Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation. Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers. Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 150+ foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. We're located 40 min from Kanab, 50 min from Zion National Park and 2 hours from Grand Canyon North Rim, Bryce Canyon National Park and Page, AZ. We're on 7 acres of land (all accomodations are on ~2 acres of the land) in a very rural town but please note, we do have neighbors on both sides- one of which have cows, roosters and horses. We have 3 glamping tents and 1 tiny cabin on-site (all of which are available for booking) along with a few shared spaces amongst guests: 2 covered grilling areas, a centralized fire pit and an indoor bathhouse. We are currently in the process of adding 2 more accommodations, a silo and a cave, that will be available by Summer 2024. Each glamping tent and cabin is about 30 yards apart from one another. We provide all linens and towels for guests, AC/Heater units and hot/cold water year-round. We're located at the border of Utah and Arizona in Cane Beds, AZ. It's a very isolated area with 2-3 dining options and a large full-sized grocery store (Bee's Marketplace) less than 10 minutes away! Cane Beds, Arizona has beautiful sandstone formations & attractions such as nearby Water Canyon Trailhead, Gooseberry Mesa and Maxwell Park. The terrain is very similar to Zion National Park. This region is especially known for hiking, mountain biking and ATV trails. We're also conveniently located 40 min from Kanab, which is a town full of trails and hikes with a ton of great stops on the way (Paria Townsite, The Toadstools, Wirepass to Buckskin Gulch, The Wave, Grand Staircase Escalante). We love sharing local hikes and secret spots so if you'd like tips on the area, send us a message!

Around here, we like to call it Klamath’s Best Kept Secret. Terwer RV Park is the kind of place that is getting harder to find. It is simple, peaceful, and full of old-fashioned campground charm. We are not a luxury resort, and we do not try to be. What makes this place special is the open space, the quiet mornings, the scattered trees, the fresh coastal air, and the slower pace that makes you want to sit outside just a little longer. The Klamath River is just over the levee, only a short walk from camp. It is a beautiful place to fish, swim, explore, or simply sit and enjoy the water. The river is known for salmon and steelhead fishing, and a valid fishing license is required. During peak fishing season, especially in August and September, you may hear early morning activity from guests heading out to the river. We are located about 4 miles off Highway 101, close enough to be convenient but far enough away to feel tucked away from the rush. Wildlife is common in the area, so please secure your food and trash at night. There is so much to explore nearby. Guests love visiting Redwood National and State Parks, Trees of Mystery, Klamath River Jet Boat Tours, coastal viewpoints, hiking trails, biking routes, and quiet places to wander among the redwoods. A few things to know before you book: * Firewood is available on site. * Cell service can be spotty depending on your carrier. Free Wi-Fi is available and reaches most of the campground. * Electric vehicle charging is $20 per charge and must be arranged ahead of time. 50 amp service is limited, and guests must provide their own adapters. * Well-behaved pets are welcome. * Kids, laughter, bikes, campfires, and simple outdoor fun are always welcome. * We offer dry camping, 30 amp sites, and 50 amp pull-through sites. * Late arrivals are okay. From there, we started raising Black Angus in 2008 after spending four years cleaning up the fields to make it safe for animals. We strive to be good stewards with our land as we continue to work with Clackamas Soil and Water to make better working lands. WE ARE NOW OPEN FOR THE 2026 SEASON!! Family owned private campground since the 1940's. Very secluded and private. We offer a very unique experience that you will not find any public campground. I many ways we have a "private state park". Nice trails for hiking or biking. There is even a small "race track" in the bottom bowl near the creek. There are several direct access points to the creek for fishing or wading. We have miles of marked trails that are easy for everyone. Horseshoe Bend Main is a larger campground with four dispersed sites which a very spread out. This site has (3) 30 amp outlets for RV's. Porta potties are also provided. The Horseshoe Bend Creekside sites are designated spots that are on the West Panther creek bank. There are porta potties, but no electric or water.

This is one of my favorite places to stay. It's right on the river, so peaceful, fantastic sites, and so many thoughtful amenities. The host is so kind and does a great job making sure you have everything you need. We loved camping here, and can't recommend it enough.

This campground felt like a community. While we weren’t at our site much due to exploring nearby parks, whenever we were there we felt welcome. The hosts invited everyone to a smore campfire and the kids played on the fire swing whenever they could. This campsite is very conveniently located between the north and south parts of the Redwood National park, close to the ocean, and yet secluded enough to enjoy quiet time as well. Right before heading out the kids even got to pick some blackberries and we were gifted with a delicious blackberry crumble.

This place was great! Easy to get to, conveniently located, rustic feeling with everything you need. Great jumping point for my first time visiting the Redwoods! Most of all, the hosts were extremely welcoming, inclusive, and willing to go above and beyond for the guests. Hope to be back!!

Weekend Trip to Yosemite Colfax Spring

We had a really nice stay here. The campsite had a really pretty view of the valley and waterfall. The showers were impressively clean and well-maintained. There are propane fire places at all the sites you just need to bring your own propane. All the picnic tables have umbrellas with little lights, which was a really cute nice touch. A heads up for future visitors, it was very hot and sunny during our stay. That’s just the weather, not a reflection on the campsite at all. Just a heads up if traveling in the summer to bring sun protection, extra water, and maybe a shade canopy if you’re sensitive to heat.

What a great little place to stay! I wanted a slightly more civilized camping experience while I was in Santa Fe and this really fit the bill. The shared kitchen and shower facilities are clean and easily accessible. Highly recommend!

1 night at Getaway Ranch

Karyssa was really communicative of locating our campsite and was very responsive. She even left firewood for us! The campsite itself was gorgeous, waking up right next to the river was so peaceful. Although it got quite cool in the evening, the fans in the tent would definitely come in handy on hotter nights. Highly recommend packing extra bug spray, she did leave a candle but we needed the extra protection. Additionally be aware of the night critters, we had a raccoon friend walk right up to the picnic table and grab our trash while we were sitting less than 10 ft away at the bonfire! The censored lights were very helpful, the farm store had the supplies needed if you forgot something, the bathroom was rustic and all you need for a camping trip. The campsite is located at the bottom of a pretty steep & rocky hill, if you are driving a car that has low clearance you may have some trouble

Clean, secluded, so nice. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Shower house was clean and wonderful to use after a long day outside. Absolutely will be back. Got to see two river otters and caught a few fish. Truly the best weekend away from society. So lucky to have found this spot!! Thank you!!

3 nights at Molalla Ripple

This was our 3rd time visiting Molalla Ripple and it’s always an amazing experience. River was low in July but still so much fun. My son loved catching crawdads and climbing on the rocks. Site # 7 is gorgeous and big and private! We just left today and booked again for next month to come back with friends! Thank you for sharing your property with us. Can’t wait to come back asap.

3 nights at Molalla Ripple

This is our third time staying at Molalla Ripple and we are going again in late August. The place has new improvements every time we stay here. The host, James, is great! Super friendly and it’s clear he really cares about providing a nice space for campers to enjoy. He’s clearly putting money and labor back into the experience to make it better each time. The sites are close together but they have plenty of privacy and they’re right on the river. It’s amazing waking up to the sound of the river running by. You can fish right from your site. There’s a communal kitchen area with a working sink which is a great bonus. Doing dishes while camping is always a pain but this makes it way easier. I could go on and on but you get the idea. It’s an amazing place. Just book it already!
