From the moment we arrived, the hush of the forest wrapped around us like a secret. The towering Sitka spruce and moss-draped limbs seemed to lean in, guarding the quiet. There were no crowds, no generators, no highway noise—just the soft call of distant seabirds and the occasional rustle of wildlife in the underbrush.
At dusk, the fog rolled in like a silver veil, and the whole campsite took on an otherworldly glow. It felt timeless, as if the trees and the cliffs had been watching travelers come and go for centuries. There’s a kind of magic here that’s hard to explain—it whispers rather than shouts.

Nice spot on the coast! It was really a perfect location, nice wind break, but close to the beach. As others have said, it's not far off 101, but felt private. Grateful for the picnic table and fire pit, those were nice amenities! Enjoyed taking walks up the forest road, which had almost zero traffic on it. Overall, really great!

My husband and I loved the spot. It was directly across from Ocean beach and we went there many times in two days. You are off grid, no starlink, but we used the beach access to download a few movies with Starlink. The hwy, is close but we didn’t hear it. It felt very private which was nice for two days.

Nice spot. Very lush view. Pretty level, too.
Site 1 is a touch close to Rt. 101, but not too noisy.
The lack of cell service at this site is to be noted. You need to drive 10 minutes north or south on 101 to gain service.
The host was loose and I had no idea he lived up the hill.
You should ask him for his wi-fi for emergencies, as he doesn't seem to offer it outright.

Amazing spot! Highly recommend. Allen’s directions made it extremely easy to find the site. Super close to the beach. The site has clearly been cared for and is in great condition. Overall great experience and would come back again.

Compared to the sites offered near one of the closest campground at Cape Perpetua this site was way more spacious and definitely more private even though it isn't very far off 101. There is some traffic noise but it was minimal and sound of nearby creek and ocean drowns most of it out. Was a great location near some of our favorite beaches for finding agates. It is quite shaded by surrounding trees and we went early spring when weather was still cold and wet, so we ended up picking up a propane tent heater for our screen shelter, would love to return when the weather is a little warmer at night.

It's a nice camp spot. Rainy so be careful choosing your location to setup. Starlink doesn't work. Creek running beside the site is very nice. 15 minutes from Florence, 5 minutes from Sea Lion Caves. 10 minutes from Heceta Head Lighthouse. It's worth the visit.

This site is easy to find, yet a pleasantly secluded spot. Its a perfect location if you're eating or playing at Yachats. The drive from there was under 10 min. The parking spot is clean and level with a beautiful picnic table that looks over a fern covered creek. Thank you for sharing it!

This was a great spot and we had a peaceful evening at Allen's site. We could hear the waves crashing just below HWY 101 as well as the light trickle of a nearby stream. I wish there had been a safe way to walk down to the beach because once we'd set up camp we didn't want to pack everything up and drive down to one of the parking lots. I didn't realize how curvy that section of 101 would be and it just wasn't safe for us to walk along the shoulder. But the campsite itself was perfect - easy to back our van into and super convenient to Florence and Yachats and with Heceta Head just a few minutes away! Would definitely recommend!

Our travel trailer fit nicely in the spot which, though close to the road, felt very secluded. Was a peaceful setting despite road noise during the day. The ocean sounds lent a restful ambiance, and the lightly traveled treelined road was great for walking the dogs. Beautiful sunset views from just a short walk up the road.

This was the maiden voyage for us and my older lil camper named Wanda! The spot was chosen because while private and away, we wanted to be close to bigger cities to resolve any unknown issues with her - and there were some.
Our time was short, but so very peaceful. What an amazing spot!! Covered in all kinds of beautiful plants, ferns and of course the creek.
We will be back again, now that we have gotten to know Miss Wanda better.

Super close to the ocean. Off a Forrest service road and completely private. Sounds of ocean waves in the evening were amazing. Beaches vary between rocky and sandy in the area. Great hiking opportunities.

GREEAAATTTTT spot to camp! It’s so hard to find anywhere to camp on the Oregon coast, and this spot TOTALLY filled the bill. 10 minutes to Yachats and 10 minutes from Florence. Beaches were empty and BEAUTIFUL. We will DEFINITELY be coming back and camping there again! 5 stars!!!!

Had the perfect weekend while at this site. Was close to 101, but still very quiet. Ocean Beach picnic area was right across the road and we were able to very long walks. The site was level for our camper and even though it rained, the camp site had great drainage and didn’t get sloppy. (Very important for the coast).

We decided to book a trip to oregon and this was an amazing spot! super close drive and or walking distance to the beach! Road noise wasn’t too bad at night and has an amazing clearing for star gazing! Host was amazing and allowed us to pitch 2 tents when not being able to bring our RV, the space was plenty big!

Nice private spot when exploring the Oregon coast. We stayed two nights in August and it was an easy drive to Cape Perpetua to the North and the National Dune Forest to the South where you can rent ATVs and dune buggy’s to drive on the dunes. Many beaches within driving distance.

We arrived pretty late. But it was pretty easy to find. Tye site was just what we needed. It was flat, had a picnic table. It was super close to the water, I was able to walk down and get a beautiful sunset.

Quiet and peaceful site in the woods, close to the beach. Another site nearby but it was very quiet. Clean and well-kept and clear directions. Would definitely stay again!

This small camp is amazingly close to several really awesome tourist spots along this section of Oregon coast, and the local campgrounds are often full. The site itself is well maintained, the picnic table is new, and the firepit even has a cover to avoid soggy ashes. There are some mosquitos (because of the cute little gully with small creek), and the road is surprisingly close so you may get some road noise, but it's directly off the 101 so you can roll in at the end of your day and not burn any time driving inland. Would stay again as a quick stop on the way, though it may not be private or quiet enough to inspire a multiday stay where you hang out JUST at the camp.

Beautiful little camping spot. Hidden from the main Hwy. Can hear the cars, but it’s not overwhelmingly noisy. Nice shaded creek that runs below the camp site, can hear the ocean in the distance. Would definitely come back in the future!

We had a peaceful couple of days at the Whispering Tides campsite. It's private, clean and very quiet. I loved being tucked away in the forest. There is a short walk down to the beach. I would definitely return and stay longer.
