Bridgeport Reservoir is a lake at the lower end of Bridgeport Valley in Mono County, California. Its earth-filled dam was constructed in 1923 by the Walker River Irrigation District, along the East Walker River. The campground and marina was built I-don't-know-how-long ago, but it sure is nice! About Us: Welcome to Bridgeport Reservoir Marina and Campground. Join us for the classic camping and fishing experience with unique views of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Within the Toiyabe National Forest, Bridgeport Reservoir Marina and Campground is conveniently located near two distinct hot spring areas. A true angler's paradise, the Reservoir has excellent trout fishing from spring through fall and is close by to multiple rivers for incredible fly fishing. A 35 minute drive on highway 120 will take you to the Tioga Pass Gate of Yosemite National Park. This gate is a great start to several different areas inside of the park that you may want to visit beyond that gate. Off-road enthusiasts would not have enough time in one visit to explore all of the 4x4 trails, abandoned mines, and sites in the area as well as the famous trail that brings you right to the Bodie Ghost Town. Climate and Ecosystem: At 6,400 feet (1,950 meters), this high desert climate has little to moderate tree coverage and gets hot during the days and cool at night. The conditions are much like Joshua Tree National Park or Alabama Hills camping area. During your visit, you will notice many flying insects that resemble mosquitos. These Chironomid are harmless and do not bite. On the contrary, the mosquito presence is very minimal. Swimming in the lake is possible usually between April to July.

We are not a luxury resort, and we do not try to be. What makes this place special is the open space, the quiet mornings, the scattered trees, the fresh coastal air, and the slower pace that makes you want to sit outside just a little longer. The Klamath River is just over the levee, only a short walk from camp. It is a beautiful place to fish, swim, explore, or simply sit and enjoy the water. The river is known for salmon and steelhead fishing, and a valid fishing license is required. During peak fishing season, especially in August and September, you may hear early morning activity from guests heading out to the river. We are located about 4 miles off Highway 101, close enough to be convenient but far enough away to feel tucked away from the rush. Wildlife is common in the area, so please secure your food and trash at night. There is so much to explore nearby. Guests love visiting Redwood National and State Parks, Trees of Mystery, Klamath River Jet Boat Tours, coastal viewpoints, hiking trails, biking routes, and quiet places to wander among the redwoods. A few things to know before you book: * Firewood is available on site. * Cell service can be spotty depending on your carrier. I really enjoyed my car camp stay at Terwer. Plenty of space, bathrooms/hot showers available., firewood onsite. The location was very prime too-right by the Klamath river, near Redwoods NP, as well as the beach. The hosts were very responsive and welcoming. I recommend to walk up the hill nearby to catch sunset off of the Klamath, it was stunning with the fog rolling in. I would definitely stay here again when I am down near that way. The hosts have expansion plans for the camp too, looking forward to see it grow!!

Our family had a great time at this site. Beth and her husband were such a great hosts. Our toddler was so happy feeding the fishes in the spring/pond and played with the dogs at the site. Additionally, Beth accommodated our big group of 8 and allowed us to pitch tents close to the Yurts where our family were staying at. My family was so happy with this trip. Thank you for hosting us! Great community spaces including clean full bathroom’s and showers, well maintained lawns and trails, and happy friendly campers. Marlisa is a one of a kind. She is friendly, helpful and present in case you need anything, but also gives plenty of space for you to enjoy yourself. She’s happy to tell the history of her exquisite property and what she uses it for year round. Highly recommend, we will be camping here again and again.

Such a beautiful campsite, super secluded and can hear the ocean from the site. Also the 2 dogs that I believe live on the property were so sweet and hung out with us for a while. Definitely need to come back here soon!

Weekend Trip to Williams Park campground

Marlisa met us when we arrived and was nothing short of wonderful. We had just driven 4 hours to purchase a new travel trailer and her campsite was our pit stop before driving the 4 hours back home. The new trailer didn’t come with a hose to connect to water and she was gracious enough to lend us one of hers. The facilities and campsite was immaculate and she was very accommodating.

While it’s an older campground, it is very well maintained and it appears as if the owners are upgrading the facilities. We experienced fabulous communication all throughout our visit and were met at the entrance before we could even park the RV to check in. We were promptly escorted to our site where we enjoyed a peaceful night with full hook ups. We would certainly stay again whenever passing through the Redwoods area. We wish the new owners great success!

The hosts are super accommodating and make you feel at home. The pond was a fun spot for the kids to cool off. And it was nice to be able to have our friends bring their dog.

We stayed two days at Courtney's camp area. Courtney was welcoming, helpful, and kind. As soon as we arrived, she and her family welcomed us with a big smile and asked how we were doing. She lent us a tent, because I had forgotten to pack part of my tent. She saved our day and experience. On our last day, she suggested places to visit around Klamath and other cities. The camping area was clean, quiet, and peaceful. I highly suggest this place.

Great night in a quiet orchard, well spaced from other campers, and easy to find. Picnic tables and fire pits were nice. Bathrooms were clean but hot water was not working in the outdoor shower and intermittent in the inside shower. Nearby airport is small so not an issue with noise.

Great spot! It was our second time staying here. There’s an enclosed shower now which was awesome after hiking all day. It’s a beautiful orchard and had a lot more amenities than other campsites.
