My husband and I were trying out a camper van rental and driving down the coast. This spot is fantastic - it has everything you would have at a typical campground - except the crowds! It’s quiet and peaceful with pretty views of strawberry fields and Ray and Robin are lovely hosts; they gave us fresh eggs! As others have said there is a beautiful beach about an 8 min walk away that is dog friendly. We would definitely stay there again!

Nice peaceful spot. Lots of distance from the other campsite, and a lovely view of the strawberries. There’s a little road noise in the site closer to the road, but it’s only occasional, and not too loud – all the trees help with that. And the location was very convenient for a visit to Aptos. Would come back.

My husband and I had such an amazing weekend! Robin welcomed us with freshly baked cookies and eggs from her ‘girls’.
Robin and Ray are great hosts and have thought of everything for the campsite. It’s well-appointed with water, and electrical hookups, a sink, garbage cans and recycling, a fire pit, chairs and a picnic table.
The sites are very spacious with lovely field views and the beach is less than an 8 minute walk.
We can’t wait to return!

The host is very welcoming. We were met on arrival and they checked in with us during our stay. This is our third stay. The Valley View sites are comfortable with easy access. We had all three for a week-long family vacation. Highlights while we were there:
- Fresh eggs!

- Carmel
- Portola-Crespi Cross
- Santa Cruz
-Moss Landing
- The Beach is a ten-minute walk
- Hiking, biking, parasailing and kayaking

What a diamond! Beautiful view from the campsite of the fields. Minutes to walk to the beach! Robin come out to greet us when we arrived with fresh eggs. Our friends came out with their trailer the next day and were able to camp right next to us. Robin baked homemade oatmeal cookies that afternoon. They were gone in 5 minutes! A truly great experience! Exceptional hosts! Can’t wait to go back!

The host is very friendly, welcoming you as you arrive and checking in periodically during the stay.
The sites are very comfortable - graded flat, with water and power for RV's, overlooking a valley and strawberry fields in the distance.
There is so much to do from this location. During our stay, we traveled to Monterey, Santa Cruz, Carmel, Nisene Marks State Park, the Portola-Crespi Cross, Sand City (for paragliding), rode bikes, and many hours on the beach ten minutes away.
We will be visiting again!

Site 2 - Strawberries and Surf
Our stay at Robin and Ray’s was perfect. If you’re looking for a fantastic location (walking distance to a beautiful beach) and close to all the nearby attractions without being overly busy, this is it. Robin and Ray are tremendous hosts. They treated our family with so much kindness and were a major bright spot during our stay. Thank you both! I would encourage anyone to stay here and I hope we get the opportunity to return in the future.

This is a simple site with drinking water, unlimited firewood and a nice fire pit. It’s a two minute drive to one of the most beautiful beaches along this coastline. The noise from the road wasn’t too bad. Robin and Ray are incredibly kind people.

Incredible location with incredible hosts! Very warm, welcoming, and down to earth - for example they invited our kids to feed the chickens and helped us out with some cookware we forgot. Only downside is proximity to road (as mentioned in their description) but ear plugs easily solves that at night

Camping in the Strawberry Fields!

The host (Ray) was very welcoming! He gave us a quick walk through the property, where to access the beach and where the local mart was located. The bathroom was clean. The views of the Strawberry fields are awesome and very peaceful. We enjoyed the fresh eggs and cookies provided by our hosts. Great cell coverage.

We loved waking up to the mist and soft pink sky! It was so quiet. Watching the birds and enjoying the gorgeous view of the Strawberry Fields. As the sun came out the the colors changed. Beautiful!

The spot was beautiful and the hosts were so kind. The directions they provided were easy to follow and arrived kind of late at night which the hosts were accommodating of. They have a couple of RV spots with electrical and drinking water available. Their property was relatively easy to get to, and it wasn’t far from a lot of things we wanted to do.

The best beach in NoCal is La Selva!! Only a couple of blocks and you have the beautiful sand and surf of the Monterey Bay…
Staying at Robins and Rays is like going home- very comfortable, quiet and close to the beach (almost a private beach)!

We loved staying with Robin and Ray. It felt rural but we were on the edge of a neighborhood. It was quiet and dark. We overlooked the valley and watched the strawberry fields being worked. It is a quick and easy walk to the beach. Robin and Ray were warm and welcoming and gave us privacy. We would definitely stay again.

Robin and Ray are amazing hosts. The strawberry fields view is gorgeous and peaceful. These hosts provide a table with a cloth, chairs, firepit and even firewood! We stayed for 5 days and loved just hanging at the site and seeing the gorgeous valley, yet the beach is so close as are great towns for exploring. Be sure to order some of Robin's tasty treats! When back in this area, we'll stay here again.

Great spot with excellent views of the strawberry fields. Walked down to the beautiful beach (short walk) several times. Amazing hosts and very accommodating. Some traffic noise in the mornings but not too bad. Would recommend. Thank you!

Hosts are friendly and it is truly walking distance to a gorgeous beach. Pictures of valley view do not include that you are right next to a massive carport with lots of trucks / industrial equipment. You’re also a stones throw from the main home and other campers also in the driveway. However the KOA down the street is twice the price :) also note this is a working agricultural farm like they say in the description. Overall I wouldn’t come back simply because I felt like I was in a driveway. We spent most of the trip outside of the site and couldn’t really do the sit and relax on the property. I suggest including pictures of the whole property so there’s no surprises when campers arrive. They also rented the property for wedding parking without a heads up to us. It ultimately was not a major issue but did take away from the “you don’t have neighbors” feeling

First time I've ever been greeted with a quiche! This is a nice little spot. We stayed in the spot that faces the Strawberry Fields. The beach is a short walk from this hip camp. One of the nicest beaches we've been on. Picturesque and quiet. I would stay here again.

This is a new parking site on the property. Hosts have done the extra work to add amenities like electricity and water.
When we arrived, Robin brought us freshly baked cookies and farm eggs. All delicious.
We enjoyed the view of the strawberry fields and the proximity to the beach.
