Camp with Goats!
75$ a night you expect a bit more
If you are a light sleeper be warned. There is alot of animals that you hear when you sleep and I don't mean the goats they were honestly fine, we would hear something, don't know what siff our tent alot throughout the night. Now looking back it probably was one of their working dogs. But we would also hear other animals. Nevertheless still scared us. Despite the powerlines being beautiful they do make a good amount of noise if you are close to them. Lastly the bathroom is a homemade porta potty which is the best way i could describe it, which is fine but with the price of 75$ a night you do expect a bit more.

Support local farmers/Unique & fun
I loved this Hipcamp! Tent/car camper. If you climb to top of property there are sweeping views of the valley, and if clear, the ocean. So many lovely animals and I particularly enjoyed the pair of Great Pyrenees dogs that protect the livestock. Such a fun and affectionate breed, good with strangers. There is food left out to feed the amazing array of goat breeds. The hosts enjoy sharing information about the farm and are very accommodating. Small farmers have an extremely difficult time surviving since they don't get the huge breaks that big Ag does. People who are willing to work this hard and love animals and farming this much are a dying breed. Support these small farms and help preserve this gorgeous land as farmland instead of losing even more acreage to development. This farm relies on camper income.
Fantastic location very close to Monterey and and a reasonable drive to Santa Cruz boardwalk and redwoods. Children would love an authentic farm experience. I can hardly wait to return. Thank you Norris and Roberta for sharing your farm with us city folk. It's a real treat!
Camp with Goats!
Nice but not the quietest of places
The site has a lot of positives: clean bathrooms, good views, friendly dogs, lots of goats to pet, a pool table, really nice hosts. And we were able to book on short notice.
My issue is noise. It’s not bad, but I’m picky. The nearby high tension power lines make little electrical “zzt-zzt” sounds. And there was a fair amount of road noise even late at night.
Despite my complaint, I would stay there again.
