Thank you to all of our campers for a great 2022 season. We look forward to seeing all of you - AND NEW CAMPERS, TOO!!!! - in 2023. We are currently "closed". However, if you have been here before and want to arrange a winter stay, please send us a message and we will make some special arrangements! Lost Valley Farm Camp is located 12 miles west of Chehalis, WA in the community of Boistfort. We are one hour from Olympia and about two hours from either Portland, OR, or Seattle, WA. Pacific Ocean beaches are 1.5 hours away. At one time, the Boistfort Valley had the largest single hop field in the world, owned by Herman Klaber. Interestingly, Mr. Klaber was returning from business in Europe, selling hops contracts and perished in the sinking of the Titanic. In 1970, The Shepard Family lovingly built their log cabin here and, for a time, raised cattle and hay. The current owner, Brett, purchased the property in 2009 and he and his family immediately set to creating an organic and sustainable farm here. We have diverse animal and plant stocks and our specialty is melons. Our farm is frequently visited by deer, coyote, wild turkey and elk. We have also occasionally seen otter and bobcat. You'll probably hear (and maybe see!) our resident owls and frogs. We have 5 lovely camp sites, which are described in our listing (below). They are far enough apart to feel private, but we also have areas that can be turned into a "group kitchen" if you want to reserve the ENTIRE camping area for a reunion, party, retreat, training, etc. We offer fresh produce, breakfast burritos, propane firebowls, saunas and other fun "extras". Please look in our listing for more info. Come recharge yourself in our little corner of God's Pocket!

A gem!
We loved camping at Galilee & Brett’s farm! A easy 1.5 hour drive from Portland for a relaxing weekend away. The fire pits we took advantage of both evenings. Couldn’t believe we were able to swim and use the rope swing at the local swimming hole - in October! The Sunday morning breakfast option was the cherry on top. Would definitely recommend and return!

The camping here was by far my favorite place to camp. The hosts are amazing and make you feel like your at home there. Even fresh wild flowers waiting on the table for me. It was so quiet and peaceful. Surrounded by nature and so many stars at night. And the bathrooms are clean which is always a good thing. Will definitely be back over and over again. Thank you Brett and Galilie you both are amazing! Thank you for all you do!!

We stayed at Lost Valley Farm camp over Labor Day weekend. We were in site 4, and it was really lovely - spacious and flat tent site, nice and shady (important for that early morning sun!), and was a short walk to the fire pit, grill, and toilet. We think it’s the best site :) We really felt right at home, and Galilee and Brett treated us like family - they provide fresh drinking (and washing) water at your site, and if you order produce ahead (do it! So delicious!) It’ll be waiting for you as well. We also ordered breakfast burritos for the last morning - best decision! They were delicious and made that morning so easy. We also did the farm tour and got to snack our way through the property. You pretty much get to try anything that’s ripe! Meeting the animals was also delightful. Highly recommend that experience. We did ours in the evening around 6pm - it lasted a little over an hour. The farm is a beautiful and peaceful place to relax and disconnect. (We did have service but put our phones away to enjoy the place.) We hope to come back! Highly recommend 👍

Our favorite place to camp!
This was our second time camping at Lost Valley and it was wonderful. The setting is so peaceful and beautiful. Galilee is a great host and she ensured our group had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved visiting the animals, especially Early! You'll also want to make sure that you purchase some produce from Galilee as everything is incredible. I couldn't recommend this site more and we can't wait to return soon!

As the other reviews indicate, Galilee and Brett are wonderful and accommodating hosts! They go over and above to make you comfortable and to enjoy your trip, from scrounging up items you forgot, to thoughtfully spacing guests and sharing their wonderful farm with everyone, especially the kids. We had a great time and will certainly be back!

Galilee and Brett’s farm was a wonderful place for us to visit. Our kids loved walking around and seeing the animals, and Galilee’s breakfast burritos were amazing. We picked up some fresh fruit on our way out. Brett and Galilee were so incredibly kind and generous to share their space. We’ll definitely be back.

Lovely farm, we had a wonderful stay and the produce we bought from the farm was absolutely incredible. The only negative was that there were so many ground bees around the site. I’m not sure if it is the time of year- early September, but it did detract from the experience. No one got stung though, they didn’t seem to want to sting us, but anyone who is afraid of bees may have an uncomfortable time.

Great space for van or tent camping
Had a wonderful, quick overnight camp to test out my Kelty Backroads Shelter and camping in my small van. Wonderful open, level field for the camp site with lots of trees and plenty of space and privacy. Galilee was very nice and accommodating with my breakfast burrito request. Everything was fresh from their farm. Would love to go back and explore a bit more! Definitely recommend.

Can’t Wait to Return
Galilee and Brett have built an awesome place. We only stayed one night but they made us feel welcome immediately. You could tell that both of them have put a lot of heart and soul into their farm and we felt lucky to learn all about it on our tour. Our kids loved the fire pit, the rope swing, meeting all the animals and seeing how they grew everything. The breakfast tacos were fantastic as were the fresh produce and eggs. Galilee gave us great tips on a nearby swimming hole to top things off. We are grateful for such a great finish to our weekly camper van trip.

