The site offers: - A 20ft modern container home with one queen sofa bed, large screen with Apple TV, kitchen, patio, fridge, microwave, cooktop, shower, and toilet. - A custom, outdoor kitchen, and bar for entertaining with gas BBQ, fridge freezer, sink with hot and cold filtered water, Sonos sound system. - Large gas fire pit and seating area. - One A Frame eco cabin with option for one king size day bed OR two singles, A twin mattress can also fit in the cabin when in the two singles configuration. The cabin has electricity, fan and heating for colder nights. - One very cute retro airstream style 1950's trailer with a twin bed for a couple or one person. - Space for 1-2 additional tents. The site looks down into a private and secluded redwood and oak forest with trails for small hikes into the redwood fairy circles or all the way down to the creek. The glamping site is on a sunny flat area surrounded by steep terrain up to a ridgeline and down to the creek. The creek is accessible although the final route requires a rope down so may not be suitable for everyone. Within 15-20 min drive you will find almost all major attractions in the Santa Cruz area including The Mistery Spot, Nisene Marks State Forest, Capitola Pier, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, and many famous surf breaks from Capitola to The Point, The Hook, Steamer Lane and many more., as well as many amazing mountain bike trails. There are also several Santa Cruz Mountain wineries to explore in a 3- 5 mile radius. Further afield you will find Monterey Bay Aquarium and the coastal beaches north up to San Francisco Bay ( 1 hour 30 mins north) and down to Big Sur about 1 hour 20 mins south. We ask all our visitors to be respectful of the environment, our wildlife, and our neighbors. Please drive slowly and respect the quiet times: between 9.30 pm and 8.30 am. We are a 5 acre property and home surrounded by tall redwood and oak trees. Very green and lots of shade. These are the amenities/facilities you will have free access to: Pool, Pool chairs and umbrellas, Deck area with sunset view, Trampolines, and hammocks. There is not cooking allowed by or at any of the common areas, due to flies and critters. Cooking and eating is only allowed by your sites and not in any common areas: Hammocks, Trampolines, Pool Area, tables, sink, and deck please follow this rule because we want to prevent our shared areas to be fly and bug infested. We are still working on ridding the flies and cleaning. (please try to bring prepackaged food or something easy. If anything you can drive 10 minutes to nearby food and grocery). In the past we let people cook and eat around the pool but now our whole property is fly infested and I find scattered leftovers on the ground. Thanks for understanding. THERE IS A 1-2 MINUTE HIKE TO THE CAMPSITES 1-5! Poolside campsites are closer to the parking and are bigger. CHECK OUT OUR NEW LODGING: This property is my home that I live in with my 2 kids. It is a rustic and homey vibe, definitely not a hotel. We want you to come knowing what to expect. Our property offers a pool, and trampolines for the kids. We have a deck patio area that overlooks an amazing view of the redwood forest. Most of our guests are those that come from foreign countries and they all LOVE the property. There are several wonderful wineries within 5 miles and great hiking and biking trails. The one and only store in the mountains is the Summit Store and just 3 miles down Summit Road. They have plenty of the essentials plus an excellent deli, wine collection and coffee bar. The campsite was nice and private and a good view of a redwood forested valley. It is conveniently close to the parking and a wifi hotspot (about a 30 yard walk down the hill), but the forest cover obscures the view of the house/workshop in such a way that makes you feel like you're in nature. Propane campfile, water spigot, picnic table, and electric outlet, and compost toilet were all sufficient to make tent camping easier. Matt was super nice and helpful when we had questions or issues.

This was my and my husband's first time trying hipcamp I have to say this was a wonderful first experience, we really loved the Yurt and how incredibly peaceful the location is. We were only able to stay for one night but the loved the setup of the yurt, everything is so thoughtful and cozy and the quiet is exactly the relaxing getaway we needed. Great place! The views were amazing and they have patio furniture, firepits etc. The hammock was awesome. I have a 5 month old doberman and he was off leash - he loved the place. I will definitely go back. Its 15 min from Los Gatos incase you need to go into town and has its own little network of trails. Superb

Had a fantastic time. Did not really know what to expect but it definitely exceeded our expectations. We stayed over Fourth of July weekend and they had a live band and a pizza contest and it was so much fun. The hosts are absolutely lovely and kind, the fellow campers were very cool and fun to talk with. There are so many beautiful unique details. It seems the hosts want to delight and surprise and asked that photos aren’t shared so I will keep the photos to myself and let it be a wonderful surprise for those who book. Can’t wait to return.

Exceptional stay! We arrived on July 4th in a 29-foot RV for the final night of our week-long road trip, and it was the perfect finale. The land is absolutely amazing, beautifully laid out with walking paths, multiple scenic levels, and fun hidden features throughout. RV essentials, like water and power, were provided. The giant shared kitchen and wood-fired pizza oven were a massive hit, especially for our kids (ages 4 and 8) who loved making their own pizzas. They also had a blast exploring and getting to brush the llamas! Yeyen and Farbod are the nicest hosts. Highly recommended, we will definitely return!

Weekend Trip to Salty Fox Retreat @ Peaceful Valley

We loved the peaceful retreat of Laura's property. It is close enough to everything beaches, shopping, golfing, yet removed enough from the main road that you feel like you are in the country. We enjoyed quiet mornings and cozying up by the fire at night. We came with a group that had multiple travel trailers ranging from 19' to 26' and had zero issues with parking. Great place and we will be back!

What an otherworldly imaginative campground! It's like staying at an amusement park without the chaos. All the plentiful decor and scenery in the park make it worth the stay. The added very comfortable bathrooms and showers outpace any campground I've ever been to before. The management is so warm, kind, and accommodating and the facilities make this a campground you don't even need to take the normal stuff needed for camping in any average grounds. They provide so much including a communal kitchen with an amazing grill, sink, refrigerator, utensils, glassware, pots, pans, etc, and even a smash burger grill (blacktop) which we used. The details in the decor are an amazement in themselves, and overall an amazing place to stay. It's like the Santa Cruz style Ritz Carlton of campgrounds.

About

Set at the edge of Santa Cruz, Natural Bridges State Beach draws a variety of day visitors who come to marvel at its natural wonders. Best known for the picturesque sea arches (only one of three still stand), the 65-acre park and beach offer excellent lookout spots for viewing marine mammals, including migrating whales. Come at low tide for easy access to the tide pools, or peer through binoculars to observe herons and egrets stalking the salt marsh. Natural Bridges is a day-use park only, but a beachfront campground is available nearby at New Brighton State Beach.

When to go

Natural Bridges State Beach is open daily from 8am to sunset, and the Visitor Center is open Friday to Monday, 11am to 4pm. Docents offer a close-up look at colorful sea anemones and sea stars during low tides. Time your visit for late fall into winter to see thousands of monarchs, which overwinter here in the eucalyptus grove. While the butterflies may safely roost in the trees until spring, they typically begin arriving in mid-October and leave by mid-February, or even as early as January. The Migration Festival takes place on the second Saturday in February.

Know before you go

Leashed dogs are only allowed on pavement and in the picnic area, not on the beach or trails (except for service animals).
Tables, barbecues, water faucets, and restroom facilities are available in the picnic area. Fires are not allowed on the beach.
The boardwalk leading to the monarch observation deck is wheelchair- and stroller-accessible, but it is closed to bicycles, skates, and skateboards.
Please do not touch or otherwise harm the fragile monarch butterflies.
Do not touch or take anything in the tide pools, which are within a Marine Protected Area.
