Come stay in our cozy little cabin tucked in an alder forest. Only a few minutes drive from downtown Arcata, it’s like being in the middle of the woods, right in town. This is a quiet neighborhood and is bike-friendly for getting around town. Feel free to ask us for recommendations on places to eat, get a drink, or find an adventure in Arcata and surrounding areas. There is a full size bed, but we do NOT provide linens or bedding so please bring your own. There is a blanket for chilly nights. Please keep in mind it can get cold at night so please plan accordingly. There are lights and electricity in cabin. Please keep in mind this is a camping experience and while the cabin provides shelter, it is rustic. *Feel free to explore the garden/orchard/greenhouse area (through the small gate by the cabin), just be sure to close the gate behind you to keep the deer out. *As noted, there are an abundance of banana slugs during some times of the year. They are harmless and sometime a little too friendly. Feel free to gently relocate them from around the cabin if needed. *Summer 2024 Note: We are constructing a new house near the cabin at this time. There may be construction noise during the daytime (9am-5pm) some days of the week.

Perfect cabin vacation
We loved staying in this cabin so much! It is a beautifully crafted space surrounded by trees and lots of singing birds. The location was perfect for us as we spent every day flitting between town, beach and forest. We will definitely stay here again next trip down to Arcata.

Magical cabin
My dog and I LM the best stay at Ted and Emily’s cabin. It was truly so magical, peaceful and serene.. Ted and Emily have made sure that all their guests needs were met and I really appreciated their prepared wood for the stove and fire pits! I hope to be able to stay with them again in the near future!

Perfect cozy cabin!
We loved the simplicity and having all the essentials for a quick one night stay. Warm water for an outdoor shower, toasty wood stove for the evening, and small outdoor kitchen and bathroom. Scenic, peaceful, and relaxing evening.

Fantastic!
This is such a comfortable and relaxing place and I can’t wait to come back! It was so nice to have a kitchen and flush toilet. All of the trees made it really private. Thanks for a great stay!

My doggies give four paws up!
Love the site! Will return. The cabin's cozy, has a firm bed, is equipped with a kitchen, small fridge, stove, microwave, and related items, a bathroom and shower that adjoins the cabin room, and a grounds that my small dogs could wander and not get lost. I didn't use the furnace to stave off the chill, as wood smoke strongly disagrees with my lungs. Ted and Emily were there to greet me, and I had a good chat with both. And it's quiet and away from the din of vehicular traffic. It's also close to downtown Arcata. What's there not to love about this place?
