From there, we started raising Black Angus in 2008 after spending four years cleaning up the fields to make it safe for animals. We strive to be good stewards with our land as we continue to work with Clackamas Soil and Water to make better working lands. An extension to the Honey Grove trail leads out of the property accessing a user maintained hiking/mountain biking trail with 1.5, 3, 5 and 7 mile loop options. Access to the Alsea River is located 1.5 miles from the property on Honey Grove Road or at nearby Clemmons Park. The guest cabin has two rooms and can sleep (4) guests comfortably and up to (6) guests. It contains (2) queen size beds, and one pull out couch. One bed is in a loft accessed by a ship ladder. There is a small kitchen and an un-attached bathhouse. The toilet is non-flush, composting. From the designated parking area there is a 200 foot walk along a gravel path to the cabin. Other features include a fire pit, wood fired sauna, and creek access for cold dips. Internet is available in the cabin. There is a Level 1 vehicle charger available for guests. The property also contains a host residence. The area around the residence is for the hosts. The cabin and the property are very quaint and inviting but also very rustic. Do not be surprised to see a few or many spiders, slugs and other bugs. There are occasional bunnies, wild turkeys, Garter Snakes by the ponds and newts on the trails. Please maintain good situational awareness when enjoying the property as structures and grounds may have some inherent hazards. The barn is off limits. Greenhouse and gardens are fine to explore as long as doors and gates are closed and dogs are kept out. Please refrain from harvesting produce and/or eggs unless accompanied or given permission from hosts directly.

Nearby nature attractions include Silver Falls State Park, The Oregon Gardens, Champoeg Park, Feyrer Park and many more. To the north you can enjoy the scenic town of Estacada and its many nearby city, county and state parks for boating, hiking, fishing, and site seeing. We are also a short, breath taking, hour and a half drive to either Hood River and Mount Hood recreational activities or the beautiful Oregon coast.

The property also contains a host residence. The area around the residence is for the hosts. The cabin and the property are very quaint and inviting but also very rustic. Do not be surprised to see a few or many spiders, slugs and other bugs. There are occasional bunnies, wild turkeys, Garter Snakes by the ponds and newts on the trails. Please maintain good situational awareness when enjoying the property as structures and grounds may have some inherent hazards. The barn is off limits. Greenhouse and gardens are fine to explore as long as doors and gates are closed and dogs are kept out. Our farm is nestled at the end of Honey Grove Valley in the lush coastal mountains. The creek meanders through our seven acre property. The north side contains a field, small orchard, greenhouses and barn. The south side is steep and wooded with healthy riparian. An extension to the Honey Grove trail leads out of the property accessing a user maintained hiking/mountain biking trail with 1.5, 3, 5 and 7 mile loop options. I highly recommend; I’ve stayed in multiple b&bs + camping locations in Portland, and this has by far been the best. This hipcamp is everything — it’s beyond cute, it’s in a good location, it has all the major amenities, and has the warmest host. We felt so safe here and so creative. The size was perfect for two people and one tiny dog, and it’s obvious that a great deal of care has been integrated into every detail of this airstream.

We have REALLY enjoyed our stay at beautiful Grace Acres. We’re still here, we have decided to extend our stay. Paula and Ed are super friendly and kind hosts. Ed went above and beyond to help us out with an electric cord to use so we could have electricity. The rv spot is flat and on gravel, so no muddy paws on our Pooch. Plus the resident farm dogs, Maverick and Lucy are just wonderful and so gentle. The rolling green views are magnificent and the stars at night, look close enough to touch. Thank you for allowing us to stay on your fabulous property!

