Mystic Forest is a small, family-run campground between Klamath, CA, and Crescent City. We have 50 acres of beautiful forest sprinkled with redwood trees. We have restrooms, showers, a game room, a mini golf course, horseshoes, and a half-mile trail. We are pet-friendly. At the office you can find some grocery and redwoods souvenirs. Our laundry facility will be closed indefinitely for repairs starting on August 10th.

Tucked away at the edge of the Klamath Glen neighborhood, our family-owned campground has been welcoming guests for over 40 years. Surrounded by towering trees in the heart of Redwood National Forest and just a few minutes from the Pacific Ocean, this is a true hidden gem on California’s North Coast.
We offer a rustic, old-fashioned camping experience. It’s a mix of open field and scattered trees, with both RVs and tent campers on site. Neighbors will be nearby, but the vibe is quiet and relaxed—especially in the off-season, when you might have the place nearly to yourself.
The Klamath River is just over the levee—a short walk from your site—with great access for fishing, swimming, or simply relaxing by the water. The river is world-famous for salmon and steelhead fishing (license required). August and September are peak fishing months, so expect a few early morning engines from folks heading out.
We’re only 4 miles off Highway 101, far enough to enjoy peace and quiet without traffic noise. Wildlife is part of the experience here, so please stash your food at night to keep critters out of camp.
Outdoor lovers will find plenty to explore nearby—hiking and biking trails, the Trees of Mystery, Jet Boat Tours, and, of course, miles of redwood forest to get lost in.
A few things to note:
We are curruntly doing renovations at the far side of the park . it is done on the weekends , except on Holidays ,from 9am til 5pm ,because that is the only time my son gets off work from his job, sorry for any inconvenience.
We are hoping to be done before August 2026.

Cell service can be spotty, depending on your carrier. Free Wi-Fi is available and reaches most of the campground.
Electric car charging is $10 per charge. Please arrange ahead of time—50 amp service is limited, and you’ll need your own adapters.

The Fairy Forest is 4 acres of redwood trees one mile from the magical city of Trinidad, CA. People have been camping in our meadow since the 1950's, and I'm happy to carry on the tradition, by opening it up to you. There was a fire on the property in 1901 which left the burnt out hollow stumps which you'll see by the shower. There's one old growth redwood on the property, behind the glampy tent, but everything else in roughly 120 years old. Every year we try to make your glamping experience better and better. This year, we've added an artisan picnic table, built on site, and some solar lights leading to the shower. Outdoor sink and cook space is next on our list! There used to be two campsites on our property, but we closed down one of them to give guests in the glampy tent exclusive usage of the outdoor shower and porta potty. We are also renting out our cabin this year, which has been our home for the last 3 years.
There's 10 local beaches to explore in the area, great little restaurants and businesses, and countless trails- including Strawberry Rock, which is right down the street from us. We're 19 miles away from Orick, which is the gateway to Fern Canyon (make a reservation in advance) and all the trails with old growth redwoods. And we're 16 miles from Arcata, a vibrant, colorful and creative city that is home to the first farmer's market in California, which is quite the experience if you find yourself here on a Saturday.

We call this rustic homestead "Bueno Mana" - as in, "The Good Source/Good Life". A place to come and re-acquaint yourself with what that truly means.
Situated an easy 4 miles from the nearby charming seaside town of Trinidad, and 1.5 miles away from popular Moonstone Beach, this space offers privacy, access to Nature, and a wee respite from the busy outside world. While you're here, enjoy a walk through the private loop trail or jaunt down to the beach, less than 2 miles away. Enjoy a bespoke picnic underneath the apple trees, or lay a round of disc golf on our 18-hole course onsite.
At night, roast some s'mores or sip some local wine or beer by the outdoor firepit. Or take a dip in the shared hot tub with with some world class stargazing time. Easy access to world-famous hikes through the redwoods, and several miles of pristine coastal access.
Guests will stay in the renovated barn, with two queen beds, a cozy outdoor sunroom, and lots of books and records on hand to enhance your stay. The Fairy Forest is 4 acres of redwood trees one mile from the magical city of Trinidad, CA. People have been camping in our meadow since the 1950's, and I'm happy to carry on the tradition, by opening it up to you. There was a fire on the property in 1901 which left the burnt out hollow stumps which you'll see by the shower. There's one old growth redwood on the property, behind the glampy tent, but everything else in roughly 120 years old. Every year we try to make your glamping experience better and better. This year, we've added an artisan picnic table, built on site, and some solar lights leading to the shower. Outdoor sink and cook space is next on our list! There used to be two campsites on our property, but we closed down one of them to give guests in the glampy tent exclusive usage of the outdoor shower and porta potty. We are also renting out our cabin this year, which has been our home for the last 3 years.
There's 10 local beaches to explore in the area, great little restaurants and businesses, and countless trails- including Strawberry Rock, which is right down the street from us. We're 19 miles away from Orick, which is the gateway to Fern Canyon (make a reservation in advance) and all the trails with old growth redwoods. And we're 16 miles from Arcata, a vibrant, colorful and creative city that is home to the first farmer's market in California, which is quite the experience if you find yourself here on a Saturday.

