Coastal Farm Sanctuary

2 sites · RVs, Tents1 acre · Waldport, OR
Since 2015 I have been steadily regenerating the soils and improving this once completely barren property. There is now diverse plant life on the property which in turns attracts diverse wildlife including insects, birds and reptile. Your stay here helps us to pay the bills and keep making this small patch of earth better. The property sits on a sunny bench just back from the ocean and just above the fog line. Our south facing location gets ample sunshine most days and is surrounded on 3 sides by a forest of trees. The property is fenced and access is by gate. There are two seperate campsites which are separated by our central garden and bamboo plantings. On most days the maximum number of workers on the farm is 2-4 people (your hosts). This is a low traffic area. There is very little street traffic before 9 AM and after 4 PM Mon-Sat. Sundays are quiet. Site 2 aka Freedom Camp is reserved exclusively for tent Both sites can use the portable toilet & outdoor shower. We keep it clean and odor free for a safe, sanitary camping experience. Bring your bikes, boards and other outdoor gear! Many adventures can be had here on the central coast. Your hosts are avid surfers and cyclists and can help direct you to the best spots to match your skill level. The property is close to town as well as road bike loops, gravel roads and mountain bike trails. We're close to the beach and that's how we like it. Within 15 - 45 minutes drive surfers of all levels can find something fun to ride nearly everyday of summer and fall. The 18 hole golf course is just down the street from the property and the town of Waldport is only 2 miles away. Yachats is a short 12 minute drive to the south where you can find amazing plant based food and they serve fresh roasted coffee along with a large menu of other drinks and treats at The Green Salmon Cafe. Miles of white sand beaches are located just down the hill from us where you can walk all the way from the mouth of the Alsea river to the mouth of the Yachats river. Forested and easily accessible walking trails are also nearby. South of the property is Cape Perpetua which is a natural wonderland with whales, tide pools, blowholes & includes a 26 mile trail system. Relax and enjoy the scenic 15 mile drive from the farm to get there.

Rock Crick Acres

7 sites · RVs, Tents2 acres · Grand Ronde, OR
This hidden gem is only 1/3 of a mile off the highway yet all you can hear is the flow of the water from Rock Creek which flows along the 2 acres. There is plenty of spots to toss your tent. Personally, I prefer the bank overlooking the stream. Cool your feet on a hot summer day in Rock Creek (the main attraction). Enjoy the evenings around the fire pit for an extra $10/day which includes the firewood. There are complimentary tables, BBQ, chairs. Did you know the coolest porta-party in the galaxy awaits your visit? Yep, true. Attractions: Spirit Mountain Casino is only 4 miles away, The Oregon coast is a 25 minute drive as well as plenty of vineyards. Also enjoy 100+ miles of hiking trails. The trail head is only 1 mile from camp. I'm available to answer any questions you have and look forward to your visit. We ask if the ground is wet (rain for 24+ hrs) you keep your car on the gravel driveway and not drive in the grass (causing ruts). Don't be a turd. Respect the Hideout. If you plan on partying and/or staying up late around the campfire, don't book this. I have neighbors and respect them. Go do your party booking elsewhere, please. Lastly, if you are bringing dogs, you'll most likely get a bit of barking from the dogs to the east for the 1st hour. I just want to be honest and warn you.

