In this leafy paradise lives gopher tortoises (they act like gophers, but are tortoises!), alligators, black bears, and the skunk ape, also known as the “stink ape,” which bears an uncanny resemblance to bigfoot. Areas of recreation include Ocean Pond--a fave place for boaters, skiiers, and campers, and Olustee Beach for swimming, fishing, and picnicking. The park is also open to hunters and fishermen with permits. With so much land to explore in this National Forest, we wouldn’t be surprised if bigfoot was hiding in there!

A small but unique piece of land that was given to a family in the 1920s by the Florida Railroad Company. It stayed in the family until we purchased it. It is unique because the surrounding area does not have much tree coverage. This is due to the ground underneath, which is a vein of grey marl. This is why the area is called the Allapattah (an Indian word for Alligator) Flats. We are hoping that our county stays the way it is so people will know what Old Florida really looks like. Minutes from I-95, but surrounded by the Allapattah Flats Wildlife Management Preserve. Located on Martin Hwy, which was recently designated as a Florida Scenic Hwy. Fifteen minutes to Stuart and thirty minutes to West Palm Beach, a world away from the hustle and bustle. We realize that people also love Florida for Disney and tropical paradises but if that is what you want then this may not be your kind of place. Depending on the season and availability we may have local honey and/or firewood available for purchase.

This property is home to a farm/nursery operation and has a large pond on the west side. The pond is Spring-fed at the headwaters of Marsh Branch Creek which begins at our property and flows West about five miles in to Tampa Bay. Approximately 33 private acres allows for plenty of space between our campsites. Property is home to a farm with hundreds of fruit trees- Lychee, Mango, Starfruit, Papaya, Guava). Red Mombin, and thousands of banana plants. Fishing can be great, wildlife and bird watching too. Fenced and gated for safety, this old historic nursery property has good vibes and plenty to offer. Until you see it - you really may not understand. Parts of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas. The nursery has plenty of trees, and some fields -the large pond is surrounded by cattails and marsh/wetlands and has fish (Bass, Tilapia, Sunfish, Catfish). Several species of wildlife have been seen on the property. We think the property is lovely, and definitely want you to enjoy your camping experience!

Oh WoW!!!!! I do not know where to start. This place is ABSOLUTELY hands DOWN one of the BEST places I’ve ever stayed. From the Serenity and Peace you feel to the Beauty of the Outdoors is an ALL in ONE Package!!! I absolutely loved it here. The facilities are so well maintained. Bathrooms were very clean, shower was hot and refreshing, and the little hut or common area had a keurig for coffee and supplies so we could cook as if we were in our own home. I’ll be honest though, with all those lovely gems, I still cooked over my campfire. You gotta have at least one campfire meal. Not only is this place a Godsend, the owner Amanda is amazing. She took time to hike up to our campsite to say hello and welcome us to her place of serenity. Had some laughs with us and gave us her direct line in case there was anything we needed. She took the time to make sure we would have the best experience ever. Shoot, Amanda even accommodated our neighbors who stayed in Yurt #7 and let them have a birthday party for their 13 yr old boy. This is rare because there is very limited parking and spots first go to guest. She went over and beyond though so this lil man could celebrate his BIG 13 with his family and friends. We even celebrated with them. I was kinda sad they left early though. Totally understand they didn’t want to stay because the weather forecast was predicting heavy thunderstorms. I definitely get it. The location was small and cozy. Every spot has a beautiful view of the water. We were lucky enough to get a spot right along the water's edge. The pier was perfect. Our son had a great time fishing. The staff was amazing, sweet and attentive. They had a few quaint little spots to sit and relax. The bathrooms and showers were very clean! We took our Husky and so the mini dog park was perfect to let her off leash for a bit as she's used to roaming a big property. Can't wait to go back.

The property was beautiful! The accommodations were all very nice from the bathrooms and kitchen area to the campsites themselves. Very clean and very beautiful. Highly recommend taking the kayak trip and bringing some floaties/boogie boards for the river. Amanda is a great communicator and extremely nice, 10/10 recommend and will definitely be coming back! The campsites are spaced out nicely so they aren’t too far away from one another but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet, great for groups or couples!

Sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico are hard to beat.
