We had such a memorable stay here this past weekend, and a huge part of that was thanks to Cosmo. He went above and beyond in ways we didn’t expect. It was pretty cold while we were there, and he generously opened up his home so we could warm up, cook, and even hang out and play games. That level of hospitality really stood out.
He also checked in on us throughout our stay, bringing firewood to our site and even helping us get our first fire going. On top of that, he shared fresh radishes and other plants from his garden, which was such a thoughtful touch.
One of the highlights was getting to explore the land with him. We rode around on his ATV, learned more about his vision for the property, and even got to check out some of his other campsites. One had a DJ booth that would be perfect for a group gathering, and another (about a mile from our site) was a large, open area that could easily host bigger events.
The site itself also has a shower, though it’s cold water. That said, Cosmo offered access to a bathroom in his home with a hot shower, which made a big difference given the weather.
Also worth noting: there’s a large, free-roaming St. Bernard from a neighboring property. We only saw her one night, and she was incredibly gentle. She wandered over, curled up near our fire, and added to the whole experience.
Overall, this felt like more than just a campsite. It felt like being welcomed onto someone’s land and taken care of. Would absolutely
