Great camping site!
Great camping site, with incredible view of the lake. The bathrooms were so clean, and equipped with toilet paper, soap and paper towels. Each camping site has its own picnic table, grill and camping fire. I’ll definitely go back!

Hidden Gem
I love this spot. A hidden gem. Camping, disc golf, Franks Diner and beautiful surroundings. This is a small and quaint campground hidden beyond Placerville. One of my favorite places to visit. Be sure not to pack too much food because you can’t beat the menu at Frank’s!!

We camped at Finnon Lake the last weekend of the season before they closed and it was kinda a rainy weekend, but the property was beautiful and being the last weekend no else was there. We had a great time and are looking forward to our return in the summer months.

Amazing place. Very remote. Booked during a weekday and it was just us and 2 other campers that were further away. Pristine waters, very clean flush toilets, potable water. Just perfect.

T14 - Lakefront Haven
This little spot was amazing. Granted, it was mid week, off season, but we were the only ones there and it was bliss. If you’re looking for a spot to enjoy Apple Hill fall fun, this is a good spot to do it from. The lake is full of birds, the site was super clean, and the bathrooms are nice.

A11 - Waterfront at Finnon Lake
Excellent mountain top lake front camping site and clean flushable toilets. This time (Oct 23/24 2022) it was windy and cold weather loudly announced its upcoming arrival, however, we enjoyed. Reserved for end of April 2023 and end of May 2023! Franks’ diner is at the entrance of the camp sites on waterfront. Frank’s original cheese Burger and fries A+ to me and service is excellent too.

A15 - Fallen Oak Flat
Right on the lake
Lovely campground right on the shore of a small, but pleasant lake. Lots of birds including a pair of bald eagles. We used our kayaks and paddle board many times. Great bathrooms. The only trouble we had was leveling our 24 ft travel trailer. The pull-through area was very slanted and it took us about an hour to jockey around and then needed 4 blocks. The other trailer sights looked the same. We would definitely return.

What a beautiful campground! Clean bathrooms, potable water, a picnic table under a huge tree with a swing. Lots of talkative ducks and geese. The sunset was icing on the cake. Site A1 was right on the water and a great spot to relax. Thanks so much!

T18 - Laguna Landing at Finnon Lake
The road there is a bit twisty but, the campground has relatively few spots so it doesn’t see crowds of people. It’s perfect for walkers (walk the extensive disc golf course or just go round the lake), fishers, kayakers, SUPs, families, pet owners etc. We like the fantastic food at the diner and always plan at least one meal there.

Difficult drive but SO worth it!
We had a great time at Finnon Lake. So beautiful and peaceful. We have a 20-ft travel trailer and did not know the drive in was so treacherous (but doable) - be verrry careful! Be sure to read the host notes with your reservation confirmation - the driving directions are very important if you’re pulling a trailer. Everything was so clean, spacious, and easy. We will definitely be back. PS. Frank’s Diner was amazing - a must if you’re at Finnon Lake!

A2 - Lakeside at Finnon Lake
Too noisy. Food was great at the diner close by. The ducks or the birds were making so much noise in the midnight. Then the kids from near by campus were making out of noise. It felt like chaos. Could have picked a different day I think.

A2 - Lakeside at Finnon Lake
Beautiful location
Great campground - sites are far enough apart that you don't feel cramped at all, and all sites have a view of the lake, and are close enough to feel like you're lakeside. Nice trail around lake as well. Grounds were very clean and the bathrooms were the cleanest I've ever seen - I think one of the employees at the diner is responsible, so please thank them. And the diner is a must-stop for breakfast. Next time will do lunch as well.

T14 - Lakefront Haven
Booked T14 for 3 days. When we arrived at our campsite, everything was great and clean. most of the campsites are facing the lake and it's lovely during sunset. We have been to multiple campgrounds that have restrooms before and we would say that this one is the cleanest. And would love to mention that Franks Dinner staff is super nice and polite. We came into the restaurant and asked for ice 3 times in a row but they are friendly to not charge us. We appreciate the host, staff, and also volunteers who help out around the campsites.

Camping at Finnon Lake was so calming and peaceful. The drive in can be a tough especially after sunset, but it's absolutely worth it. Don't forget to stop by Frank's diner during your stay - great food, great service, and beautiful views. I would definitely come back.

Beautiful Fall Day at the Lake
A really beautiful place to come to rest and decompress. The Lake glistened, the ducks danced on the water's edge, and the trees showed their first signs of color. The woody smell was refreshing and welcoming. The hiking trails are amazing and next time I'm bringing my fishing gear!

THE CAMPGROUND ACTUALLY ROCKS
I really enjoyed the campground itself! It was clean, had bathrooms, a beautiful view of the reservoir, and picnic tables. My stay was rocky because there was a couple close-by who wouldn’t stop loudly ~making love~ and then fighting/screaming at each other and then repeating the cycle over and over again from about 10:30-4am. I barely slept, which was a huge bummer considering this campground is PERFECT. Obviously not the fault of the host, but I did not feel well-rested AT ALL when the sun came up. :/

Rude staff &volunteers SPY on you
The staff is very RUDE. They have been judgy and passive aggressiveto us all 3 times we have been there. I understand strict rules, but please have kindness while reminding us of them. HORNETS are a huge problem, if you cook, you will get bombarded and attacked. Staff and "volunteer rule enforcers" SPY on you. They circle in their cars all hours of day and night to nitpick how you are camping, behaving, where your things are and if you have your digs on the right types of leashes. Overbearing. A man was SPYING on me with binoculars from accross the cove of the lake while I was dressing in my tent, who's opening was facing the empty "private " lake. Pervert! Then I saw one of the old lady volunteers drive up to him and chat with him, they were friends and she didn't care he was spying!. What if he was watching little children change, play, swim, etc too. Creeped us out! It's a BEAUTIFUL place but the big brother helicopter vibes are too inappropriate.

A13 - Waterfront
This was our second time tent camping at the lake and it is one of our most favorite places to camp. Other campers observe quiet hours, the sites are spacious and clean, the bathrooms are clean. Kayaking and paddle boarding on the lake is fun. Everything about camping at Finnon is wonderful and we are already planning our next reservation.
