Redwood Retreat =

An amazing stay as always at Baby Banana Slug, I finished my “tour” of the four cabins and finally stayed at the Redwood Retreat. I can confirm that the stay in Mendocino County felt much too short, and that Nathan as always remain an impeccable host who offered a warm welcome for me, my dog and family. Having a full (well-equipped) kitchen, full bath and wood burning stove (stocked with wood) in the Redwood Retreat cabin make this the ultimate favorite for future travels with the family. The cabin was clean and cozy with many special touches that make this place shine.

This is such a cute spot to spend a few nights in the woods - everything you need, including a heater and twinkly lights. The host and other guests were all very friendly, and I loved how easy it was to drive to the coast and Mendocino.

The coolest campsite. Everything we needed - quiet and peaceful. The setting was so beautiful. Fun seeing the banana slugs and most thankful there were no mosquitoes! Highly recommend.

The place was clean, well stocked, and easy to find. One thing to keep in mind is that it’s about a 15-minute drive back to Highway 1, so if you plan to visit Mendocino, return to rest, and head back out later, you’ll want to factor that in. This rental is best suited for larger families or groups, with sleeping space for five or six people depending on the arrangements. For a couple, it felt like more space than we needed, so we probably wouldn’t stay again. That said, lodging in Albion is expensive, and this offers good value for the price. Strong Wi-Fi, and there is a decent size TV upstairs, which I don’t think is mentioned in the ad.

Paradise with doggy name bear

The place was magnificent, exuding a mind-blowing sense of tranquility and offering an exceptional experience in its surroundings. If I lived closer, I would highly recommend visiting this beautiful place every month. My husband and I had a wonderful stay here, and we truly appreciate Nate and his mother for taking care of the cleanliness and maintaining a professional and neat atmosphere.

What a great spot! You basically just need to bring yourself and some clothes for a stay at Bay Banana Slug. We were only about 20 minutes from great coastal hikes, amazing food and views for days. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Had a great couple nights in the sunshine cabin. The kitchen and shower/toilet accommodations were lovely and super cute, as was the cat roaming around. Less cute was the shelf over the head of the bed that I hit my head on multiple times while trying to read at night.

Site 1 - Baby Banana Slug Farm

The cabin was perfect for the night and really cozy. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of blankets and also a heater. Nathan had excellent communication before our arrival and even invited us to a cookout he was having earlier in the day. I would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay at baby banana slug farm! The campsite was incredibly clean and well taken care of and much bigger than I expected which was nice. We were able to fit a 4 person tent on the platform and a smaller 2 person tent of to the side of the site. We also brought two vehicles and comfortably fit everything without feeling cramped. We even got to bring our pup who LOVED the site. The listing said it here were no picnic tables so we brought one just in case- there ended being one at the campsite which was handy. Also, I am definitely a glamper and was very nervous about the toilet situation but I was pleasantly surprised at how not smelly the toilets were! Highlights of the site are definitely the clean site, proximity to adventures and town, and looking for slugs. They are HUGE and are everywhere! It was so cool to see so many- however they are definitely not babies😂 We look forward to staying here again in the future!

Family Wedding stay.

We had a great short family visit to the coast for a wedding. Nathan was very easy to communicate with and the stay was very pleasant. We enjoyed the place and hope to have a reason to return to the area in the future.

Very clean and comfortable cabin

This house was tucked back in the forest, very quiet. The wood stove was so nice and we had a cozy fire. The house is very well maintained and had everything we needed. The place was so clean! We never even saw a spider- that's a big deal to us. Nate was very nice and accommodating. We also saw several banana slugs. Would definitely recommend!

Loving High Times at Mushroom Cabin

We love so many things about Baby Banana Slug Farm! The tiny cabin is so cute and romantic with charming artsy touches. Mushroom cabin even had a mushroom shaped outdoor table. You couldn't see the other cabins with the woods all around, and there are some charming little gardens, too. Bedding and towels were provided! The flush toilet at the wash house is luxe compared to the porta potties the state park camp ground stuck us with. And I enjoyed an outdoor-ish shower in a vintage bath tub. Our cabin had an outdoor kitchenette on the porch and it was fun to cook on the vintage iron two-burner. Nathan is a warm and friendly host and an excellent craftsman. This property is ideally located near four amazing and beautiful state parks. We enjoyed a couple of nice, easy hikes in redwoods and fern canyons. It's also near Mendocino for art and fine dining. Don't miss the Botanical Gardens! We hope to return to Baby Banana Slug Farm.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin in Albion! The place was incredibly clean, cozy, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. It was the perfect spot for our family, both the kids and the dogs had an amazing time. We really appreciated how comfortable and clean everything was. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend.

DOOR KNOB

The cabin we had for the night was nice and the instructions given to locate cabin was easy but one down fall was just the door knob not locking!!! Big noo! It would be nice if you can provide board games and more lighting for the outside. Fix the DOOR KNOB!!!

Site 1 - Baby Banana Slug Farm

What a beautiful place to spend time! The comfort of the redwoods was so wonderful, and we found so many banana slugs! Our group rented the Redwood Retreat cabin, the Sunshine cabin, and the Mushroom Cabin. Each one had its own charm. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor mini kitchen at the Mushroom Cabin, and the Sunshine cabin was right across from the restroom & community kitchen, which were so lovely. The Redwood Retreat was the perfect spot to share space and had a wonderful kitchen for our shared meals, and a TV in the loft where we had a big cuddle puddle and watched a movie. It was so easy to get to the town of Mendocino, and to the beaches too. We’ll def be back!

Nice spot nestled in the woods. Campsite has a platform for one tent and plenty of space for another. It was nice to have a private outhouse and sink with water.
