Peaceful and convenient stay
Very peaceful site - spaces are close but there are not many and there were few others there midweek. My site (#1) was at the end and faced the shrine, which is subtly lit at night— that and the wildlife (deer, coyotes, Great Horned owls and lots of birds and ground squirrels) made for relaxing and meditative evenings. Site was easy to get into — I was able to pull through in my small teardrop trailer (although you will need to detach and park so as not to disturb the neighboring property). Didn’t get a chance to try the wine or cider but will be back to do so! Even if it’s closed, there’s a deck and chairs to lounge on there. It’s walking distance to
Felton’s main drag (Hwy 9) if you don’t mind the hill on the way back. John is a kind and responsive host, and it was a pleasure to chat with him and meet Bodhi. One warning, while clean and comfortable, the bathroom is a trek, so be sure you have that situation handled. I don’t know that I’d want to walk that it the middle of the night. No shower, but that’s clearly stated. Close to hiking and biking and all the nature you could want. I’m in the area often and will definitely be back!