Camp Colton is an awesome place to visit! Their property is large and has a lot of activities to explore (animal petting area, trails on the property, and a fishing pond). They've got a variety of awesome structures including cabins, a tiny home, yurts, and a communal covered fire pit gazebo. The Beehive cottage met my expectations perfectly, it was clean, warm, and tucked into the trees right by a creek that runs through the property. It was perfect for a quick getaway, while providing comfortable amenities during a cold and rainy Oregon fall evening. The bed is perfectly comfortable, and was made prior to my arrival. The host provided towels and linens, I didn't need to bring anything extra. Additionally, there is a covered back patio which is a perfect spot to sit out and listen to the babble of the creek and wildlife spot. I would recommend a stay here!

Take a dip in Cedar Creek, sit and read by one of the ponds, get your heart pumping on the hilly trails on the north side of the property, pick as many blackberries as you can find if in season. NON-NEGOTIABLE RULES: PACK IN PACK OUT: We do not have trash or recycling bins down in the creekside campground so please keep your waste contained and take it with you when you leave. Please do not throw any trash in the porta-potties. 4WD/AWD REQUIRED PAST THE BARN: The steep gravel roads can be tough for some cars and rigs (particularly on the way out) and consequently, can cause a lot of damage to our roads. So for everyone's safety, we have restricted access to only vehicles with 4WD or AWD only. Please do not message us asking us to advise on the vehicle you have. If someone in your party has a 2WD vehicle, they can park up in the entry lot and get shuttled down to the campsites in a 4WD vehicle. If we see a 2WD vehicle in the campground, we will ask you to leave and if we have to dig you out, we will charge a $200 fee. Thank you for respecting our policies and helping us maintain our space. DOG FRIENDLY: We are as dog friendly as it gets here. Unleashed dogs are allowed on this property down by the creek (on-leash required in and around the barn). If you have a fear of dogs, or have dogs that are not friendly with other people or fellow dogs, this probably isn't the right campground for you. Of course, we expect all dog owners to keep an eye on their pets so they don't disturb other campers or ingest anything they're not supposed to. QUIET HOURS: 10pm-9am. We ask that guests keep the noise (loud music and loud conversations) to a minimum between 10pm and 9am. We live onsite and will enforce these if we have to (please don't make us). NO FIREARMS, FIREWORKS OR ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE USE. This is not a late night party campsite. This property is best enjoyed in the daylight and we encourage campers who want to take full advantage of the scenery, will abide by the quiet hours, and maintain a safe space for all. OTHER INFO: CELL SERVICE: There is an AT&T tower on our property so that gets the best service by far. Verizon is pretty good. T-mobile does not get reception here. It’s easy to use, odor-free, and water-saving, with clear instructions provided. I live in the main house on the property, but you’ll have full privacy. The tiny home has its own entrance and outdoor space, and I won’t enter your area. Many guests say it feels like their own private cabin. Guests appreciate the rustic design, warm lighting, and efficient layout that makes the space feel larger than expected. Step outside to your patio for fresh air and quiet views, or explore the property and pick apples or grapes for a small taste of Oregon’s countryside. We have a one acre lot in the city. Our 22' Tipi with access to a full bathroom (shower, sink, toilet). You may also camp in your own tent or vehicle. Get a fire going under our 20' x 30' canvas shelter and cook dinner or work on crafts (we use this space to teach bushcraft and survival skills classes). Pick plums, cherries, pears, apples and wild blackberries when in season. It's a 1 minute walk to access the best coffee shop and cafe in town. Our camp feels a little like you are in the country while being within walking distance of large city parks (Avery Park and Willamette Park), swimming holes, grocery stores and restaurants. As an urban site, you may hear street traffic on Hwy 99, although it's subtle. There is urban light from both a street light and the storage units on the North border of the property. The Tipi itself offers some barrier to these lights, however, if you want to be in a really dark location and see all the stars, this is probably not the site for you. Also, during the rainy season, the tipi isn't waterproof. We are close to Oregon State University campus (15 min bike ride, 30 min walk) and easy access to I-5 corridor (about 15 min drive). We host you as a family of 3 including our young daughter who might try to get you to pick blackberries with her.
