Reviews said how great this place was, had my concerns, I should have just booked elsewhere. with Animals roaming free- I thought was cute until the animals defecated on our tent. There were areas that had strong urine smells, being next to a chicken coop, was some stench but tolerable. there are bugs/flies there- was abit insufferable! bcuz our tent was destroyed we were loaned a small tent from hosts, but that tent was dirty/flies inside tent just made it the worst camping experience.
Campground is near owners' home, you have to walk up a hill, in a dirt path (not easy to walk back and forth) to get to the bathroom/kitchen. bathroom had cobwebs all over, didn't use the kitchen (but did have appliances and stuff to cook). was nice to have starry view but flies/bugs all around just couldn't enjoy. Trip was cut short, stayed 1 nt and had to throw away tent/tarp.

Very kind hosts and beautiful property. Amenities are up a steep hillside so keep in mind for any accessibility issues. Loved being amongst the animals just be wary for the goat poop 🐐 otherwise would def recommend to anyone

Safe relaxing space. Free ranging goats, turkeys and dogs, all friendly, added to the peaceful nature of this place. We only needed a hot shower and nice place to sleep each night as we were up and out early and back late, So this worked well for us. Ani was a very responsive host. Bradly greeted us when we arrived and pointed out what we needed to know. You are guests on their land and we felt welcomed and they respected our privacy. Their WiFi worked great.
Side note: I didn’t know goats had such a vocal range! We were entertained.

The goats Murphy and Bam Bam were characters! They kept us entertained. All the animals, dogs, cats, and even the tortoise liked to be pet. The shower was nice and misty and had a nice sink with great smelling soap. And the compostable toilet smelled better than pit toilets or porta potties. The whole family and their guests were friendly and welcoming. One thing to consider is, it is for animal lovers to enjoy. If you have problems with animals or redirecting animals (when they are all up in your business) you may not have the great time we did.

One's experience here depends on how much you want to interact with free-roaming goats, turkeys, dogs, and cats. They were definitely amusing, but just be prepared and secure your stuff from curious creatures. The roamers include 2 male goats, one of which is the breeding male, who was naturally quite smelly. If you don't plan to spend a lot on of time here and just need a crash pad, it will probably serve your purpose. Overall, the cleanliness of the entire place could be improved.

Best Hipcamp we’ve ever been to! Gorgeous view, lovely hosts, and lots of well-behaved and sweet animals to love. The location was natural but not too remote, and was the perfect peaceful camping getaway. Thank you to Ani and Bradley for sharing their land with us.

AMAZING. The camp offers an amazing experience. The owner structured the space to safely host tents for travelers and animals. The goats were a show (shoutout to Murphy!!), along with the extremely friendly dogs and turkeys. The camp is clean, well organized and offers many amenities: shared outside kitchen (with fridge/freezer, stove), fireplace, toilet/shower, tree house and more!! Amazing experience. Would definitely come back

An absolutely beautiful, serene, and charming place to camp, filled with lots of happy, healthy animals. I loved camping here, and I'm disappointed i didn't get to spend more time on the property. I'll definitely be camping here again, at the next opportunity.

This was our first Hipcamp, we enjoyed our 3 night trip with our toddler and it was close to Santa Cruz and other beaches. Our toddler loved interacting with all the animals, playing with the trampoline and exploring the treehouse. The hot shower and outdoor kitchen with nice valley views were great. The hosts were wonderful and accommodating, would recommend and stay again!

We had an amazing time at this camp! Bradley and Ani are such welcoming hosts, as are the many furry and feathery friends around the property. The shower was amazing and it was so helpful to have a kitchen available. We would absolutely come back!

The family are warm, the space is bountiful and the managerie of wildlife endlessly giving and entertaining. If you live in a city and want to be reminded of something closer to natural, or if you simply seek to be close to the richness of life when you camp, don't skip on this place. :)

It was a very relaxing and peaceful experience for our family. The children had a good time being surrounded by animals, the goats the guinea pigs, the turkeys. It was a nice place to disconnect from the busy city life. The father and son duo were the most gracious hosts. Our family throughly enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Such an amazing place to stay! The animals were a delight to be around, shower was a blessing and then whole place is just super beautiful. Highly recommend, will be staying here again if we come through Santa Cruz in the future.

I got in after dark and loved waking up to the cutest farm animals (baby goats, chickens, turkeys, Guinea pigs!). Communication was easy, WiFi worked well, and it was a peaceful place to rest. I’d stay here again!

Absolutely loved my stay here. It was special waking up next to 4 baby goats, and having cute animals come to say hello. They are clearly loved and well taken care of. Falling asleep to the sound of owls, frogs, and coyotes was my favorite part.

Beautiful setting! And quiet despite the road nearby. Chirping frogs, rustling leaves, and a starry night. The goats are friendly, and the fire pit with fairy lights on the hill were a calm place to sit.
I admit the farm smell was a bit strong, but I got used to it. I think the ambiance outweighs the little discomfort of smell.

This is our second time here - and it was even better than the first as the baby goats are growing and able to roam around the property as well..so we spent most of the day just watching the "goat TV" - and it was awesome!
The outdoor kitchen is great, as is the firepit area - both fun spots to hang out, relax and enjoy the view.
If you're into goats and turkeys and dogs and cats, this is definitely the place for you - we highly recommend it :)
