PLEASE READ Hello all! If you're looking for some glamping with creature comforts, while just being 10 minutes away from restaurants. This is the place for you. We are a 5 acre property and home surrounded by tall redwood and oak trees. Very green and lots of shade. These are the amenities/facilities you will have free access to: Pool, Pool chairs and umbrellas, Deck area with sunset view, Trampolines, and hammocks. There is not cooking allowed by or at any of the common areas, due to flies and critters. Cooking and eating is only allowed by your sites and not in any common areas: Hammocks, Trampolines, Pool Area, tables, sink, and deck please follow this rule because we want to prevent our shared areas to be fly and bug infested. We are still working on ridding the flies and cleaning. (please try to bring prepackaged food or something easy. If anything you can drive 10 minutes to nearby food and grocery). In the past we let people cook and eat around the pool but now our whole property is fly infested and I find scattered leftovers on the ground. Thanks for understanding. THERE IS A 1-2 MINUTE HIKE TO THE CAMPSITES 1-5! Poolside campsites are closer to the parking and are bigger. CHECK OUT OUR NEW LODGING: This property is my home that I live in with my 2 kids. It is a rustic and homey vibe, definitely not a hotel. We want you to come knowing what to expect. Our property offers a pool, and trampolines for the kids. We have a deck patio area that overlooks an amazing view of the redwood forest. Most of our guests are those that come from foreign countries and they all LOVE the property. I love leaving a great impression of our area. CAMPGROUND GUIDELINES Pack out your trash. Rinse feet before using the pool. No pool toys or floaties. Always supervise kids. Don’t sit on chair edges or pool cover box. Use stumps or your own table for cooking (not ours). Keep the area clean—no food scraps on the ground. No dogs in the pool area; leashes and cleanup required. No eating in rooms or cabin. Check out on the deck. No smoking (vapes only, away from common areas). Propane grills only—no open flames or campfires. Thanks for helping us keep this place awesome!

Your designated parking space is a 6-minute walk from the campsite (downhill on arrival, then back uphill (steep) in the forest), so we recommend traveling light. Our campsite is nestled within the same property as our charming little farm. 2 nights at Kings Mountain Camp w/ ocean views

This place is amazing!!! We stayed in the apartment and had an awesome view of the ocean although it’s mostly just clouds but it’s beautiful! Especially during sunset. The whole apartment was super clean and nice, and had an amazing kitchen with all of the essentials for cooking. She also gave us 4 eggs from the chickens on the farms, as well as a fire starting kit to make a bonfire right outside of the apartment. The outdoor area is super nice with a hot tub, amazing view, seating area and fire pit. Would definitely recommend this place!!!! Sana was also super helpful and responsive.

Beautiful camp site nestled in the redwoods, perfect for a little getaway. Matt was very communicative and friendly too. We went with our toddler and had to be careful with some of the poison ivy and narrow paths but she loved it and didn’t want to leave. Would definitely come back!

Redwood Paradise is a magical place! The host, her son and dog were amazing and incredibly kind and welcoming. The mix of serene redwoods, classical piano music played by Marshall (host’s son), and Peruvian coffee in the morning make the ambience for this retreat truly unique. We were at site 2 which had beautiful evening lighting coming in just after 6 PM. Make sure your tent faces the west :) We highly recommend Redwood Paradise!

I was here just a few weeks ago and couldn’t wait to come back—so I did! That’s how much I love this spot. This time, I brought my mom and nephew for their very first camping trip, and it was perfect. The site is only about 15 minutes from town, which makes it super easy to grab anything you might’ve forgotten. There’s water available for washing dishes (so we only had to bring drinking water), and the composting toilet has been moved further from the campfire—yay! It’s still very convenient and easy to access (even with kids), but now there’s even more space to gather and relax around the fire. Such a thoughtful improvement. Can’t wait to come back again! It’s the perfect low effort, accessible camping. You still get the privacy, the redwoods, the peacefulness… but without all the effort it takes to camp in more remote places.

Weekend Trip to Nearby Getaway - Dogs Welcome!

This was such an incredible camping experience! Nancy is a wonderful host, and the property has more than you could ask for. Our kids loved the pets, the neighbors, and the property. It felt super safe, so our kids ran free the entire time. We never used the shower, but the toilet was fantastic, super clean, and fully functional. It was so great to have a fridge and propane fire with a large grill. We had everything we could ask for, plus Nancy seemed to be there precisely when we needed her, but gave us our space and privacy otherwise. It was a magical experience for our group of 10. I couldn’t recommend it enough. You could stay on the property for a full weekend and never run out of things to do. Check out the nearby farm stands and say hi to the neighbors, because they are all really lovely.

