Our property is just minutes from Mendocino's beaches, parks and sweet town, yet private and quiet as it is surrounded by 50,000 acre state forest with world class hiking and biking trails directly accessed from our place. Around the giant redwoods and meadows we have sprinkled in the most amazing little cabins, camp sites and deluxe bath house. We have a great outdoor camp kitchen available for your use. The redwood tree shower must not be missed! This is a very special experience for us to share with you. We are a family of campers. We agree, there's nothing better than a rest in a hammock following a hike or a beach day and a night under the stars without the constant dinging of cell and internet! Guests love staying here: "Such a lovely getaway! Our family of four and little dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heartwood. The cabins are great, with comfortable (warm) beds, very clean and cozy. It’s well worth the visit even in the winter! Really appreciated being outdoors surrounded by Redwoods, hiking the trails around the property, the modern bathrooms with hot showers, and the indoor sitting area to make coffee in the mornings. Our stay was relaxing, memorable and special!"

amazing camp！
My experience at Heartwood Camp was absolutely amazing—5 stars! The environment is peaceful and scenic, with clean and well-maintained accommodations. The facilities are excellent and fully equipped, even including cookware and utensils. The host is incredibly understanding, attentive, and willing to listen and assist with any needs. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Great adventure!
Wow! This was one of the most unique "glamping" experiences I've ever had. The proximity to downtown but intimacy to the forest outside Mendocino was second to none. We survived the atmospheric river that hit this weekend and actually made our cabin feel even cozier as the rain poured on to our spot. Had the opportunity to meet Khamoor on our way out and she's such a friendly host. 12/10 would recommend and will be coming back soon!

The Absolute Best Forest Stay!!
This was our 3rd time at Heartwood and it was amazing as always!! The hosts really put their whole hearts into creating a warm and welcoming relaxing visit for everyone, and we love coming here and connecting with nature. The cabins are extra cozy in the winter when you can warm up in the heated beds and in the beautiful redwood shower! The bathrooms are always spotless and there are so many amenities on the property. The only thing I would say is to remember to bring your own shampoo/soap. They do have a biodegradable concentrate in the redwood shower but if you are showering in the bathrooms, don’t forget that! Pro tip: bring a robe from home for the redwood shower so you can have something to bundle up in after your shower :) We absolutely cannot wait to come back, and we are so in love with Heartwood that we want to host our wedding here sometime in the future. Thank you Khamoor and family!!!
