Zak and all the camp staff were so friendly! And kept the campsite very tidy and stocked. While you can see 2 of the other sites from site 1, it still felt plenty private :) we would definitely recommend and stay again!

Zak is a great host! Easy to get in touch with, facilities were well maintained, their animals are adorable, and we love having plenty of wood available to keep the fire going at night.

I brought my family camping, for many of them it was their first time. Site 3 was great for being out of the way from the bathrooms but close enough you don’t have to hike to it. There are two composting toilets, with a watering cleaning station between them. The shower is farther away but the size was perfect and the hot water was great! The shower could use some storage shelving. Zack and his crew were extremely friendly and welcoming. If we were ever low on anything they were quick to refill. The staff were very attentive but definitely gave you your space and privacy. One drawback of Site 3, it’s not leveled the best, but if you situate your self well, it’s not the biggest of drawbacks. The biggest drawback I would address is the amount of poison oak surrounding and sometimes being within the campsite itself. Be aware of it and keep your young ones close. I would definitely come back but not necessarily with the young ones. Thanks again Zack and crew for a great weekend!

I absolutely loved camping at this spot! The trip was pretty last minute, but everything worked out perfectly. One thing I really appreciated was that there was firewood available on site, along with fire starters, which made setting up the campfire so easy. We stayed at Spot 4, and it felt very private compared to the other sites. Having that extra privacy made the whole experience even better and more relaxing. Another huge plus was the shower, it had hot water, which was amazing after a day outdoors. It’s such a small thing, but it really made a difference in comfort. There was some poison oak around the area, but it was very manageable. As long as you stayed on the designated paths, it wasn’t an issue at all. Overall, everything exceeded my expectations, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and well equipped camping experience

Nice campground, quite and peaceful with some nice touches! Loved the dishes and pots and pans provided. There is a shower with hot water which is a big plus! It is close to a road so it could be a bit noisy at night

Great hosts. They met us for a quick orientation and even had a box of supplies for us. Not sure if everyone gets that or it was for us since we were the only ones there, but it was very nice and thoughtful. Site 1 and two are next to each other but spaced to keep as separate as possible. The surroundings make the three sites feel like you are in the woods - even though when we thought about it, we are in the "front yard.". It's 100 yards from the road or anything else. The shower is up a hill and a nice addition. Nothing fancy, but clearly thought out and it works (warm water too). The ground on site 1 is close to flat, but not entirely. The benches, camp fire space, and grill are a nice addition and at every site. We went on a rainy weekend and I would return and recommend. It was one of the nicer basic places I have stayed. The pros: very private, I never saw or heard other campers. The sunset was lovely and we got to hear lots of wildlife, including a bald eagle landing on a tree in our site. The cons: site was heavily sloped. My water bottles and pens kept rolling off the picnic table and the chairs we tried to set up around the fire pit actually overbalanced. (Note: tent pad was perfectly flat). This site is accurately marked as a walk-in but it was a substantial uphill walk, not a quick jaunt. The bathrooms are also a substantial downhill distance from the site. The hosts drove our stuff up for us, but the distance meant I could not carry my food crate back out to the car to store my food at night. With no food locker at the site, I was extremely concerned about animals raiding my food supply, and I did have to chase a mouse away from the picnic table (but thankfully nothing bigger.)

I loved camping on Zak’s land, it was so beautiful and perfectly secluded. We saw wild turkey and deer! Such great hosts, too. We would 100% recommend.

The camp site is truly glorious--very pretty. The outhouses were lovely, and many fun features (nice chairs, and firewood, and TIKI torches! and Citronella candles! All very lovely--but mostly--camping under the trees was really lovely.

Very pretty property with great hosts. We were not able to get in until very late and they very graciously accommodated us. They have water and wood that smells amazing when burned and a nice box of goodies including popcorn and colored fire packs. One note is the sites are next to each other and not visually separated, similar to state parks.

What a wonderful site and a great host. The area is lovely and well maintained and lots of thoughtful amenities, like the box of “things you forgot” and plenty of firewood. Zak was friendly and flexible. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back.

Great spot, helpful hosts, but be aware of time of year when you go or check with host about overwhelming amount of caterpillars. Was there September 27th and had caterpillars on all the surfaces when arriving there. Couldn't use the table and had many of them land on our tent and try to cocoon. If creepy crawlies are not your thing id check with host. Luckily we had an awning so wasn't too worried about them landing on us while hanging out. Made for a hard clean up with all the locals critters. Spot wasn't as private as we had thought, other sites were about 40ish feet away. So similar to a state park set up. You'll see people around you and hear them but not shoulder to shoulder. Rest of the experience was nice, outhouse close by site 1, fire wood provided, friendly staff/host, and nice surroundings.

Our camp hosts were so kind and welcoming. They even helped to haul our stuff up to site 4, which is a huge site, very private, and has a beautiful view through the trees. Zak left us a shovel if we wanted to hack away any poison oak which and we managed to avoid it all. The free firewood was a plus as our small car was packed! The bathrooms do kinda feel like they’re in the middle of other people’s campsites which felt a little awkward to navigate at night, but there is a more private one at the top of the hill which is a good option. We were only a short drive to the ocean too so the location was great. Thanks for hosting us!

I brought my family here this past weekend (8/22-8/24) and it was incredible. Zak (and his son) were such good hosts. The site had everything that we needed and even more so. This was the perfect experience for my kids who were getting used to camping but it would be a great experience for any level of camper. We plan on coming back again. Thank you Zak and family for making it such a memorable experience and one that my young ones want to do again!

Stayed for one night and it was quite pleasant. Hosts were welcoming and overall no complaints! Site 3 does seem to be the best as it is farthest from the road but there was barely any cars so not that big of a deal.

Zak and his wife were both very accommodating and very kind. Their properties absolutely beautiful and you wouldn’t honestly even know that you weren’t in the middle of nowhere. It’s close enough to where you could get somewhere when you need to, but you could also just get lost in the sound of nature as well. I absolutely love that It’s more of a compost and natural type of campsite, it just makes you notice how much stuff we really don’t need. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Excellent camping spot. We had the whole place ourselves. Camped for two nights with my three boys ages 5,7 and 9. Zak kept us stocked on firewood and plenty of extra items provided in case you forget something. Bathrooms are nice and clean.
