Steffnyâs property was even more beautiful than we expected. It felt so peaceful, cared for, and special and it was the perfect place to land while visiting Orr Hot Springs.
Steffny was incredibly warm and welcoming, and you can really feel the love and intention that has gone into creating the space. Iâve already been telling all my friends about it because it genuinely felt like such a little hidden gem.
I would absolutely stay here again and already know Iâll be back. đ

The first thing you notice is the beauty into which you've stepped ... the hills, the woodland, the freshness of it all, and the slight undercurrent of pine fragrance mixed with lavender. Views abound., and Steffny, the host, is a grounded, and caring delight.
Everything you see is arranged beautifully, and for the visitor's convenience. If you are in Cabin 2, know you will have a short but steep walk to get anywhere, but also know the privacy of it is delightful.
Definitely going again.
Running Springs Ranch and Lavender Farm was a delight to get away to! I'd planned to soak at Orr Hot Springs, only about 10 minutes down the road, but they didn't have any rooms, and I'm so glad they didn't!
The peace, warmth, friendliness, and serenity of this setting and its hostess were well worth staying off site. Also, the furnishings and bedding of the tent-a-lo was tasteful and offered top-notch comfort! I also loved the extra touches--like the carafe of water and water glass, and the lavender hydrosol by the bedside.
I highly recommend this stay!

Steffny is an incredibly warm and welcoming host. She was very responsive and answered all of our questions promptly, making our stay seamless from start to finish.
The entire property is peaceful, serene, and exactly what we were looking for in a relaxing getaway. The tent was spotless, and the shared bathrooms were consistently clean throughout our stay.
We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend staying here to anyone looking for a calm and rejuvenating escape.

Had a really lovely stay at Site 1! It was clean and comfortable, and Steffny was an incredible host. We took the farm tour on our last day and I would highly recommend it! I would absolutely stay here again.
Such a lovely property, lodging and view. Ranger & Steffny are the consummate hosts! I hope to visit again soon.
âââââ Hands down the BEST host we have ever encountered! The property itself is absolutely stunning and beautiful, especially visiting in June right when the lavender is in full bloomâit is incredibly gorgeous to walk around! All the shared facilities were also super clean, well-maintained, and comfortable.
But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the host. She went above and beyond to look out for our family and was the most thoughtful, caring, and accommodating host weâve ever met.
If you are looking for an amazing getaway, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

What a special place, special host, and wonderful experience!! Thereâs just a fabulous energy, the land is beautiful, and Steffny is the sweetest and most gracious host. Weâll definitely be back! We had our 4.5 month old baby with us and this was the perfect first camping experience with a baby.
We loved our stay on Steffny's property! We received a warm greeting upon arrival. Our campsite was very cute, cozy, and private. The bathroom facilities are in the main house and kept very clean! The lavender garden was beautiful! The only draw back was that there were several small caterpillars in the tent at any given time and we squished one that fell on our bed while sleeping. Overall, would certainly stay there again!

I had an amazing stay at the number 2 tent site. The tent was comfortable and has a succulent view. Waking up surrounded by nature and seeing the sunrise right outside of the tent made it a perfect getaway. Highly recommend for a relaxing and unique experience!

Steffnyâs land was very nice and she was very welcoming! The glamping tent was nice and cool (on a hot weekend) and the bed was comfortable. We loved saying hi to the pets, especially the sweet cat. We would definitely stay again.
Such an amazing campsite, matched only by how lovely the host Steffny is! Absolutely loved staying here and only have good things to say. The tent and surroundings are beautifulâ Steffnyâs lavender farm is perched on the side of a mountain with stunning vistas and star viewing. Itâs also a close drive to Montgomery Forest and Lake Mendocino. More than anything, Steffny herself is so kind and welcoming. Canât wait to stay here again.
We loved Steffny's property. The tent was cute and clean. The land was beautiful, and Steffny was so welcoming and lovely. Do yourself a favor if you stay and wake up early enough to watch the sunrise over the mountains; it's magical. We will be returning.

