Wonderful staff, great experience all around. Great hiking river access, got to see a deer with its baby fawn. Just amazing can’t rave enough about what a wonderful time my family had here.

Took my 2 teens and 5 year old. Very tranquil and lots to explore. Easy walk down to river for an evening dip.
The boys loved walking around and found two different cherry trees and an apple tree.
The property owner and the camp host are terrific folks!
We are definitely coming back!!

This was a unique experience! We shared the fairway with only one other group, and felt that we had it to ourselves. We set up camp tucked away in the trees on the edge of the fairway and had a nice picnic bench and fire pit. Our dog loved running around the fairway and the view of the stars at night was incredible. We explored the river nearby which was shallow enough to walk in. We would definitely come back!

A new favorite spot! The camp host was very accommodating, helped us find out spot, and checked in daily to see if we had questions or needed anything. The river was a short walk away, the dogs loved it. The restroom was very clean and the camping site was lovely and private.

Great Place to dry camp. Roomy sites. Fun trails to explore with berries to eat along the way. Cool river spots awaits you at the end of some of the trails. Beautiful place. Anthony is an amazing host. Definitely hope to camp there again.

Great for stargazing and privacy. Clean bathrooms too! Plenty of room to roam. The crickets at night were a welcoming symphony of nature. Host was super nice, drove us to options of where to set up and let us know where he was located in case we forgot anything.

It’s only my second night with my minivan/camper. I visited during a heat advisory so I was excited to visit Elkhorn Acres, which offers easy river access. I found the entire experience to be easy, fun and relaxing! There were several other groups but there was plenty of distance between sites, offering plenty of privacy. I set up my tent, enjoyed some quiet time by the river, and slept great to the sound of crickets. There’s no cell signal, so it’s really nice to unplug from the world, read, hike, and fully immerse yourself in the relaxing scenery. would definitely stay here again, and look forward to coming back again soon!

We love this land so much. Lots to explore, saw snakes and turkeys and lizards and bunnies and so many birds. The river is the best for me and my boys.
Wish it were a bit cheaper here, but it's worth every penny.

Anthony and Gary were great hosts. They were available when needed but also gave us lots of privacy. The grounds are beautiful. It was very peaceful. Other campers were very pleasant and respectful. Port-a-potties were clean and stocked. The river access was really nice. We had a great time and would love to visit again.

Nice, quiet and peaceful. Host checked in once a day and asked if I needed anything. Delivered a large pile of wood that lasted all night and offered to get ice which I politely declined. Nice walking paths and plenty of room for my dogs to run and explore. This is my new quick getaway. Plenty county parks along the way to visit as well.

Surrounded by beautiful forest and hills, this place is a hidden gem. We stayed right off the Santiam river (fairway #10) which had several access points. The water during this time of year (August) was perfect for our little ones. There’s a fire ring if you don’t have a grill and even a picnic bench! Gary was an awesome host and even had firewood and ice for sale on demand. I highly suggest this for both tent and rv camping for families or individuals. Don’t forget to take a step outside during the night for some enchanted stargazing. 10/10.

The host was incredibly accommodating and thoughtful. We had lots of privacy. Great place to view the stars. Had lots of fun playing in the river, hunting for golf balls and eating blackberries.

We loved camping on the open Fairways letting the kids run and play free. Campground was quiet very spread out and our host Anthony was fantastic. Easy river access made beating the heat a breeze. Would highly recommend and will be returning.

Turns out golf courses make perfect campgrounds! Great open spaces for kids to run and play. Great shade on fairway 17 with clean bathrooms. We will for sure be coming back again!

The hosts really care about the campers, and were very kind in showing us the best spot for 100-degree days with plenty of shade. Super clean porta-potties, excellent stargazing, and a lazy section of river for dipping and cooling off. Blackberries, plums and apples growing on the large property. Perfect for lawn games if you pack those along, and the long walks were good.

Anthony offers an absolutely fabulous place to stay. The other reviews ring true - the portapotties are spotlessly clean, the privacy is amazing, and Anthony is a fantastic host. Regarding the latter, Anthony is accomodating, personable, and checks in without being intrusive. For anglers, there is a mile of river onsite, including a few nice riffles.

I wasn't sure what to expect camping at a former golf course, but I would definitely return here! It's rustic and rugged without being too far out (I drove from Portland). There are plenty of Porta potties around, and - as many others mentioned - the host will happily help you find your ideal spot on the land.
After booking, he quickly got in touch to let me know about losing cell service and any potential GPS discrepancies. My Starlink worked great for wifi, and I was able to charge my electric generator via a solar panel out in the sunny field each day. My dog absolutely loved just staring out in the distance and laying in the grass around our camp, plus long walks to explore the property. I hope we can make it back soon!

Wow! Great weekend at my new favorite hip camp! What’s stunning piece of land! Practically had the entire place to myself for a few days. My campsite was huge. Loved the path around the property! We enjoyed a sunrise walk every morning and afternoons at the river! Anthony and Gary were wonderful hosts! Will certainly be back!

We loved camping on the golf course.
There was plenty of room to let the dogs frolic around and
lots of privacy. The nights were peaceful and perfect for star gazing.
There is plenty of exploring to be done just walking the course and the river is only a short walk away.
The outhouse was squeaky clean too :)

My husband and our small dog just had the best long weekend at Anthony’s property. Talk about incredible hospitality! Anthony was so attentive and friendly. We had ample privacy and really felt like we had the place to ourselves, despite the fact others were camping. Well thought out, large sites with several portapotty bathrooms nearby. We spent an afternoon down by the river and felt so refreshed. Thank you for sharing your lovely property with us Anthony! We 100% will be back!
