Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home at some sites—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
One of rural Oregon's hidden gems, Camp Colton is a retreat and event center tucked away on 85 acres of forest about an hour Southeast of Portland. Enjoy hiking our trails, walking our creeks and swimming or canoeing in our creek-fed pond. This is a truly special setting to unplug and relax. Our listings offer something for everyone, including tent camping, RV sites, a tiny house, forest yurt and a cottage that sleeps up to six! All of our listings are pet friendly and allow campfires (burn ban permitting). Amenities for each listing vary from bare-bones to full kitchen and bath, so be sure to read each description carefully and choose according to your needs. ****PLEASE NOTE: IN ADDITION TO OUR ACCOMMODATIONS, WE ARE A WEDDING AND EVENT VENUE, SO YOU MAY HEAR MUSIC AND JOYFUL VOICES ACROSS THE CREEK LATE INTO THE EVENING DURING OUR PEAK SEASON (ROUGHLY MAY 1 - OCTOBER 31). If you prefer only to stay when there is no event on our large site, please inquire before requesting to book. Our guests love staying with us! Check out these comments from past guests: "This place was absolutely amazing! We cannot wait to come back!" "The host thought of everything - every little touch and comfort to make it feel so cozy and glamping-perfect." "The fire pit and chairs outside were excellent, and the stove inside kept it so cozy and warm in there. Plenty of firewood, lighter, blankets, water & lights - we wanted for nothing!" "It felt very remote and we could hear the water all night, but it’s actually not remote and so we appreciated that the camp was gated at night." "Such a great place!! We are going to recommend it to all our friends and can’t wait to get back. Thanks to Neal for being an excellent host when we arrived!!"

"Puffball" Cozy Forest Yurt
10/10!
I loved it here! We stayed for a wedding weekend and had the best time. Camp Colton is adorable. The yert was so cool, facilities are very nice and clean, there’s a pond and streams to explore. Neal was very helpful with showing us the yert and checking out. I would recommend this to everyone and can’t wait to visit again

SOUTH RV SITE
Beautiful place, unwelcoming staff
Overall, we enjoyed the Camp Colton property. It was quiet and peaceful in a lovely forest setting. The camp is normally reserved for weddings or retreats or other large events and people can reserve cabins or the RV site to stay if they’re part of those groups. While we visited for a wedding, we also live full-time in our RV and travel the country. Given our experience, I personally would not stay again if I wasn’t there for a wedding. The property is locked up when there is no event, so we had to remove a very heavy metal object blocking the bridge from non-wedding guests traveling on it, as well as go out and unlock the gate and unravel the chains each time we went in or out. This normally wouldn’t have bothered me, but on 2 occasions, we came back trying to get to our camper and we received an attitude from the staff member saying we couldn’t go past the bridge during events. We finally convinced her to move the metal object blocking the bridge as she rolled her eyes to move it. We were also told by staff on HipCamp where to find the laundry and bathroom, to then be told by different staff that RVers aren’t allowed to use those facilities as we tried to get into a locked door with our laundry still in the dryer. I shared that I felt unwelcome at the camp, and was given a 2 night refund and no one seemed to be interested in hearing what happened. Overall disappointing as I had really hoped for more, especially at $55 a night for an RV site… with no access to amenities.

"Chanterelle" Cozy Forest Yurt
Such a magical and gorgeous area. We were married there 10 years ago and it was so nice to be back. The yurt was comfy and perfect for our little getaway.

Amenities out the bootay!
This place was a lot bougier than we normally camp at. There were a ton of amenities, gender neutral bathrooms, (we love an inclusive sister) 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️♥️♥️. I loved the ability of being able to take a shower while camping and it NOT being coin op! There were even organic tampons in the bathroom which was just amazing! The campsite had a nice bed of moss on it and was really soft underfoot for my puppy. Everything was incredibly well maintained. The host was a cool dude who rode a wheel board thing. My wife even spotted a couple wood peckers and you could hear an owl at night. The whole place was dope and we’ll definitely look into staying for ren fair again next year!
