Green Crest is an active Memorial Park (cemetery) adjacent to Highway 18 between Portland and the Oregon coast on the South side of Sheridan. This property makes a great stop over while en route to your final destination, but is also a great getaway if you'd just like to relax in a natural setting while having conveniences near by. If you have young ones, the park next door has a playground and a stocked fish pond. We also have a pond on sight that is perfect for viewing birds, beaver and having morning coffee. You're also welcome to bring your kayak and or paddle boards to get out on the water for fishing or just floating the pond. There is the occasional Deer, coyote and raccoons all around on the property. Two minutes from your site, you will find 24 hour gas and diesel; Subway, Riverside Cafe, Bennie Huies Chinese and the local Grocery store. Did I say there is a Dairy Queen 5 minutes way? Nearby Ballston Road offers a great rural road system from which to explore by bicycle. Points of interest both out in the wild and more metro are all within an hour drive. We can direct you to some little known sites that offer a great day trip.

Unique hipcamp
Before arriving at night we grabbed delicious pizza to go at Honey Pie 20 minutes away in McMinnville. We parked our campervan on a pretty level cement pad, didn't get to use the fire pit. Thankfully we had window covers otherwise the bright light would have annoyed us. There is road noise in the distance. The morning was lovely to wake up to a frosty covered cemetery and large fishing pond. There appears to be a retention center across from parking pad, but we had no issues. Verizon signal was strong.

Quiet and Beautiful
This Hipcamp is quite different from the others we have stayed at. It is a working cemetery! We loved it! So quiet and beautiful. We were parked on a level cement pad that offers both electric and water hookups. We chose to pull-in our 40' motorhome for a beautiful view in front and the cemetery to our back. There is a very nice patio with a fire pit and provided wood. Joel met us when we arrived and gave us a list of nearby food and places of interest. There are 2 ponds to fish from and if you cook and eat it there you can keep it, otherwise catch and release. We really enjoyed strolling through the grave stones and reading what was written on them. We only spent 2 nights here but wish we could have stayed longer. If we are ever through this area again we will definitely be staying here.

Joel was great! Nice place to stop if you’re wine tasting or doing something in the area! RV site was level and easy to get to, 50 amp plugin so bring your adapter if you only need a 30 amp service!

Good site on short notice!
My brother and I tent camped at Joel’s site for a couple days and we had a great time! He was very hospitable and made sure we had everything we might need. There’s very little shade but being right next to the pond it was nice to hop it and cool off. Good fishing, calm water for kayaking and a good wind most of the time we were there. Had a lot of wasps around when the wind died but it didn’t seem like a regular issue. Overall we had a great time and Joel seems like a super nice guy, definitely hope to come back!
