Be near the park, but feel that complete privacy. These sites are very spaced out from each other and are large. No need to cram together! Explore the mines and hang out on our Groveland, California ranch! We have 824 acres on a beautiful cattle ranch with two small ponds. On our property, you'll find frogs, turtles, oak trees, pine trees and stunning views of Yosemite. We have several campsites to choose from including RV camping, tent camping, and a glamping tent. Pets are welcome. Campfires are permitted as long as there is no fire ban. Potable water and toilet are available onsite. There's a golf course less than a mile away. We are also very close to town. In just a few minutes, you can drive to our local grocery store and pizza parlour. We are a 10-minute drive to Pine Mountain Lake. Beautiful Pine Mountain Lake offers golfing, dining, horseback riding, water sports and an airport. When you come to the ranch it feels like you are hundreds of miles away from civilization, but still close to everything you need. It is incredibly peaceful! This is a great place for someone who wants to escape city life and enjoy the tranquillity of nature. Much of the ranch is open wilderness for you to explore, and it's not uncommon to see deer, frogs, turtles, quail, turkeys, or other countless species of birds. Diamond Gulch Camp is the perfect place to relax if you’re a photographer, artist, family or a group of friends looking for a place to camp near Yosemite. A small portion of the property was used as a gold mine years ago, and you may find remnants of old home sites if you go exploring. We're not far from Wards Ferry Road, Groveland, Lake Don Pedro and other interesting places.

Bridgeport Reservoir is a lake at the lower end of Bridgeport Valley in Mono County, California. Its earth-filled dam was constructed in 1923 by the Walker River Irrigation District, along the East Walker River. The campground and marina was built I-don't-know-how-long ago, but it sure is nice! About Us: Welcome to Bridgeport Reservoir Marina and Campground. Join us for the classic camping and fishing experience with unique views of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Within the Toiyabe National Forest, Bridgeport Reservoir Marina and Campground is conveniently located near two distinct hot spring areas. A true angler's paradise, the Reservoir has excellent trout fishing from spring through fall and is close by to multiple rivers for incredible fly fishing. A 35 minute drive on highway 120 will take you to the Tioga Pass Gate of Yosemite National Park. This gate is a great start to several different areas inside of the park that you may want to visit beyond that gate. Off-road enthusiasts would not have enough time in one visit to explore all of the 4x4 trails, abandoned mines, and sites in the area as well as the famous trail that brings you right to the Bodie Ghost Town. Climate and Ecosystem: At 6,400 feet (1,950 meters), this high desert climate has little to moderate tree coverage and gets hot during the days and cool at night. The conditions are much like Joshua Tree National Park or Alabama Hills camping area. During your visit, you will notice many flying insects that resemble mosquitos. These Chironomid are harmless and do not bite. On the contrary, the mosquito presence is very minimal. Swimming in the lake is possible usually between April to July.

We believe in campfires, starry nights, good laughs, exploration, a deep sleep and an early rise. The mountains are a place to get back to basics, a place to explore, to breathe. So turn off your phone and turn on your senses. It’s important to us that our guests don’t feel they are renting a tent/RV site or a camper as much as they’re immersing themselves into the outdoor experience. You may just want to sit outside and read for days, enjoy campfires and eat s'mores. For more adventurous, there's a full slate of self-guided recreational activities, such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, ATVing, rock climbing, biking, natural water slides, stand up paddle boards, bird watching, available in the area. We do have modern conveniences such as wifi internet; however, we encourage our guests to “unplug” and immerse in the slow paced life instead. At Paradise Shores, we believe in protecting people, animals and the planet. We make sure that the majority of products we use at our camp is recycled, composted, or re-used. We prefer to use products that are produced in a sustainable way and avoid those that aren't. We are continuously reducing the amount of waste we generate and actively promote recycling of aluminum, plastic, glass, and cardboard. We pack our own recycling and haul it to the nearest recycling facility which is an hour away. We co-opt the drive with other activities to reduce waste. We don’t use individually packaged toiletries or one-use products. We use plant and planet friendly detergent. We're based in a desert. We share our precious water with the entire planet. With only 326 million cubic miles of water on the earth, the decreasing amounts of access to quality fresh water is alarming to us. We monitor how we use water in our day-to-day activities and are constantly working on ways to reduce our consumption of fresh-water resources. We hope you can help us maintain this greener camping! We hope Paradise Shores Camp becomes your home as it is ours. It’s located in one of the most spectacular areas in the world. We’re surrounded on three sides by the high Sierra Nevada Mountains. Yosemite National Park, Tuolumne Meadows, Mono Lake, June Lake, Virginia Lakes, and Twin Lakes, as well as the historic gold-mining town of Bodie, CA are all within a short drive from our place. We're proud to know this area intimately and are excited to share the secret spots with you. The excellent hiking/running trails including the Pacific Crest Trail, thousands of miles of ATV, dirt bike and mountain bike trails are accessible right from our camp or within a short drive from here. The surrounding terrain offers endless activities and unbelievable scenery in remote wilderness settings. Pet Policy All our RV & Tent sites are pet friendly and we allow up to two dogs per reservation for a small fee. We can also accommodate up to two four-legged campers in our pet-friendly Baja or Tatra trailers for a small fee, we ask that they stay off the furniture (beds, sofas etc.) and are not left in the rental unattended. We love dogs, but sadly won’t be able to accommodate heavily shedding pets that aren’t house trained. Additionally, our insurance will not allow "aggressive breeds" that include any mix of: Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Doberman, German Sheppard. Please pick up after your pup and use a leash when at the camp. Thank you in advance for your consideration and help in keeping our camp a mellow and enjoyable place for everyone.