Weekend Trip to Whiskey Hill Barn and Camp

This spot was perfect for our combined Bachelor/ette camping weekend! We had 26 people there and the space was perfect. The barn was stocked with so many great cooking & serving dishes/utensils, so we were able to make a great buffet for every meal. And the indoor bathroom and shower was really nice as an addition to the porta potty for such a big group. There was plenty of space on site for our cars and tents and even an RV. I feel we could've spread out even more! We also hosted an "Olympics" and had plenty of space for volleyball and a huge team relay. There are so many thoughtful details, like great lighting at night, the huge banquet picnic table for family meals, tons of Adirondacks and fire pits for hanging out at, cute decor throughout the barn. As some other commenters mentioned, you can hear the cars on the road nearby, but this really didn't bother us. It wasn't that loud and it was worth the convenience of being so close to the road and to nearby shops (groceries, ice, gas, etc). We loved our stay here and are already hoping to host another event here in the future.

We love our stay and the host was friendly. To reach this tent it was bit of walk but just treat is like short hike. the tent was clean and cozy. it was so private as it is not closed to other tent. if you are lucky you can see the ocean (when it is no foggy) and sunset was beautiful. Will definitely visit again.

This is camping made easy. No need to bring your cooking supplies, stoves, barbeque and dinnerwares ! We have them all. If you like to be social and have bonfire and have a nice chat with fellow campers , this is the place for you. We are committed to provide good beds and beddings because we know how important good sleep is (even when you camp!) so we just spent time, money and energy to replace all of our camping mattresses with memory foam mattresses!!! We had people swear that this is the best bed they ever slept in. The campground is located in a serene oak grove area of the property. Its a peaceful getaway with an abundance of bird varieties and occasional wild turkeys passing through. Take a stroll around our 5-acre property and catch a breathtaking sunset from the hillside. We're only 11 minutes away from Mount Madonna State Park and just 10 minutes from a local healthy grocery store and yoga studio. The beautiful Pajaro Dunes coastal area is just a 15-minute drive away, and the Santa Cruz Fairground is only two minutes away. Our location is surrounded by family friendly farms such as Gizdich ranch and nurseries, hence why it's considered the salad bowl of the United States There are plenty of activities to enjoy nearby, including horseback riding at Mount Madonna Stable, Mount Madonna Retreat Center, hiking at Mount Madonna State Park, wine tastings at various wineries with stunning views, kayaking at Elkhorn Slough or any beaches, yoga at Watsonville Yoga or onsite, swimming, scuba diving in Monterey, visiting the Hanoman temple at Mount Madonna retreat center, and attending any events at the Santa Cruz Fairground. The property has 3 stalls for hot showers, 1 hand washing sink, 3 flushable toilettes, 1 communal outdoor kitchen with supplies of cookwares, dishes, mugs, glasses, utensils, pots and pans, coffee mugs, and 1 sink with hot water, 3 fire pits (2 of them is fire burning and 1 of them is propane), camping stoves, 1 gas barbeque and there is an electricity in the communal kitchen area. Propane for fireplace is included and Firewoods are available for sale. Welcome to the Amaya Creek Redwood Campground! We are deep in the Santa Cruz mountains and it’s rustic so be prepared! The road is all paved but it can be narrow, bumpy and steep in some areas. Be sure to follow our directions to bypass the road closure! There is no cell phone service in some areas. PLEASE NOTE, we do not have a trash service for the campground, we require all campers to PACK OUT THEIR TRASH with them! We have 40 acres of redwood forest and two creeks running through including the Amaya Creek which serves the boundary of our property at the end of Amayak Creek Trail. There’s also a small waterfall off the Amaya Creek Trail, but it may dry out during the summer. Enjoy hiking, creeks and small waterfall exploration, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, star gazing, relaxation, meditation and more. Our campground has running water from a natural spring, Men and Women's Restrooms each with 2 toilets and 1 FREE hot water shower, utility shed with sink and hot water, and an outdoor amphitheater. The kitchen and washer/dryer is Staff Only not for campers. . Most campsites allow 4-6 guests maximum with 1 car included in the nightly rate. Each additional vehicle is $15 per day and will be added at checkout once you add the correct number of vehicles you will be bringing. Pets are $10 per day, 1 pet per group ONLY. Please add this as an extra at the time of booking, you will see the option to add extras once you begin the checkout process. Dogs must be on leash at all times! Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. No drugs of any kind including marijuana allowed. No loud music allowed. This is a private property so no visitors are allowed, only paid guests. Instructions for use are available and should you need assistance - we are here for you! Experience 2 campsites, BYOT (bring your own tent) or rent one from us) or an onsite Bell tent. The Bell tent contains carpeted padded flooring, camp lights, shelving, 2 cots with bedding, plus a memory foam camping mattress! The BYOT site's measurement is 10' x 10' . Both sites have shaded areas, and picnic tables. A shower and a compost toilet are available. Enjoy a designated smoking/vaping spot, multiple benches, and swings, a "grounding" spot, birding, water fountains and art. A no noise policy, by the county, occurs at 9 pm. Due to a high risk fire zone, no open fires or cooking available. Due to the proximity of the tents to Vega Rd, sounds from cars can be experienced. For enhanced protection we ask that a waiver be signed. Security cameras are on site. We continually improve/maintain the property and therefore we can be seen outside. The terrain is hilly and staying on paths limits poison oak exposure. Vega Vortex has been called a Park and Machu Picchu due to the amphitheater landscaping of terracing. Practicing permaculture, a diversity of pollinating plants/ flowers, organic garden and art features exist. We are situated in a rural setting, with sounds of sheep, goats, chickens, wild turkeys and many birds nestled between both counties. About

