This was a great location. Very quiet and private and yet close to town. the communal fire pit and BBQ were a nice addition!

Camping with teenager
My son and I are very grateful to have been able to camp at Nathaniel and Pearl's beautiful little paradise in the redwoods. The fire pit was lovely and the hot, outdoor shower was very much appreciated after our days spent on the beautiful beaches of Mendocino. We look forward to our next visit.

Beautiful
Nice and very quiet place in the wood. Beautiful fireplace, big grill for free and a funny shower with a nice view in the wood.

We had a wonderful time at Nathaniel and Pearl's spot! It's a gorgeous place and super convenient to Mendocino and all of the state parks. In the evening, the mosquitoes are quite abundant, so it's a good idea to bring strong repellant (and one of those electric racquet things to zap bugs).

Mosquito Country
Overall the campsite was nice but there was standing water that was breeding an army of mosquitos. They were so aggressive that we down the majority of our time away from camp to get some respite. Even though there is some bug spray provided, it isn’t enough to combat the sheer volume of mosquitos. We were all diligent about applying spray all over and also lighting citronella candles and coils, but we still got bitten. The solution is not bug spray - the standing water next to the campsites needs to be drained.