We looked for over a year for the perfect place, and first came across this property - one drafty farmhouse, a dilapidated outbuilding an an ancient barn - and immediately knew this was where we were meant to be. We call this rustic homestead "Bueno Mana" - as in, "The Good Source/Good Life". A place to come and re-acquaint yourself with what that truly means.
Situated an easy 4 miles from the nearby charming seaside town of Trinidad, and 1.5 miles away from popular Moonstone Beach, this space offers privacy, access to Nature, and a wee respite from the busy outside world. While you're here, enjoy a walk through the private loop trail or jaunt down to the beach, less than 2 miles away. Enjoy a bespoke picnic underneath the apple trees, or lay a round of disc golf on our 18-hole course onsite.
At night, roast some s'mores or sip some local wine or beer by the outdoor firepit. Or take a dip in the shared hot tub with with some world class stargazing time. Easy access to world-famous hikes through the redwoods, and several miles of pristine coastal access.
Guests will stay in the renovated barn, with two queen beds, a cozy outdoor sunroom, and lots of books and records on hand to enhance your stay. Inside is everything you will need for a thoroughly pampered "camping" experience: full-size fridge, electric range, microwave, coffee maker, tv and turntable, and wi-fi, plus a wood-burning stove to keep you warm while you're here.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bigfoot Flat on Willow Creek. Shannon was super friendly and helpful in her messages. They provided potable water and a number of very clean porta potties for campers. There are a few sites but they are not close together. We mostly had the place to ourselves, one other person arrived while we were camping but they went to the other end of the area and we could not see or hear them from our site. There is some road noise but the lovely creek does a good job of drowning out most of it.
There is a good amount of mowed area to walk around and the creek to wade in as well as pretty views of the surrounding mountains. I would highly recommend this hip camp!

This campground is easy to get to, right off of Route 101, technically in Bayside, but right outside of Eureka proper. It is very clean, has really clean laundry facilities, hook-ups work great. There are fantastic lawn games including mini golf and pool/hot tub (seasonally).

this was the perfect spot. great location about 40 mins from arcata, the perfect half point for exploring the giants. site 3 for tent camping was perfect, the fire pit also had a grate that was perfect for cooking. clean restrooms, an abundance of firewood and drinking water were all great. beautiful location that’s down below the highway, private and with a nice creek running through. highly recommend and will be staying here next time i’m in the area! thanks for an awesome camp

Weekend Trip to Redwood Retreat
We loved the treehouse dome!! We spent two nights there. The ground was covered with clover and the cathedral trees were majestic protectors. Even though there were properties close by, we felt we had a lot of privacy. The roosters were loud in the morning, but we loved them! Bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Also recommend bringing flashlights, lamps and phone chargers.
Absolutely recommend if you want to disconnect a bit while still having quick access to Crescent City.

Shannon was more than helpful and gave us detailed directions that were easy to follow. The site was clean and comfortable an 20 feet away from Willow Creek. We used the space as a basecamp to explore the coast up to the Redwoods and it worked perfectly.

Weekend Trip to Bueno Mana Homestead
What else can I say except "absolute perfection!" The Barn was everything and more. So comfy and warm. It had all the amenities we needed and the fireplace was so lovely. My husband absolutely LOVED the outdoor shower - even though the inside one was just fine. A morning hot tub was just what we needed before getting back on the road. The view was stellar! The trees are magnificent. Amy and Ed are such amazing hosts. So kind and down to earth. We wanted a place that was just off the beaten path and The Barn was the perfect solution. We walked the property which has Redwood trees all over. We played the disc golf course - which we highly recommend. If you are looking for a peaceful, cozy, serene, beautiful, clean place to call home for a day or more, STAY HERE! Thanks Ed and Amy. What a beautiful place you have.

1 night at Bueno Mana Homestead
We just loved this incredibly cozy spot! The barn feels so homey with its piano and record collection, while the bedding was so comfortable we slept like a couple of babes at Grandma's house. The sun room had a lovely stained glass window, but the real star of the space was the tile mosaic art around the fireplace--really special. We strolled the loop trail around the property, which offers a lush, redwood experience--a unique change for us SoCal guests. I wish I was able to throw a Frisbee better, as there was a disc golf course with some pretty unique holes. (A Japanese Torii gate in Trinidad? What a charming surprise!) We went down to Moonstone Beach to catch the sunset, which was only about a five-minute drive away. Then a jacuzzi dunk to top the evening off. Didn't turn the TV on once. All in all a memorable stay on a stunning piece of property. Thanks, Amy, for your charming hospitality. We'll definitely be back.

While we reserved the Puma, there was an issue identified with this accommodation and the owners provided a new equivalent model (the Bullet) for our stay. The owners called us ahead of our arrival to let us know, and maintained good communication with us throughout our stay. This trailer was brand new, clean, and met our expectations as an alternative to the one originally booked.
A couple of issues were encountered during our stay: 1. The gray water tank for the kitchen sink was not set to drain. This was addressed immediately by maintenance after a quick phone call. 2. After a planned power outage by the local utility company (which the owners informed us about ahead of time), the WiFi was no longer working. This was also immediately addressed by maintenance after texting the owners. Overall, I was really impressed with the responsiveness of Patrick and Carolyn.
The only suggestions I have is that the trailer be stocked with paper towels (none provided, and only two dish towels) and extra trash bags (only one trash bag provided).
