Nestled in a canopy of redwoods, less than 10 miles from the beach sits a private and cozy campground. Fern Ridge Flats combines the best of Santa Cruz county. Abundant trees and misty mornings await you at our property in Aptos. Equipped with electricity, water, and a picnic table for your convenience. There are trails on the land for you to explore, animals, and nature to dive into. *************** Smoking and the use of drugs are strictly prohibited. This is a safe and quiet neighborhood with many families including my own. Please do not request to book if you have the intention of partying or using illegal substances. If these rules are violated, local authorities will be called and you will be removed from the campsite. *************** The campsite is less than a 5 minute walk from the parking spot but is relatively steep. Although it is paved it is not recommended for anyone with mobility issues. *************** As an added precaution to protect the lush landscape, the firepit at the campsite utilizes clean burning propane. We chose a burner that closely replicates the size and heat of a wood to enhance our campers' experience.Nestled in a canopy of redwoods, and only 5 miles from the beach and the Forest of Nisene Marks State Park sits a private and cozy campground. Fern Ridge Flats combines the best of Santa Cruz county. Abundant trees and misty mornings await you at our property in Aptos. Equipped with electricity, water, and a picnic table for your convenience. There are trails on the land for you to explore, animals and nature to experience. While staying at the secluded Fern Ridge Flats, It’s easy to forget that only a 10 minute drive gets you to downtown Aptos with trendy new restaurants and coffee shops to enjoy. Get away from it all and reconnect with nature at Fern Ridge Flats.

Amazing retreat getaway!
Matt came out to meet us and give us a few tips on easier unloading of our gear! Campsite was just what we were looking for! Quiet, totally private, and ready upon our arrival so we could set up our tent! The trees and view were incredible.

Really beautiful site - we enjoyed the simplicity, comfort and privacy. Matt was a very responsive host. We were worried about transporting all of our gear to the site but there's a spot where you can pull your car in to load and unload that's close to the site so you don't have to take gear up and down the steep part of the path.

Super private/convenient campsite
Highly recommend this campsite. It’s very quiet and secluded feeling and has a nice set up, including string lights on a timer for ambiance in the evening/morning, a propane fire pit, and a compostable toilet. This is camping on easy mode, in the best way. Beautiful nature surround with redwoods and lots of birds. Heard only one car go by on the road nearby in hours of hanging out at night by the campfire. Super happy with our experience and Matt was cool, friendly and a great host.

The site was super pretty with a beautiful trail and foliage all around. The people were super nice, it was secluded, overall enjoyed my stay.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT, it’s peaceful and calming there’s a nice little hike in the back and you feel at home and it’s a great way to get closer to your partner!