Trip Camp- Secluded Forest by Beach

4 sites · Tents20 acres · Yachats, OR
Rustic tent and hammock camping on 20 private forested acres, just half a mile from the Pacific Ocean. It’s peaceful, wild, and surprisingly close to Yachats. You’ll fall asleep to ocean waves, not generators. This isn’t a tourist campground. It’s our home. We’re opening a few of our favorite spots to people who appreciate quiet, nature, and thoughtful presence. Our campsites were built for our family, not mass use. If you like forest stillness and a touch of wildness, you’ll probably love it here. If you’re looking for drive-in glamping with full facilities, this probably isn’t your spot. What to expect: • Walk-in campsites (5 minutes or less from parking) • No RVs, trailers, or car camping • No water, power, or trash service: pack everything out • Shared outhouse: use for bodily waste only! • Optional outdoor shower ($10/person) by request. It's attached to our home and rustic (some love it, others skip it - or wish they’d brought a bathing suit.) • Guided check-in required between 4–7 PM. No arrivals after 8 PM • All communication via Hipcamp messages - no text messages • One check-in per group. If arriving in two vehicles, coordinate timing or walk your party in You’ll park near our greenhouse and home, where you may see chickens, a kiddo on the play structure, or hear a tractor. Campsites are deeper in the woods and often feel totally private. A seasonal creek flows nearby. Depending on the time of year, you might spot wild mushrooms, huckleberries, and more. The beach is about a 15-minute walk, including a short stretch along Highway 101. It’s walkable but may feel exposed to some. Yachats, the 804 Trail, and Cape Perpetua are all nearby. This land once held a WWI-era spruce logging camp. We’ve lived here since 2013, slowly transforming bramble into trails, gardens, and space to grow. Our son is a cancer survivor, and our connection to this land runs deep. We’re not a commercial farm - we’re a family practicing stewardship, slow living, and welcoming guests who do the same. We love hosting quiet campers, nature lovers, foragers, backwoods hikers, and families who understand personal space and come prepared. If that’s you, you’ll feel right at home.

Fernwood Retreat At Bloom Hill

3 sites · Tents6 acres · Monroe, OR
Welcome to Fernwood Retreat at Bloom Hill! Tucked away in the rolling hills of the coastal mountains, we call it Fernwood because of the beautiful ferns and forest area throughout our 6-acre farmstead. We currently offer three sites that are private and secluded. We are off the beaten path with no road traffic or light pollution which makes the night sky and stars so vibrant it looks like you could reach out your hand and touch them. Wake up in the morning, make some coffee, and stroll the walking paths along the property. You can sit creekside & soak in the sounds of the birds chirping, the squirrels chattering or the water flowing. Camping in Beverly Beach State Park guide

Overview

About

A short drive north of Newport on Oregon's Central Coast, Beverly Beach State Park has long been a popular spot for family camping trips and is well equipped to host groups big and small. Beverly Beach Campground is one of the largest in the state, with just short of 300 campsites and yurts along with a playground, a meeting hall, reservable picnic areas, hot showers, and an RV dump station. While Beverly Beach is a destination itself, it also makes a good base for visiting nearby attractions such as the Yaquina Head Lighthouse and the Oregon Coast Aquarium.

Tips for snagging a campsite

  1. Campsites and yurts are released for reservation six months in advance, at 6am each day, and can be booked using the Oregon State Parks online reservation system or over the phone. Reservations can be made up to a day in advance.
  2. Same-day reservations are only available in person and on a first-come, first-served basis. Arrive early for the best chances of nabbing a spot. A hiker/biker camp also serves cyclists and backpackers with walk-in sites.
  3. If you have a specific yurt or campsite in mind, you can create an online alert to be notified in case of cancellations.

When to go

Beverly Beach is open for day use and camping throughout the year, and it’s particularly busy in July and August—on weekends and weekdays alike—when Oregon kids are on summer vacation. September continues to be a busy time, particularly on weekends, but weekdays after Labor Day tend to see a reduction of crowds. If you’re interested in watching gray whales as they make their way north and south past the coast, visit in mid-December through mid-January or from late March until May.

Know before you go

  • The closest place to get gas, groceries, and other supplies is the city of Newport, a 10-minute drive from the campground.
  • Many of the campsites at Beverly Beach either close down or switch to a first-come, first-served system from November until Memorial Day Weekend.
  • Of the 21 yurts here, 10 are pet-friendly. Leashed pets are also welcome at campsites.
  • The park has six ADA-accessible yurts, along with three accessible campsites. The meeting hall, playground, and some showers and toilets also accommodate wheelchair users.
