Heritage Farms, located in the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, is a 5th-generation, family-owned Christmas tree farm founded in 1848. Camping began ten years ago. We offer six shelters and nine primitive tent sites. We are incredibly close to the various trails located across the Cuyahoga Valley. THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK! 1.WE DO NOT ALLOW FIREWOOD to be brought onto Heritage Farms property due to the potential risk to our crops and according to State and Federal Regulations. Firewood bundles may be purchased when making your reservations or upon arrival at the farm. 2. No vehicles may be driven into the camping area at any time. 3. All vehicles must remain in the designated parking lots 4. Campers are responsible for carrying their gear to their campsites—we provide wheeled carts for your use. 5. Ohio Primitive Camping licensing does not allow wheeled camping on Heritage Farms property. 6. Due to Summit County Health regulations, we cannot provide water. Please bring your own drinking and washing water. Or you may purchase 1-gallon jugs of water when you reserve your site or upon arrival. Our restrooms are porta Johns. 7. Tent sites (labeled A-J) have space for up to 3 tents. Shelter sites (numbered 1-6) have room for up to 2 additional tents. All sites are limited to a maximum of 6 campers 8. IMPORTANT: We are up 1.3 miles of dirt road (with 5-7+% grade in a few short stretches) and are not near public transportation so you will need your own vehicle! Be aware that the roads can be snowy, icy or muddy and rutted ( 4-wheel or All-trak recommended in certain times of year). We don’t guarantee the road will be plowed. We generally close for the season due to cold weather around Halloween and reopen just before Memorial Day. This is a non-smoking, no candle facility.

Turkey Hollow is nestled in the rolling hills of Holmes County Ohio. We are right on the edge of the largest Amish settlement in the nation. The primitive campground is in the corner of a small 40 acre farm owned by Matt Polcyn. He started the campground 13 years ago because of his love for nature and real camping. He enjoys traveling in many places in the States and the Caribbean islands and loves finding places off of the beaten path and not commercialized. Because of his interest and love for primitive camping he decided to open the campground in order to provide the same opportunity as a getaway primitive camping location that he tries to find when he travels. We now just added a shower in the trees, warm water rinse off area. (this is available between Memorial Day and until it get too cold again in the fall)

Judy was born in a little cabin just down the road. Judy & Don along with many family members have made cherished memories here over the years. We want to share its beauty with you and your family. Please consider, Clayton Geneva is a primitive campground, gravel drives and left as natural as possible. This is not a sculpted campsite or a concrete campground. The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile. Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy. Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

My husband and I with our 3 children had so much fun staying in a mini cabin at Strawberry Crossroads. They have some goats that would visit us in the morning, which was so fun. Grateful for the cleanliness of the bathrooms/showers. Having mattresses already on the beds was also very helpful. Felt very comfortable and safe there. Great place to camp!

We booked site 5 for the weekend and it was an amazing trip! The view was beautiful and the sunset was perfect from where we were. There were other campers around but everyone was quiet. The option to pre purchase wood was great and it was covered at our site when we arrived. My only negative was bonking my head on the wood in the shelter! Just be more careful than me and you’ll be okay😂 I would 100% return!!

Fantastic spot! Will definitely be back in the future. Great hosts, tons of privacy and river access is great! Bed was clean and comfy with no issues getting to sleep and the cabin stays plenty warm. If you have mobility issues do take note that there is a slightly (maybe 0.2 miles or so) of a walk to the campsites with a slightly steep hill but it wasn’t a big issue at all and the paths/signage are very well maintained. River access also has sand which makes it very nice when accessing. Overall 10/10 camping spot and worth every single penny! 👍

Easily one of the best camping experiences we’ve had. Absolutely stunning walk to the cabin, and our own private beach leading up to the stream. We added on a cooking bundle and firewood which we’re waiting for us upon arrival! I cannot recommend this spot enough, you will not regret it!

Weekend Trip to Baby Banana Slug Farm

We had a great time staying at the Mushroom Cabin! It was just the right balance of being in the woods and still in civilization. You are right near the host's home but the Mushroom Cabin was set back a bit and still felt private. Short drive to the coast and then up to Mendocino.

4 nights at Yosemite Westlake Camp

We had a great time using our Tiny Home in the Woods as a home base for Yosemite. Mac was a great host and the site had everything we could need for a roughing it without roughing it experience. Bunks were comfy and had microwave, mini fridge and heating/cooling.