We had a wonderful time camping on Steffnyâs beautiful farm! The tent was very comfortable and well furnished with everything we could have wanted. Steffny was a wonderful host and we canât wait to come back!
The site was amazing and everything we needed for a quick getaway from SF. Our Australian sheperd, Cloud loved Steffny and had the time of his life running around the lavender farm and the trails around the property. The farm pups and cat were also very welcoming. Steffny was an amazing host and we can't wait to organize another visit to Ukiah.
Steffny's lavender farm is a special place. Site 1 had wonderful views and it is a great spot to hang out on the deck and read a book. The canvas tent did a great job of keeping out bugs and the bed and linen were comfy and nice. The sound of the crickets and birds was magic. It was a short walk (100 yards or so) to the house where there was a nice bathroom and shower to use. Steffny is beyond a terrific host and even gave us extra cucumbers from her garden. Really relaxing getaway and redwood trees and Orr Hot Springs are just a few minutes down the road.
We had an absolutely incredible weekend here. Stefnny and her adorable dogs greeted us and made us feel right at home right from the beginning. Our setup was beyond our expectations (and far better than some hotels we've stayed at) with a spacious porch, comfortable bed, and lovely decorations. An added bonus was hanging out with the farm's sweet tabby cat.
Surrounded by golden rolling hills, trees, and the peaceful sounds of nature, we couldn't have asked for a more relaxing experience. And in the evening, pairing the cricket songs with the night's sky and blanket of stars -- we loved every moment.
I didnât expect that just running away for the weekend would turn into a dream vacation. Iâm still not sure it was real. The other guestsâ reviews say it all better than I can. I must say, "I miss you, beautiful tent at Running Creek Ranch" and "I miss you, Gumdrop, my tiny frog friend". But seriously, the real "star" is the host!!!! The accommodations could not have been more perfect!
What an incredible experience. So quiet and peaceful. The perfect relaxing get away. Steffnyâs property is absolutely gorgeous, and she is an amazing host. She helped us down to our tent with all of our stuff, and was very attentive. Great communication prior to us arriving, as well as when we were staying there. Everything was clean and kept up. Needless to say, we were very happy with our accommodations, and our stay on Steffnyâs property. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful land. I enjoyed the seclusion and shade of spot #2 down the hill. Comfortable bed, friendly cat visitor, and a nice bathroom and hot shower not too far away (it would be a bit steep uphill for those with mobility issues). Love the location near Orr Hot Springs and Montgomery Woods State Natural Reserve- a must visit!
This lavender farm is an utterly magical and deeply healing place. The views are stunning, the scents are beyond intoxicating, and Steffny is so warm and inviting - sheâs the ultimate host. Sheâs decorated everything to perfection and it couldnât be a more comfortable escape. Iâm eternally grateful for my time there, and hope to go back very soon.

A quick 2 night stay; with a wonderful sunrise turning into a rainy next day and night. It was dry and reminiscent of back yard camping in the cozy tent and luxurious bed. Listening to rain on the tent was mesmerizing, as the valley was filled with fog and it felt surreal to be remote yet protected.

Amazing stay! We just got back home and my only regret from my stay at Running Springs is that I didnât stay longer! Super relaxed and peaceful getaway with great hosts too!
Let me start off with saying, we will 100% be back and with friends. Steph and Alan are the nicest host and have a beautiful property. I've been dying to visit this site for the past 3 years and I'm kicking myself for not booking it earlier!
The site is just as described and they even provide a little table for your connivence which saved us from brining ours. Alan was kind enough to help us bring all our stuff to site #2 and back when we left.
Good to know
- The site is about 20 minutes from town
- Follow Steph's directions after booking, it'll get you to the house better than Google maps
- Bring water jugs or something to hold your water
- There was no service once we left Ukiah, plan accordingly

- Visit Montgomery Woods State Reserve (a very close drive)
- Oor hot springs (book well in advance, also vert close)
- Visit Ukiah (they have a cute downtown and a brewery)
- Visit a local winery near by
- Stargaze, the stars were unbelievable