Located along the Monterey coast, Manresa State Beach features a long and wide stretch of beach backed by bluffs, with sweeping views of the Santa Cruz Mountains and the Monterey Bay Peninsula. Surfing, fishing, beach fun, and wildlife spotting are popular, though the beach is typically less crowded than others in the area. Look for dolphins, whales, and sea otters frolicking in the waves, or sea birds in the skies—or, with a sportfishing license, campers can catch starry flounder, California halibut, or barred surfperch. The bluffs above the beach offer picnic tables and a seasonal campground (mid-May to September) at Manresa Upland, with more than 60 walk-in, pet-friendly, tent-only campsites with fire pits, picnic tables, food storage lockers, restrooms, and showers.

Notable campgrounds

Best for space: Campsites at the Willow Camps are the most spread out of all campsites at Manresa.
Best for privacy and views: The Lupine Camps offer ocean views, with trees that provide privacy and shade for campers.
Best for beach access: The Bay Camps campsites are situated closest to the trail down to the beach.

Tips for snagging a campsite

Reserve a campsite as soon as you know your dates, especially over the summer. Sites can be reserved at least two days in advance and up to six months in advance.
If plans are flexible, try to visit early or late in the season, or during the week.
If you don’t have reservations, plan to show up early to see if any unreserved sites are available.

When to go

Summers are popular at Manresa, as the campground is only open from mid-May to October. Junior Lifeguard programs are typically offered in June and July. In summer, expect morning fog to burn off by the afternoon. Look for migrating gray whales from December through May, when you're also likely to see the biggest surf. In early spring, snowy plovers hatch on the beach and should not be disturbed.

Know before you go

This stretch of ocean is known for its frigid water temperatures, dangerous rip currents, and deep offshore dropoffs. Only experienced surfers should be in the water.
Fires are only permitted in fire rings. Do not collect firewood, which is instead available for purchase.
Beach wheelchairs are available and should be reserved at least five days in advance.
Alcohol is permitted in the Manresa campground, but not the beach or in day-use areas.
Dogs are permitted in the campground and on the beach, but must be leashed, attended to, and kept inside at night.
Fishing licenses are required for anglers 16 and older.

Willow Camps

Hike in campgrounds are the best! No noisy vehicles crowding & pulling in late at night. Kids can ride bikes without a worry. Just remember to bring your wagon to carry your gear from the unloading zone to your site. Sites are good size, some offer more shade & privacy. We camped at #53: it was private enough, had room for a hammock, afternoon shade & close to bathroom. Next time we'll try the sites closer to the bluff.

It's a long haul to some of the camp sites from the parking lot, so try to pack light and bundle. Also, surf is amazing here, but it can get kind of rippy with strong currents. Just be careful and have fun
