AT DESIGNATED CAMP AREAS, 5 MINUTE WALK AWAY FROM PARKING AREA -NO AMPLIFIED MUSIC -COOKING AND RELATED ACTIVITIES AT YOUR CAMPSITE Your privacy and safety are important to us.
