Beautiful views from the campsite. The site was easy to get to and easy to pull a car into. The picnic table and fire pit were nice. The bathrooms were also nice! Overall great stay.

Bathroom was in rough condition. Toilet overflowing and wet floor sign in place. Mold and spiderwebs in showers.

We loved our stay at Chinook RV Park! It was peaceful, quiet, and right by the water—such a relaxing spot. The Wi-Fi worked great, which was a nice bonus, and the whole place felt well cared for. Would definitely stay again if we’re in the area

Plain campground that has not been renovated in a long time. Couldn’t reach the sewer from our camper. Lots of locals living here and there was a domestic “incident” between three of them. Showers wouldn’t get hot.

If you are looking for up close and personal with your neighbors this is your place. If not then this is not it. We got there around 6pm for Memorial Day weekend and left the next morning by 7. You are parked nose to butt with about 8 feet from trailer to trailer. Community fire, picnic tables. People live there for sure.

We arrived late at night and left early in the morning, so we didn’t get to experience the campground too well. From what we saw it looked like a nice place, but the sites didn’t provide much privacy. The main bathrooms were out of service during our stay. We had no issues with late check in. Location is convenient, close to so many cool hikes in the Redwoods.

Let’s start with negatives so we can end on a positive note. There are no fire rings at each site & it gets chilly early, so having a small fire so you could eat dinner outside would be very nice. There are picnic tables at every other site. If you get lucky you get there early, you get the table- but your next-door neighbor has to do without. The sites are pull through that crisscross, so you are back to back with one neighbor, but front door to front door with your other. This means that the hookups are in the center of the site basically, it requires longer than normal hoses. This place is a mix of long-term residents with trailers that have tarps for roofs & visitors. It definitely doesn’t give off a good vibe. Now let’s talk about the worst part of it. The bathrooms are ancient. They clog easily and were closed for many hours over Memorial weekend. There was one small porta potty style bathroom for men and one for women in the tent area. In the main bathrooms, which were unusable, the stall dividers are extremely short, giving you very little privacy. I would not recommend going to this place until those bathrooms are bulldozed and modern bathrooms are put in-unless you have your own bathroom in your RV and you don’t care about the campground one. The office closes very early, which means you don’t have access to the recreation room they highlight. +’s: price, location, unofficial camp host guy, communal fire pit & grass sites. Could be nice place someday; needs work

We had a great stay! It was the perfect location to explore around the Redwood NP area with great views of Klamath River. Bathrooms were clean and close by with hot showers. The employees were very friendly and helpful. You can tell a lot of care is going into the grounds. Will definitely be back in the future!

This resort was very good! Clean, very nice people, felt very safe! Sites were level and right on the river. It was beautiful!! My son had a great time and I didn’t feel like I had to worry about him or leaving for the day to go explore.

The benefit to this campground was that it was very close to the redwoods, which was where we were wanting to visit. There was never anybody in the office and there was another couple there from Germany, who we went up having to try and help because there was nobody ever at the campground in the office.

Place is well maintained, the host was polite and due to off season she allowed us to move
Change camp sites once we arrived. It was march but we had ZERO bugs. The whole place is on nice grass that’s kept up well.

Beautiful spot along the river. Exactly what we signed up for. Everyone was helpful and kind at the site. Self check-in/out. We hit a sunny patch in the week so all the grass was nice and dry for us to camp on. Mostly an RV spot, but we tent camped. Would highly recommend if it's on the way!

The cabin must be cross-listed because Hipcamp info doesn't match what they say on site - check out is 10am. Directions and other details aren't sent via Hipcamp either.
But otherwise it was a lovely space and a great home base for exploring the surrounding areas!

C02) Riverview
The accommodations were a great fit for our family of five’s needs stopping just one night in the midst of trail hiking to get clean and sleep. The space was efficient with fresh sheets and comfortable bedding. We used the oven to reheat our leftovers and brewed coffee for the morning. Nice view of the river! Smooth independent check in and out process. Make sure you load directions while you have access, cell service and gps spotty in the area- but a nice luxury to have WiFi once we arrived there.