When you come to camp here you are on a farm in transition. Girlfarm has been a local food go to for restaurants, farm family members, and regenerative agriculture interests. Today, the farm is looking forward to a new course in agri tourism as we begin planning walking gardens, art installations in the landscape, and interactive classes. If you would like fresh veggies contact Prema Farm one day BEFORE arrival - Please come visit in April May and June it is some of the most green and lush times in the high desert. Beautiful natural campsites in the Valley of the Moon (Ojai Valley). Our sites are within an eighth of a mile of walking, running, biking, and riding trails from Ojai to the beaches of Ventura. On many days you can experience Ojai’s famous pink moments. You can hike the trails above Ojai, boat, eat, or picnic at Lake Casitas. Travel to nearby Ventura to shop, fish the pier, or take a deep sea fishing charter or Island charter to Whale watch or fish around the Channel Islands. Please note the aerial view of the camping area recently placed by Hipcamp is NOT AT ALL REPRESENTATIVE of the current camping sites and shows a photo that is many years old when the site was merely land. That photo is without any of the existing amenities or improvements. The actual sites are all Larger than Federal Park and Statepark guidelines, with averages of 20'x30' for campsites and 20'x40' for a long RVCampsite. We have planted many young trees and continue to plant trees and native shrubs around and near the sites. We have picnic tables, table coverings, fire pits, and camping rugs/footprints. There is also an outdoor shower, a shower tent with hot water, and an upgraded porta-potty with a sink. Note: During times when high heat is predicted, we strongly recommend that our Hipcampers bring pop-up shade tents or canopies for their sites. The Hipcamp is adjacent to our working ranch, and any photos of old sheds, trucks, a wood lot, or other equipment are NOT on the Hipcamp, but you will drive past that property to get to the separate Hipcamp area. Wineries, Farmer's Markets, Craft Breweries, dispensaries, and more are within 10 to 15 minutes of our site. Our location allows moments when you may see Hawks, Owls, Geese, Swallows, Robins, Bluebirds, and more. We offer both tent and RV camping. The Majority of our Guests love it here: "Vivian and Dave were exceptional hosts! Easy to contact and find our way to their property. Also gave us a plethora of places to go and things to do in the Ojai area. The area was open and spacious, and many trees and upgrades were in the works to make future stays more user-friendly. Our 220 remote acres are adjacent to Shasta Trinity National Forest in the beautiful Cascade Range between Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta in Northern California. It's a working ranch with tree farms, animals, hydroelectric power, sawmill, gardens, orchards, creeks, springs, trails, and our camp alongside Kosk Creek. We're 54 miles from Redding off of 299E, (about 1-1/2 hour drive). DO NOT TAKE ROAD 11 FROM THE NORTH, IT IS CLOSED! PIease try to ignore the "car art" in the Pit River Tribe's Rancheria as you're coming here. Drive right through it, it's no reflection on us. The last mile or so of the road here can be pretty rough, but on arrival, you'll know it's worth the trip! No Cell phone service available here, so it's the perfect opportunity to unplug. We do have a land line up at the house in case of an emergency. Also, if you really need it, WiFi is available at the house.

