Tucked away in a peaceful natural setting, this charming A-frame cabin is the perfect escape for anglers and outdoor enthusiasts. Just minutes away from the renowned Chetco River, you'll have access to some of the region's best fishing, known for its salmon and steelhead runs. Spend your mornings casting a line in crystal-clear waters known for salmon and steelhead, and your afternoons exploring nearby forest trails, swimming holes and scenic viewpoints. Whether you enjoy flyfishing, kayaking, hiking, or simply relaxing outdoors, this location offers something for everyone. After a rewarding day on the water, unwind on the deck, grill your catch and enjoy the peaceful sound of nature. Located within easy Reach of Brookings, you'll have access to supplies while still enjoying privacy and quiet. The cabin is off grid There is no Toilet No electricity You will need to supply the following: YOUR OWN WATER FIREWOOD 16 OUNCE PROPANE TANKS (for the campstove) BLANKETS AND BEDDING FLASHLIGHT STRICTLY FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING RULES FOR THE TOILET DO NOT THROW TOILET PAPER AFTER YOU HAVE PEED INTO THE TOILET [PUT IT IN THE TRASH IF YOU NEED TO FLUSH TOILET AFTER YOU HAVE TAKEN A NUMBER TWO YOU MUST FILL THE BACK TANK OF TOILET WITH WATER GROM JUGS PROVIDED AND USE THE PLUNGER IF NECESSARY TO FLUSH IF YOU CLOG THE TOILET YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PLUMBING BILL.

A-Frame was GREAT!
Steelhead Cabin
We usually camp off grid so knew exactly what to expect when booking this listing. We brought our own power, lights and toilet setup and had no issues. The drive in was so cool - we saw elk and turkeys and it was absolutely beautiful. Jess was super quick on communicating and the booking was easy and went smoothly. We were pleasantly surprised that despite not having power, there were lights available so all we had to do was bring in our power bank! The fireplace was AWESOME - put out great heat and easy to build/manage a fire. I wish you could see the river from the deck - but it was neat to walk down to the confluence of the river and the dry creek that backs up to state land. One thing to note - if you are not booking both sites - the tent/car camp site is on a bluff just above the A-Frame, so you could have someone right above you. We didn't but noticed that on our drive down to the cabin.
