Peaceful place with nice views.
Such a peaceful area to camp in! Not too far from Capitola and Santa Cruz. We stayed at site 3, which was the only one available for the night we needed. I would have liked the campsites to be a little more spread out, but they weren’t terribly close. - I think I would like site 4 next time, since it was more on the edge, but also closer to the portable toilets.
At first, it seemed like we had the whole campground/area to ourselves, but all three other sites ended up being occupied, before we came back (from our visit to Roaring Camp in Felton for “Sequoias at Night”).
Thankfully, the occupants in 2 and 4 were quiet. But the occupants in site 1 were quite loud and throwing their football near my vehicle. - We also came back to the fire pit having hot coals in it. I didn’t want to go to bed with that situation taking place, so I ended up making multiple trips to the sink with a bucket that I had, to cool down the coals/wood. That took painstakingly long, because the water was trickling out of the faucet. — Laura was kind enough to help (over the phone via Hipcamp messages) walk me through trying to fix the issue of the low water pressure, but my attempts failed to fix it. She wasn’t able to come that night, due to being out of town. But she did come the next morning, when we were close to leaving, and she was able to fix the water pressure issue. (She was also very kind and thankful for all of my efforts.)
(Forgot to mention the many holes from animals, not sure what kind.)