We had a wonderful time at Galilee and Brett's oasis. The campsites are very spread out and very quiet. Great location too - very little if any noise from any roads. The star gazing was wonderful and is very good with their huge open meadow. Site 5 seemed to be the nicest as it's a sort of cul de sac and is quite large and private. Early the pig enjoyed our food scraps. Galilee is a wonderful and tireless host - she was up early doing farm work, and checking on hipcamp guests and taking farm produce orders. If you like having a fire at your own campsite (there are several communal fire pits), I'd recommend renting the propane campfire from them - the size of the fire from it is decent and it puts off a good amount of heat.

Galilee and Brett's farm is perfectly delightful.. from supplying beautifully mowed, private sites with bouquets on every picnic table, outhouses with reading material (!), wash stands with Meyers soap, firewood AND kindling for evening fire pit gathering to the most amusing farm animals... "Early," the most gregarious hog you've ever met, "Nutmeg," the soothing lap-eared rabbit (made setting up our tent stress free), and darling chicks and brand new ducks!! (Wow, one sentence. I guess we're enthusiastic!) Fabulously quite and far from ambient light, their location also provides quite a night sky show. Oh... and some nifty greenhouse gardening tips!

Always special and recharging
My 4th time here I think. A favorite for peace and quiet time with friends. This is a chill-with-a-book or watch-the-birds kinda place and I’m grateful for the limited connectivity. So many nice touches from Galilee and Brett’s efforts. I’ll be back!

Beautiful spot, hosts were fantastic. Appreciated that they took time to talk to us about their farm. I wish we had more time to spend, we just basically rolled in and put our feet up by the fire pit and trailed off to our tent. But a very relaxing stay, highly recommended! Thanks Galilee and Brett!

Beautiful farm oasis
This is a really special place. Galilee and Brett have created a beautiful oasis on their land for people to get away, reconnect with friends & family & nature, and soak up beauty on their farm. They are such wonderful stewards of the land and it is a gift that they open it up to share with others. The campsites are all well spaced out, private, and equipped with a picnic table, water for washing dishes, and all you need. We love the hand washing stations, the (always clean!) outhouses, and the communal fire pits to relax under the stars. This is the second year that a dear friend and I have met up here for a much-needed reunion and time together (the farm is perfectly halfway between Portland and Seattle!). Galilee remembered us, went out of her way to keep us in mind for cancellations so we could have two nights together, and made sure we had the perfect spot for our time together. We love Lost Valley Farm and can’t wait to be back again next year.

We loved our stay at Lost Valley Farm Camp. We were traveling down to central Oregon and we’re fortunate to stay here for a night. The sites are excellent and the personal attention from the welcome flowers to the personal tour made it for a wonderful stay. Our kids loved feeding Early the pig and swinging on the tree ropes. We look forward to returning soon.

We love this camp!
Galilee and Brett are the best hosts! Their farm is so beautiful and it is a great place for kids. They can wander and explore and play on tree swings, a pirate ship and more! The sites are really spread out so you have a lot of privacy and space. They are so kind and accommodating and the farm tour is always a must. We plan to come back year after year! It is especially fun to feed Early, the pig, our food scraps!

Fun farm camp with kids
Galilee and Brett's land is a 30 acre beautifully manicured farm with huge fields of wildflowers. The sites are generously spaced but the hosts are flexible able tent arrangements so you can feel very close to others camping with you or secluded if camping solo. It is a great place to take 7-10 year old children as there is a pirate ship, tree swings, and a farm tour that is worthwhile. At the time of our visit, they had a rabbit, bees, hens, ducks, and a pig. They grow vegetables for themselves and melons to sell. I do recommend the breakfast burrito for the morning. They supply both water for cooking and cleaning and water for drinking. The toilets are compost toilets and well maintained. I had zero mosquito bites, although other campers in our group had a few. The site is about 30 min to a grocery store and ice is not available on site. They do supply firewood which is perfectly cured. Seriously, I have never used better firewood -dry, lights easily, minimal smoke. Overall, the hosts were very kind and accommodating and the land was very well maintained. Hiking trails are a 30 min drive. This is a good stop for 1-2 nights. With only 5 sites total, you could easily book the whole place for you and friends/family. Pro tip: Site #5 is the most secluded and has its own swing. Site #1 is right next to the sauna (which can be accessed for an extra fee).

Best Hipcamp Experience
Lost Valley is a jewel of a Hipcamp. The owners thought of the camping experience in everything they designed from campsite seperation to bathroom facilities. Very open fields of tall grass and flowers to very mature forest. Galilee has provided the best site/host experience we have had at any Hipcamp. Will route ourselves to return.

We had such a fantastic time at Lost Valley! They have such a warm environment and are gracious and welcoming with whatever you need. From the trails nearby, to the creek with a kayak, Early the pig, bunnies, rope swings and more they have it all. 11/10 would recommend and will come back.
