Nice, private campsite with electrical hookup and water hose. We had a great night stay in stopover in Eureka - it started raining in the night, which was not a problem as the site is well drained.
Very good experience - would not hesitate to stay here again in the future!

Great spot for overnight stay. Easy access off hwy 101 and perfect for small trailer set up like ours. Site was clean as well as porta potty. Would definitely recommend!

We pulled in late and were able to set up easily and enjoy our dinner on the little camping porch. We grabbed a nearby mat to put under the tent to protect it from the gravel. The Porto is in good order. The location is near a road but itâs fairly quiet at night. We slept well and were on the road again easily.

We had a great stay. The spot is easily recognizable from the posted photos and with the given directions, easy to find. The option to have power, the seating area with prep table and porta potty were all appreciated. There were solar powered lights that helped light up the path to the porta potty at night which was a nice touch. We did not have great reception with AT&T so be aware. Also there was a bit more road noise than anticipated as the spot is next to a street. However it did not keep us up.

The site was easy to get to. It was level, clean, private, nicely set up with a seating area, counter, porta potty, water, electricity and trash cansâŚ.Andrew was responsive and offered help if needed. Would definitely stay again! Highly recommend!

The back of Andrewâs property is a tiny little magical forest. I really loved having access to that outdoor space! The camping amenities were helpful and well thought out. As others have mentioned, the camp spot is close to the road. From about 10:30pm to 6:30am there was no traffic and it was peaceful and whisper quiet. Great for a good nights sleep. Once the morning commuters started it was about what youâd expect being close to the road, but I was up and on my way soon after so it wasnât an issue. I wouldnât plan to sleep in and lounge in the morning, but it was perfect for a âRedwoods Rest Stopâ

We really enjoyed staying at this spot. The location was great for us - about 6 or 7 minutes to both downtown Eureka and Arcata. It is nicely set up for privacy, with some very nice amenities (lounging area, water, trash and recycling, and power - which we didnât use.) It has a country feel, and though on a moderate use road was very quiet at night. Weâll stay here again when in the area.

Great spot to spend a night! You can tell Andrew has put in some work to make this a comfortable spot and it definitely was. String lights, tables, chairs, etc. I was a bit nervous at first when I arrived with the road nearby but it definitely quieted down at night. Would absolutely recommend and stay again!

We stayed one night at the Redwoods Rest Stop near Eureka/Arcata and absolutely loved the peaceful setting. The site was clean, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful tall trees, which made for a relaxing and nature filled experience. The gravel driveway was easy to navigate, and we appreciated how private and tucked-away the spot felt.

This spot was perfect for us. We had a quick overnight in Eureka & this was right off the main road. It was already pretty level & graded, so we only needed one leveler for our roof top tent.

Stayed over Memorial Day weekend. This location was a good base camp for day trips to the Redwoods. We camped in a tent and recommend bringing a mover's blanket or similar to cushion between a tent and the gravel underneath. The area was quiet, road noise not bad and decreased at night. The dog and chickens were friendly and not intrusive. The hosts were easy to communicate with as well. Would recommend.

Exactly what we needed on our trip down the coast. Very easygoing host who was happy to let us come and go as we needed and provided a convenient site with power, water, and a trash can. It's a cute setup by the garden and we were grateful to refresh and recharge there. Our mosquito-attracting family had the tiny misfortune of arriving at dusk and got a few bites. Just wear long sleeves if you are in Eureka, CA in late May and enjoy Andrew's hidden gem if you can book it.

Great Stopover

Site was fairly small but okay for our 20 ft Toyota motorhome. Site is surrounded on two sides by beautiful grass and trees. The road sits right below the site and gets fairly heavy traffic during day but pretty quiet at night.
The host has a friendly dog that greeted us upon our arrival but wasn't seen afterwards. We were able to let our dogs off leash but kept them close because of the road.
I would recommend this site if you are visiting the Eureka/Arcata area since it is close to both plus the fee is very reasonable.
