Welcome to Saddle Mountain, RV and Campground! We are located on 89 acres of forest land off Carmel Valley Road, just 5 miles from HWY 1. Nestled within oaks, Monterey pines, and redwoods, Saddle Mountain offers a great family friendly getaway for those seeking a break from the bustle of life. PLEASE NOTE, our RV and tent sites are pet friendly but YOU MUST ADD THE PET FEE EXTRA WHEN MAKING YOUR BOOKING. We charge $15 per pet and you can bring a maximum of 2 pets. On site seasonally heated pool (Mid May through Oct). ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: *Please continue reviewing/monitoring California Travel guidelines as they may change and affect your reservation* On site seasonally heated pool (seasonally), private hiking trail, playground, Foosball table and more. No refund for inclement weather during the Winter months. We provide complementary Wi-Fi in designated areas of the park. Drive-in Tent/Van Site

The site was clean and the host friendly and helpful. The shower was great, although I would recommend improving the ventilation (maybe add an exhaust fan) and replacing the broken shower hooks (there was only one usable hook). While our campsite worked fine for us, we were surprised by how steep and tight the access was, and if it were a busier season, there would be little to no privacy. We did not use the pool or sauna, so I have no feedback on that.

Walk-in Tent Site

Camping made simple

Tent camping here was 10/10! Tons of activities to do, close to everything, everything was very clean. There was no noise it was very tranquil, a great place for kids as well. We played ping pong and corn hole, and we had a great time! Thank you

RV Site Full Hookups - 30ft & Under

Winter is a nice time to be here

There were quite a few guests when I stayed over the weekend, but it was overall pretty quiet. I stayed in my class B camper during a weekend in early January Pros: Beautiful campground, reasonable prices, nice places to lounge and enjoy the space, lots of trees!!!!! and friendly service, nice hiking trail available to use, sauna was a nice plus. Nice location close to Carmel and Carmel Valley Village. Felt very safe and inviting. Dish washing area was very convenient. Cons: I would not say that the campsites are private at all. The wifi was poor even though I was close to the office - forget using it. I tethered from my phone. The bathroom has one toilet and one shower. I wonder how that works in the summer. The shower has very low water pressure and the temperature mixer is very sensitive - you have to be careful moving the dial too far. Would be nice if soap and shampoo was available, but there's not. I would like to come back again yet this winter if timing allows. It was a good place to catch up on some much needed rest.

Unusual Camping Experience.

My experience at Saddel Mountain in Carmel was quite an experience. I was camping during the big storm in the area and had a tree limb come down on my camper. It damaged the roof considerably, causing a leak into the living space. The staff at this facility were amazing. They took immediate action and helped patch the roof of my camper. I am forever grateful !! The campgrounds are in a beautiful scenic area of the Carmel Valley. The facility was very clean and comfortable. I will be returning to this spot again.
