For 21 years, we have worked on keeping this property as a Sacred Space. There's a meadow with an Indian artifact and amazing views. We are a team, husband and wife, this is off-the-grid and we raise our children here. At the same time, we grow organic food and work on our crafts and spiritual practice, never using chemical fertilizers, and keeping all of the groundwater clear and clean with an abundance of spring water for drinking. This is a magical forest retreat and we love to share it with others who are like-minded. Right out of the Mendocino National Forest, 100-Acre Forest and Meadow Retreat is just minutes to the Eel River out of the small town of Potter Valley and 15 minutes to Lake Pillsbury. Private views, fresh spring water and endless possibilities. *******We also recommend that you have AWD or 4x4 vehicle, as the road is dirt coming in and the campsite are up the mountain off of a dirt road*******We have 2 campsites currently with fresh spring water, and fire pits. Private and in the woods. Lots of hiking on the land, with stunning views. Bring your own tent, hammock, food whatever you need to be a happy camper!! In the spring of 2019 we added in 2 new yurt sites, with soaking tubs, filled with hot spring water. We have 2 campsites to book for regular camping tents and we just added a community bathroom . Nestled away in the forest very private queen size bed natural spring water for soaking in the tub on your porch. In addition for comfort and convenience we have a nice bathroom with hand-washing station. Each yurt can come with propane heat in winter time you need to request it, in the Extras. making it cozy all year long. *******We also recommend that you have AWD or 4x4 vehicle, as the road is dirt coming in and the campsite are up the mountain off of a dirt road*******.

Shangri-La 14 Ft Grn. Yurt/Soak Tub
Beautiful yurt with a magical bathtub! Loved listening to the stream of the river. The outside had some nice picnic tables and chairs. It was really cold outside during our stay, but Andrea offered a heater that warmed up the yurt. Just have some patience driving there as it goes through dirt road and is pretty secluded with no service. Also the bathroom is a walk up the hill. I’d recommend getting familiar with the trail up while there’s sunlight! Lovely stay overall!

Shangri-La 14 Ft Grn. Yurt/Soak Tub
Fantastic and remote with ample space to play with dogs in beautiful surroundings. Great views of mountains, creek and waterfalls right by the yurt, and suuuuuper comfortable bed!!! Road was rough but I knew that going up and was late getting there so arriving in the dark is always challenging, but woke up to such a wonderful experience. The store in town is awesome and has everything you could need to grill tasty food- lots of local stuff too. I got local pork chops and ham steak, ground beef and all so tasty. Also local sourdough was the best bread ever. Honey too. Really excited to visit again and stay for a few more days now that I know what to expect!

Definitely Recommend!
We had a great time as a family of 4 + a dog at the Yurt! It was big enough for us to inflate a queen mattress near the existing bed. Nice and cozy. Make sure you either bring your own propane heater (we did!) or opt for the heater that they provide - it got cold in the night! Lovely sounds of the creek nearby and overall such a neat and simple set up. We didn't get to use the Tub this time around, but can imagine how nice it would be with the views around it! Note - there's no cell phone coverage / wifi, which was nice to be honest - we were all disconnected and spent time together as a family playing board games and walking around.

14ft Green Yurt
Lovely drive up to the location! We stayed one night in the green yurt. We loved exploring the land! We climbed down to the creek and enjoyed listening to the water flow down the rocks. The trees, ferns, mushrooms, and moss are all so beautiful. I had a nice soak in the tub in the early morning which was incredible. Will definitely have to stay at least 2 nights next time.

Cool but be prepared for cold
Cool experience but make sure you know what you're getting into, especially in colder seasons. We stayed in the green yurt and added the propane heater as recommended by others. The price is a bit high but I can't imagine not having it. That said, it was pretty finicky/old and randomly went out in the middle of the night, so the rest of the night was super cold and we weren't sure if there was enough gas to use it in the morning. We went in early January and woke up to beautiful morning snow which was very rewarding. Andrea was kind to check in on us to make sure we had AWD to get down. The trek to the site is not that bad. I could see a basic car getting there just fine, but with snow it may make less experienced drivers uncomfortable. We visited Lake Pillsbury first so we went the opposite direction of driving directly to the site, so the sign was hard to see from the other direction. Bathroom facilities were impressive, though the signs for the trail to it could perhaps use an update. A nice added touch was a Jackery for charging things, which I don't think had been listed in the description.
