Wendy &amp; John Farm

Wendy’s farm was a great place to spend the night. Wendy stayed up late to greet us and give directions to our spot. The night was peaceful and quiet. The ocean roaring in the morning was very special. Thank you for having us stay on your land!

As advertised, bathroom, shower and the camping sites are spread out. We never heard anyone or a thing. It is extremely quiet there! John and Wendy are great hosts and tended to whatever needs we had. Thank you John and Wendy?

Another awesome stay at Wendy and John’s! Very clean, private and tranquil. Loved seeing deer jump the fence across the driveway as we were leaving this morning. The site was perfect and far enough from other sites that we felt like we were by ourselves, which is exactly what we wanted. Wendy and John are amazing hosts. Maybe next time we’ll stay more than one night so that we can actually try the shower. It looks pretty nice and is set up very well. It’s great to have more than one toilet available in the event one is in use and you really have to go. 😌 next time I will have to add on some extras to our booking. It’s great that there’s a table and chairs set up at each site along with a fire pit. Couldn’t ask for a better stay.

This is our 5th year coming to John and Wendy’s camp and as always it did not disappoint. The property is magical, they are such gracious hosts, and the bread, soup, and cobbler are delicious. Can’t wait to go back.

Wendy and John have a extraordinary piece of land here and we are so fortunate that they share it with us. Wonderful camp sites, with a table, fire ring/wood/starter and a tent if you'd like. Birds everywhere, surf crashing in the background and the feeling that nature is embracing you.

When we first arrived John handed us a printout of wifi, rules, etc. It was very helpful since cell phone reception was limited. The campsite was quiet, well maintained and they had firewood waiting for us! Very clean bathroom. My dog LOVED running around and exploring :) The only thing is the driveway is narrow so just be aware of that if you have a camper. Overall wonderful place to stay.

This was an amazing find. This property is so nice and clean, it's secluded without feeling scary. They had fire wood and a table with chairs all set up and ready for us. The restroom and warm shower were much needed after long excursion days. On our last night the sky's cleared and the stars were STUNNING. The hosts were lovely and gave us the space to enjoy our time. I would definitely go back.

Wendy & John are amazing! They have a very Magical property to say the least. My girlfriend and I had a very calming stay. Wendy & John are amazing people. Great campsites available. A steam runs along a couple of the campsites, very relaxing to fall asleep too. Another huge bonus is they have hot showers and the beach is right down the road! I would recommend everyone to come here:)

Had a really great stay at the farm. Sites were nicely set a part. Room for my pup to run around. And access to a hot shower and the beach nearby on a cold drizzly day was lovely. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to get away car camping and not be in a crowded place.

Wendy and John have a great farm and are the most friendly hosts we’ve met. We had a great time in our two nights stay. The sites are well separated which provide privacy but yet close enough to the facilities. The flowing creek provides great ambiance to an otherwise quiet stay.

John & Wendy’s Perfect Hipcamp

We loved everything about this place! John and Wendy are adorable SUPER hosts! There was firewood, firestarter, and a lighter waiting for us when we got there; a table and four chairs already set up; and it was perfect for the two of us and what little we brought with us. The bathrooms were super clean and well appointed. The location couldn’t have been better with only four campsites situated around the edge of the meadow at the tree line. We felt like we were completely by ourselves. We met a really nice couple who also happened to be camping across from us the same night and because we were so spaced apart, we still felt like we were there by ourselves. The property is lush, green and gorgeous, and the drive to get there was full of farms with adorable cows, sheep, goats, and chickens. We will be going back for sure. We used the site at the far back of the meadow using our own tent and had no problem riding our adventure motorcycles out across the meadow to get there. Got lucky and found wood to keep our kickstands from sinking - the ground was nice and soft. 😊 We fell asleep to the rumble of the ocean crashing in the far distance and woke to the sound of screech owls cooing back-and-forth to each other. 🥰 This was exactly how we like to camp - quiet, tranquil, no loud neighbors or music or partying. Yay! Bonus to meet and love on the resident pup Louie - super friendly and adorable. 🥰

Loved the night we spent at Wendy and John's farm! Although we arrived late, both Wendy and John were available for our needs. The camp site was perfect with a tent, firepit, bathroom and warm shower! We had the place to ourselves so the location on the property was also perfect.

Fantastic place to stay. Tucked away in the coastal countryside and plenty of space between camp neighbors. Wendy and John are awesome and very accommodating. Bathrooms were also nice and clean with hot water! We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I absolutely loved this experience. Wendy and John are the sweetest couple ever. The fruit cobbler & soup is a MUST! Sooo delicious. Their property is absolutely beautiful. The water in the shower runs perfectly hot and the bathroom is walking distance from your tent. This was my first time visiting Ferndale and I will be back. Thank you Wendy and John for this beautiful experience. I can’t wait to be back with the rest of the family!! 🤍
