Nice quiet stay in the cabin. Would stay here again.
Just remember to bring a pillow and extra blanket/sleeping bag.

Beautifully built glass cabin with fairy lights in the forest. This was literally my childhood dream come true. The outdoor kitchen was perfect. We had a wonderful time!

The cabin exceeded my expectations in every way. It was the most amazing stay among a weeklong road trip, and I wish that I’d had more than one night to stay there. Instructions and communication from Ted and Emily was fantastic. I hope to return someday for a longer stay.

The Bayside cabin was perfect for my anniversary getaway. The bed was comfortable and the cabin was warm and cozy with the indoor fireplace. I love an outdoor shower, especially when the water is piping warm too. We woke up each morning to the beautiful natural environment of the PNW and enjoyed a cup of coffee from the French press by the fireside. It was also great being so close to Arcata town center... We enjoyed the spa/sauna at Finnish country along with cool thrift/record stores and lots of great places to eat.

Absolutely loved this cabin. It was SO COZY. We brought blankets and started a fire, made coffee, watched the slugs, rested, and enjoyed the sound of the rain here! Outdoor shower was hot and great. Loved the outdoor kitchen. We want to come back!!!!

Wow! This place is perfect! Forested enough to know that you are peacefully camping in the woods with enough modern convenience to be happy, sanitary and spoiled. (Hot water outdoor shower, private flush toilet, hot water sink, cooking supplies, etc.), The cabin itself is GORGEOUS and beautifully designed. The uniqueness of every well thought out detail is wonderful. The banana slugs lend the perfect sense of humor as they become quite the little subjects for many quirky photographs. Thank you!!

This may be my second review on Bayside cabin. It was a wonderful stay . A really welcoming charming cabin. It was quiet, clean and the stove and outdoor shower were wonderful. There was a camp stove and one would need to bring propane canisters . This was a really great addition and it would be easy to get them nearby because the town was easily accessible with everything you would need. .I look forward to coming again . It was an awesome spot to explore the redwoods and the coast. Thank you again Ted and Emily

Everything went well! This hip camp has by far been my favorite to experience. It's a lovely space tucked within a wooded area, surrounded by gorgeous trees, whimsical banana slugs, and mystical mist in the early mornings. A dream ✨
We were provided with everything necessary: an outdoor kitchen with the necessities to prep food, a wood fire stove in the cabin to stay warm (along with wood), a cozy bed, restroom and outdoor shower tucked around the back of the cabin. Everything was wonderful and we felt extremely comfortable.
Ted and Emily stayed in contact with us and made sure we had what we needed. They even gave us some recommendations on where to travel with our dog ❤️ 10/10 would book again

Ted and Emily's cabin is absolutely wonderful! A magical stay in the lovely Arcata woods. The bed was comfortable, the outdoor shower was refreshing, and the water was delicious! Ted and Emily were extremely gracious hosts and so friendly. Can't wait to come back!

The cabin was PERFECT! The wood stove kept it nice and warm and the bed was comfy. It was the perfect weekend retreat! Great location we will definitely stay again when we're in the area.

It was such a lovely stay! Plenty of firewood to keep the space warm. I was expecting more banana slugs but there were more spiders! They didn’t bother me, there were two in the sink that were just chilling. The shower got warm probably faster than my shower back at home and the last day it rained which was super cozy

Super awesome stay! Very private! So cute and cozy. One thing that would complete this stay would be a place on the porch for dry firewood year round and/or a dry firewood storage spot by the outdoor fire pit!

Bayside Cabin
Ted and Emily’s cabin was the perfect fit for my wife and I, plus our two dogs, on our west coast road trip. The cabin is well tucked away and located away from busy roads for a peaceful setting. The outdoor kitchen and supplies were very convenient and made cooking a breeze. The outdoor shower quickly warmed and the hot water was much appreciated. While we didn’t use it due to arriving a bit late and the temperature not being too low, the fireplace and provided firewood was a nice touch to make for a cozy cabin on a cold night. With all of the windows it was so nice to wake up surrounded by greenery and the morning light. We will definitely be back again next time we pass through the area.

It was a cute little rustic cabin, perfect for 2 people and 2 dogs. The wood burning stove was great and heated the cabin nicely. The only downside was the lack of privacy for the glass bathroom door, the curtain was sheer and you could see through the door. Also be prepared for bugs and slugs! :)

A little glamping cabin close to town. The bed was comfortable and I enjoyed the wood stove. The outdoor shower was also nice and hot. I did not get a chance to have a fire in the fireplace but it's nice they provide you wood. Love the cricket and frog noise at night. My dog loved intensely watching out the windows. Bring your own firestarter/ tongs/ gloves.

Obsessed with this lil tiny house. What a dream. The outdoor kitchen was right on the covered porch, easy to use in the rain. And there was a flush toilet! Wood for the lil woodstove was all prepared, plus a pile of extra firewood outside, complete with hatchet. Frog chorus sang me to sleep. Highly recommend this cabin, wow, 10/10. Just a note to reiterate that there's no wifi, and no bedding provided, so make sure to bring some!

Such a cute place to stay. We stopped here on the our trip from Portland to LA and it was a nice midpoint. Cabin is beautifully built. Took some time to get the fire going but when we did it kept us warm all night. Falling asleep to the rain and waking up to the view was awesome. I hope to stay here again soon!

Loved the site and everything was as described on the account. Hosts were great and responded to questions. Only concern would be regarding privacy with the shower, the wall is a little short so any girl taller than 5’9 id bring a swim top. Otherwise the stay was fantastic.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay here and can’t say enough about how special this space feels. From the moment you walk down the pathway toward the cabin, something shifts — your nervous system immediately settles and you feel yourself slowing down in the best possible way. The setting is incredibly peaceful, surrounded by beautiful trees and nature, and the entire space invites you to return to a simpler, more grounded rhythm.
One of my favorite parts of the experience was the outdoor kitchen and shower. Preparing meals outside while looking out over the trees, hearing the wind move through the forest, and heating the cabin with wood in the evenings made the stay feel intentional and restorative. It’s a rare place where you naturally disconnect from noise and reconnect with the basics — good food, fresh air, and quiet.
The kitchen is thoughtfully equipped with all the essential supplies, along with a small fridge that made longer stays easy and comfortable. A cooler and barbecue are also available upon request, which adds to the flexibility of cooking and enjoying meals outdoors. Guests should plan to bring their own linens and toiletries, which is clearly communicated and fits well with the simple, back-to-basics nature of the stay. The mattress was also extremely comfortable — something that made restful sleep come easily after full days outside.

We had a wonderful and cozy time staying at Ted and Emily‘s. Nothing better than falling asleep to the sound of frogs, enjoying the warmth of a woodfire stove, and waking up to natural light. The outdoor shower was also excellent.

Such a quaint and cozy little cabin in the woods! The wood stove kept the space hot all night and the lights strung outside made for perfect ambience.
