Such a great spot!
Was very easy access and set up.
So peaceful and clean.
We have a solar set up… and you don’t get enough sun to recharge the battery.. but our system had enough for the week so it was a non-issue.
We will definitely be coming back!
Kids say… path and creek are super fun to explore!

We thoroughly enjoyed stay. The location was perfect with plenty of beaches nearby so we could look for rocks 👀👀!! The space was private enough for our needs. No service of any kind, it was nice to disconnect. We will be back.

This site is near Hwy 1 but was really quiet, close to great beaches, easy to access and Allen was really helpful when we needed him.

Nice camping spot close to the beach and lots of things to do. Close to Hwy 101, but as many other reviews point out, the waves and the flowing creek drive out most road noise. Really enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to book, again. To note: The campsite is completely shaded and even with the sunny weekend, the campsite did not have any sun - something to keep in mind if you have solar. Again, everything is close so charging at the area beach was easy.

Easy to get to. Plenty long and level space for our van. Lots of good hiking in the area. Great breakfast at the Drift Inn. Liked that we could hear the brook outside our van.

This place was a tucked away gem. The site is easily accessed, has plenty of room for vehicle and trailer and is quite gorgeous being surrounded by woods. Was wonderful to hear the surf and access to beach was close. Only drawback was road noise since it’s close to 101 but benefits outweighed that minor intrusion since the surf sounds often drowned out cars. Would highly recommend this for a one or two night stay since you have to bring your own water in.

Lovely magical spot. Easy to find. Allen gave us great instructions. A private spot nestled in a wooded fern ravine. Much bigger area than we had expected. After dinner we walked up the gravel road where you can get some nice views of the ocean. Would definitely recommend. One thing to note is that there were at least 5 cars that drove by on the gravel road we were camping right off of In the weee hours of the morning which was a little startling and we are early risers. Otherwise a great experience.

The site itself was lovely, shady, flat, private. HOWEVER it would have been really really helpful and, for future reference, essential to have it listed clearly and repeatedly on the campsite listing that, if you should pass the site, there is NO TURN AROUND for at least the several miles we drove up the road. We had to jackknife our trailer, unhitch, turn around and rehiitch. The whole sketchy ordeal took an hour and a half and could have been completely avoided with clear directions and signage at the campsite.

We really enjoyed our stay at Whispering Tides. The campsite was just as described, super easy to find, surrounded by beautiful trees and close to everything we wanted to do at the coast. We did not see our host but our messages were all promptly answered.
We had some initial concerns about the site being just a few hundred yards off Hwy 101 but we needn’t have concerned ourselves. Because the turnoff is at a sharp curve in a curvy part of the highway, ALL cars are going slowly as they pass. We could hear them during the day but it was not at all bothersome, and not even noticeable at night.
We use a solar panel to augment our dual 12v lithium batteries for our 19-foot trailer, and at this time of year (July) the sun does not hit the campsite for very long, so we did not get much solar gain over the three days we were there. Having a robust battery setup ensured that was not a problem.
We will definitely stay here again, for the peacefulness, beautiful tree setting and easy access to so many great beaches. It is wonderful to have a bolthole at the coast that is not a cheek-by-jowel campground.

Great tucked away place, right off of 101, which was perfect for us. We love the coast in that area, and it was awesome not to have to go far to get back to camp. Any car sound blended with the ocean sounds and wind.
