This site was so well thought-out and well-run. A hot outdoor shower while camping is such a luxury, and the hosts have thought about a lot of small extras, like providing extra bug spray and sunscreen by the communal bathroom. I wished I'd stayed longer than one night!

Great for families
We had such an amazing time at Waterfall camp. Shay and Liz checked in with us and gave us some recommendations for places to visit nearby. Their attention to detail, from the blankets on chairs around the campfire to the kitchen set up was fabulous . There is a private hiking trail to a waterfall. Our kids (and ourselves included), had a blast playing badminton and corn hole. There were clean bathrooms and showers nearby. The 3 campsites were well spaced and it felt plenty private for us. Our site did have a lot of sun for most of the day and we visited when the temperature was 100+.
This is a great campsite for families and we look forward to returning in the future.

#2 - Pygmy Grove
We had an amazing time staying at the Pygmy Grove site! This has been one of our favorite camping experiences.
We cooked dinner over the fire every night and loved the grill. It was so nice having a sink to wash dishes at our site, the provided cooking tools were a nice touch, and it was such a treat that they provided firewood.
The campground borders the Russian Gulch State Park, which has beautiful trails just a short walk away.
Shay made up feel right at home and gave great local recommendations for outdoor adventures.
We would happily camp here again!

Great campground, would book again!
Really lovely camp site! Shay and Liz were really friendly, welcoming and attentive as hosts. The site had a communal bathroom area with flushing toilets and hot showers. They also had sinks at each camp site with soap and grilling tools. There's also wifi on-site (Starlink) which is great because there was no reception in the area. The grounds is a short 30 min hike to the waterfall in Russian Gulch state park.
Came over the 4th of July holiday, was expecting cooler temps and fog/overcast, but with the record heat wave it was way hotter than expected. And no clouds in site all weekend. Just a bit of warning that the Stargazer site has no shade besides the umbrella in the picnic table. So be sure to bring an awning or shade if the sun is out.
Stargazer is arguably the largest site connected to the badminton court and lawn and is closest to the restroom/showers.
We are already planning on booking again and maybe booking all the sites for a family trip!

Camping perfected!
We stayed at Wildwood because of its proximity to mountain bike riding. We stayed because we had three rigs and 6 people and one dog and campsite #1 could accommodate. We stayed because it’s just so beautiful at the coast. We stayed because Shay and Liz have created such a wonderful space to have a base camp, to have good meals by the fire, to have hot showers at the end of a day on the bike, to sit and talk stories with friends and to make new ones. They have created a wonderful and intimate space and we will be back. Thank you!
