Just outside of McMinnville you will be welcomed to an area of towering 60ft Ash, Alder, Maple, Oak and both Grand and Douglas Fir. The property is very secluded at the end of a wooded valley and only a few camping spots are opened. The tree canopy keeps the underbrush in check while providing the tree shadows you will seek for Bird watching, local animal life and quality of camping not found outside of the open camping area in the middle of the largest state park. Turning at the Dairy Queen on 99 before sheridan and 10 minutes later you are at the access drive, then to the right of the split on a 1/4 mile shared wooded drive is an open gate, a few trees and an entrance to an old logging road to take you down to a small grove with seclusion and gentle breezes coming from up the year round spring fed stream nearby. The road leads on down to the crossing being restored, some natural photo options and nothing but native oregon plants and shaded grass for a picnic. 2 hiking options are avalible, and one can be guided from there and at the far back end of the property is a barn and a few animals if they want to learn about small animals. The property is very secluded at the end of a wooded valley It is 21 acre forested lot behind a 20 acre forested lot in front and 3 100's acre parcelsaround it without direct view into the camping spots ( minus sunrise oaks that has one side exposed 100 feet away for max sun).A clearing in the trees just off the old logging road with a split center tree with an old long log to sit upon. great for a small group, wedding or just story telling.

David’s property was such a beautiful and remote location. With moss covered trees and the sounds of birds, we felt like we had the whole forest to ourselves. David welcomed us with fresh eggs, a fire already burning, and lots of inspiring tales of his time on the land. He was very friendly and respectful. Would certainly visit again and recommend to others.

David was an excellent host....friendly, responsive, and incredibly helpful. The property is in a beautiful forest, and we really appreciated his hospitality. The only thing I'd mention is that access to the campsite was much more challenging than we expected with our full-size truck and 22-foot camper, especially on the grassy access road. Thankfully, David came to our rescue and got us where we needed to be. I'd recommend future campers with larger rigs be prepared for a more challenging approach than the listing may suggest.

David was a terrific host. He greeted us on arrival and was available whenever needed, but also left us in perfect solitude otherwise. He has a great property and is actively working to improve and add to it. We can’t wait to see him bring his plans to life, and will certainly be back.

Absolutely amazing and beautiful site. Host was gracious and even let me take home peacock feathers! Definitely worth the visits for the site alone but our host David and his wife was so amazing and sweet. Not to far from town either! Will be coming back next year if not sooner