Weekend Trip to Spirit Walk - Private Retreat

John’s campsite is truly a special place. My friends and I spent a peaceful July 4th weekend at Spirit Walk and it couldn’t have been a more ideal setup. The outdoor kitchen is well stocked and convenient, outdoor shower is lovely, firewood available for sale on-site and the creek was a perfect temperature for swimming. Highly recommend!

I recently stayed at The Cove #1: OakTree Shaded Campsite at Hideout Mountain Lodge for the 4th of July weekend. The entire campsite was incredibly clean and well-maintained. True to its name, the massive oak tree canopy offered wonderful shade, making it a perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring. Another huge bonus was the connectivity—the Wi-Fi was surprisingly good and kept us connected without any issues. What really set this place apart, though, were the amenities. The bathrooms were spotless and featured real, flushing toilets, which is a massive upgrade for a camping trip! They also have excellent shower facilities that were a lifesaver. There is nothing better than being able to wash off the outdoor dirt and feel completely fresh and clean after being out and about the campsite all day. The moo-ing cows were entertaining as well. Highly recommend!

The most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen. The road is mildly treacherous, but my fully loaded 2wd ford transit didn’t mind it at all, so you will be fine. Host was helpful, facilities worked as expected, will be back.

Then I showed up, And Oh My Goshhhhh!!!! I was just expecting a Nice place to camp, But this place is a Campers Dream!! The Nice animals, Nice area, Kayak rides, The Company of Friendly dogs, Everything about this place is 6 of 5 Stars!! Absolutely Love this place!!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this campground. It has everything you need, including propane refills, which was very convenient. The friendly orange cat at the reception was definitely a highlight! The only downside was that some guests didn’t follow the campground rules and kept their generators running past quiet hours, but fortunately we were able to resolve the situation. There were also quite a few mosquitoes this time of year, so bringing bug spray is a good idea. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and would be happy to stay here again.

Really easy place to find easy to get in easy to get out. The staff was super friendly. They have hook ups for everybody if you need them the spaces are pretty wide so you have like legitimate room. I had four dogs with me. Everyone walk their dogs on leash, which I greatly appreciate will definitely be booking it again.

We travel full time and we are based in St Pete Florida. This was one of our most favorite campgrounds we’ve been to in the last year. The hosts are so super sweet. We love the renovated campers, the shared outdoor kitchen, the access to the reservoir, the view of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the close proximity to the little town of Bridgeport and the fun relaxed vibe. They have lightening in a bottle and I wish we weren’t so far away to be able to visit again. But if we come out west we will be there again in a heartbeat. Do yourself a favor and book a week here to unwind, relax and enjoy the perfect oasis that is Paradise Shores!!

Listening to the water as we slept was magical. The entire campground is well kept and the communal kitchen was so nice not having to over pack. But the outdoor shower is the highlight of the campground. This place is peaceful, quiet and a wonderful spot to relax and reset.

We enjoyed staying at Bridgeport Reservoir Campground Site#21. Other than the mosquitos (we understood that it was that time of the year), we loved the view from our 5th wheel. We enjoyed watching the trout jumping out of the water - it was pretty cool to watch! It was nice and quiet there. Even though we only stayed one night, we would stay there again when we pass through. Next time we'll remember to bring our fishing poles!

The bathrooms and shower were immaculate and functioned really well. Can’t say enough good things and can’t wait to go back.

Weekend Trip to Ascension Ranch

Beautiful camping spots! We pitched two tents in Hidden Oaks with two adults, four kids and a dog and had everything we needed. Temporary toilets within easy walking distance, a fire pit, a picnic table and lovely stroll to the lake. Swimming wasn’t so good as the lake is very muddy. But it’s beautiful to view. The kids loved roaming around visiting all the animals, the horses and goats and feeding the chickens. The farms dogs are lovely and got on just fine with our dog. Isaiah and all the farm hands are very friendly and helpful. The road in has lots of twists and turns so be prepared to those who get travel sickness. All up a great family camping trip and getaway from the city! Would love to return.

This campground is thoughtfully laid out, offering a great mix of tent sites, cabins, and a handful of RV spaces. We stayed in Site #2, which was a perfect fit for our 28-foot RV. One of our favorite parts was falling asleep to the soothing sounds of the creek all weekend—it was incredibly relaxing. The managers were welcoming, friendly, and always happy to help. Whether you enjoy walking, hiking, or taking scenic drives to explore the area, this campground is an excellent base for outdoor adventures. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!
