Moonstone Hideaway

While this listing does show you the platform, the hammock, and a tub in the woods which are present, what it fails to accurately show you is *where* that platform is. All of the listings on this property sit at the edges of a wasteland of a 3 acre deforested plot. Micah rambled about returning to a native soil, and wanting to build, but after 6 years this is just a giant, sadly gutted parcel of what once was a beautiful forest. Perhaps they have dreams of building something of service to the community, but they fail to accurately represent what they have here, and what you are paying to participate in. Their neighbors have all built well within the land, and they should take note of how to meaningfully restore and give back to the land they are stewarding, rather than demolish and clearcut acreage of forest for a failed construction project.

The host couldn’t have been more welcoming or responsive! He was great. I can’t say that I was surprised about anything. The fact that it’s a vintage airstream is fun. It’s funky enough, though, that I would not stay there again. He has clearly made an effort to make it homey with special touches. I just would have preferred it minus the grime and smell.

Car Camping #1

Stayed just for a night but would've loved to explore longer. It's a beautiful property near the beach but tucked away in the big trees. Micah was so friendly & I'm excited to see what he does with the place

Cute Gypsy Boho Vibe

School Bus in the Redwoods

Peaceful quiet location, yet near to fantastic beaches, and towns for shopping, farmer’s markets, and events. The land is a work in progress, in the early stage. The view in front of the trailer and around the property is forest. The trailer is a smallish vintage Airstream, with a cute Gypsy Boho vibe inside. Old surfaces def not on the clean side, if you need that. Lots of storage as trailers are good at optimizing space. The power is battery and solar, with propane for heat and stovetop cooking. On demand hot water. I was able to create a comfortable atmosphere for myself while there. And the host Micah is awesome, and very responsive if you need anything.

Magical Moonstone Hideaway

Micah's Moonstone Hideaway is absolutely amazing! There's such a magical drive in the land is just beautiful. I stayed at the tent site with a platform and it was just incredible. Very private and peaceful. I didn't get to use the tub but I sure did want to. Micah was really great to show me around and tell me about the place. Definitely sounds like he's got some really cool things in the works too! I highly recommend this place and I'm definitely planning on going back!

Artisan Hot Spring Perch in Redwood

We loved our stay at Micah’s Moonstone retreat. We arrived early evening and Micah welcomed us graciously and shared pertinent info and more. The home milled redwood deck is cozy and like a floating platform amidst redwood serenity. There is a creek trickling in the deep of the woods and you can hear the ocean rumbling. The jewel of this place is the private outdoor soaking tub with really hot water, we spent most of our time in it. Comforted by Micah and his son playing soccer and basketball in the evening, and protected by Teddy, the sweetest surf dog I’ve ever met. We were wishing we could stay another night and will definitely be back.

Micah is an exceptional host, providing excellent resources and insights into the Trinidad community. His property is beautiful, peaceful,, and well on its way to becoming an ideal, versatile homestead. The space is ample allowing for privacy, is surrounded by always amazing redwood trees, and is a short five minute drive to stunning ocean beaches and views. The property itself is situated close to an abundance of outdoor adventures, as well as, to the cities of Arcata and Eureka. Highly recommend ✨

I’ve been in love with charming Trinidad for many years, and now I’ve found the perfect place to land, exhale, and reboot my spirit. There is something truly magical about this property. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and filled with such good energy. Sitting beneath the redwoods, soaking beside the creek, listening to the water and surrounded by those magnificent trees was an experience I didn’t realize I needed until I was there. It felt like a little invitation from the forest to slow down and simply be. Micah, thank you for your vision and for creating such a tranquil and soulful space. You’ve created something really special here. Stella and I will definitely be back—hopefully sooner rather than later. I’m already looking forward to seeing how this beautiful property continues to evolve.

This was an incredible experience! Micah’s property is in a beautiful area, surrounded by redwoods. He was also very accommodating and helpful when we needed it. The tub under the trees was so magical at night. Will definitely be returning in the future :)

Miciah was awesome host and so was his friendly, lovely dog Teddy who kept us company for one night. He also let us try the bathtub, which was magical. We stayed at his campspot for 2 nights, surrounded by big trees and peaceful, quiet nights. The camping sites and land is a work in progress, and we trust in his vision and ideas to turn it into even more magical place.

Peaceful, grounding, and cozy! <3

This was a gorgeous, cute, cozy and comfortable space! I had never stepped foot in an RV before (and am pretty new to camping as a whole) so I wasn't sure what to expect, and I was impressed by just about every aspect of the experience. I unexpectedly lost cell phone service (T Mobile) for a huge radius around the site – obviously not Micah's fault, it just made communication a bit tricky and we ended up missing Micah this time around. But, Micah was VERY kind, welcoming, communicative, and supportive even remotely while having to adapt to this challenge. I certainly hope we'll get to return, and to meet then! So be prepared for spotty service even if your carrier advertises otherwise – and for an amazing host and downright lovely time. I run very hot and my partner gets cold easily, and we were both comfortable the whole time. Lovely and grounding vibe, it even smelled super nice when we arrived which was so nice. (Scent-sensitive guests may wish to make their needs known in advance!) The bathroom was very clean and functional even by the standards of this total camping newbie. Everything felt nice, comfortable, and thoughtful. We never could figure out the lights or wifi, but it was nbd, and I have no doubt that if we'd met Micah at check-in, he would've taught us graciously and effectively :) P.S. Teddy, the roaming pup, was an absolute joy and a highlight of our stay! Such a smart and polite boy. He totally won the heart of my partner who is not generally a dog person!

Moonstone Hideaway was a great camp spot! Micah was such a kind host and told us about great surf spots. The camp was just up the hill from Moonstone beach. We had a lovely view from dandelion camp, and really enjoyed our stay! We hope to visit again soon to see how the property develops!

Awesome spot with gracious host

A fantastic spot and super gracious, kind host with great welcoming energy! The property is clearly loved and is being transformed into a really cool collection of sites. The deck was perfect sized for a three person tent, and the tub with hot water was an unexpected treat. Micah was super gracious, and Teddy the guard dog welcomed us as we pulled into the site. It was a perfect crash pad to explore Redwood national park and Jedidiah. Definitely listen to the directions Micah sends over, the road is a bit farther back than the GPS says! Definitely recommend this awesome spot.

This place is very sweet. The tub is wonderful! we set our tent up on the ground to have space to cook and hang on the deck but there is space if you have a smaller tent. Very convenient for beach access by car and our dogs were ecstatic to have off leash space- just note there are definitely other dogs and it is end of the road but not fully fenced. I alway camp with dog leads so it worked great for us! No table so bring one

Perfect base camp to explore the redwoods and surrounding area. The deck was nice and the bathtub was super cool, the water is even hot so it’s actually useable to unwind after a big hike! Micah was a generous host. There is some terraforming happening, work in progress but the spot was private and everything we needed. Would stay here again.

It was a peaceful spot out there. At night when it's quiet you can hear the creek and sometimes the sound of the waves. Micah was a very nice host and very generous to let us stay even longer. We really enjoyed our stay and we will be back.

Little oasis

We have been enjoying staying on Michah's land very much. It's private so you don't hear too much from the other campers which we enjoy. We love that there is a tub to soak in and enjoy the Redwoods around you. He has a very sweet pup Teddy who likes to check in on you guys! Such friendly service! ☺️ And speaking of that Micah has been a very gracious host and has been super kind and helped us with whatever we may needed. Over all 10/10 and I would highly recommend this place. There's so much around too, the beach is just down the way in walking distance.
