This land was home to the Miwok, then European and Chinese miners, then a cattle rancher. It was also home to a former nun who quit the dominican order to purchase this land for inner city kids to have a chance to ride, swim, hike and fish. There is NOTHING like being in the wilderness of this area for a good re-centering of the soul! We feel certain you will not be disappointed with this beautiful river canyon. Our property is situated right on the middle fork cosumnes river. We have 2 sleeping cabins and several tent sites (can be rented separately). The cabins offers a rustic/minimalist type vibe - bring your own bedding/pillows to sleep on the comfy futon. A table and chairs are provided for the cabins. Tent sites have a wood table (bring your camp chairs) and a fire pit. The swimming is awesome and tons of hiking. Many family owned wineries in the area, most of them offering free tasting. It’s a short drive to Tahoe and the Marshall gold discovery site as well as the historic hangtown Placerville. The recent Caldor Fire was VERY close to our property and a back burn was initiated nearby the cabins. It is still as beautiful as ever but please know there are lots of slash piles. Falling trees and burned up stump holes are also a risk and it is presumed campers will be cautious and at their own risk.

Cabin #1
We had a great time at Cabin #1. It was chilly outside and the wood stove was extra cozy. Noleen has a charming property and we enjoyed watching the sheep, chickens, and her dog. Her dog was friendly with ours and followed us for a walk. I would recommend this spot as a rustic weekend escape. There are also tons of great wineries within a short drive of Noleen's property.

Cabin #1
The camp was deep into the woods and a bit confusing to locate. The guest that were at the other cabin were very polite and greeted us. The room was very basic. There are some battery operated candles inside 3 out of 4 worked. Not electricity so prepare before hand. They have a toilet in between the cabins. The river at the bottom of the hill is beautiful. It’s like camping in a tent pretty much. There was no interaction with Noreen and family but we arrived late and left early.

Beautiful campsite that was spacious, quiet, and clean. Easy to find and felt very secluded. Would highly recommend if looking for something in the area!

Cabin #2
My son and I stayed for an overnight getaway and had a great time, Plenty of area to hike and discover. The river access makes it easy to enjoy. The Hosts were extremely kind and accommodating. There is a Dollar Store located just prior to your drive in to the property making it easy for last minute needs. Cabins are simply appointed but will get you out of the weather. Thanks for a fun experience!

We had a great time camping at Noleen’s land. We were in one of the 2 cabins. Having a flushable toilet was a very nice addition ..The camp is a very short walk to a beautiful flowing river. The farm animals were a perfect backdrop to the idyllic setting. The owners were a very friendly and helpful family . It was a wonderful find for. Perfect place to celebrate or just to enjoy nature. Thank you for sharing your wonderful place!
