A small but unique piece of land that was given to a family in the 1920s by the Florida Railroad Company. It stayed in the family until we purchased it. It is unique because the surrounding area does not have much tree coverage. This is due to the ground underneath, which is a vein of grey marl. This is why the area is called the Allapattah (an Indian word for Alligator) Flats. We are hoping that our county stays the way it is so people will know what Old Florida really looks like. Minutes from I-95, but surrounded by the Allapattah Flats Wildlife Management Preserve. Located on Martin Hwy, which was recently designated as a Florida Scenic Hwy. Fifteen minutes to Stuart and thirty minutes to West Palm Beach, a world away from the hustle and bustle. We realize that people also love Florida for Disney and tropical paradises but if that is what you want then this may not be your kind of place. Depending on the season and availability we may have local honey and/or firewood available for purchase.

Our property boasts all amenities including waste disposal, water, electricity, and cable onsite (please note: there is no WiFi). Guests have access to a riverside boat ramp, 3 pools (one on the riverside, one on the beachside, and one in the middle with a spa), as well as 3 sets of tennis courts and a shuffleboard court. Additionally, there are restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities available on the resort. Perfect for RVs or fifth-wheel trailers, our concrete lot can accommodate up to a 40' Class A RV. Osceola National Forest is 200,000 acres of exploration with your name on it! In the northeastern Floridian forest, pine flatwoods and cypress-hardwood swamps surround, with diverse wildlife abound. In this leafy paradise lives gopher tortoises (they act like gophers, but are tortoises!), alligators, black bears, and the skunk ape, also known as the “stink ape,” which bears an uncanny resemblance to bigfoot. Areas of recreation include Ocean Pond--a fave place for boaters, skiiers, and campers, and Olustee Beach for swimming, fishing, and picnicking. The park is also open to hunters and fishermen with permits. With so much land to explore in this National Forest, we wouldn’t be surprised if bigfoot was hiding in there!

Ours is an urban spot based on ease, safety and location, not a wilderness "experience" We have a paved circular driveway overlooking our beehives, henhouse and seasonal garden where you’ll find a table with chairs and plenty of space to cookout and enjoy a quiet evening with a great sunset by the blowing bamboo. This is one of South St Pete’s oldest neighborhoods- it surrounds an active former PGA golf course and lively country club. It’s a great place for safely biking or walking with green spaces, tennis courts, playgrounds and dog parks nearby. There are many owls, raptors, green parrots, purple martins and osprey overhead as we’re just a few blocks from the beautiful Boyd Hill Nature Preserve. - not to be missed! The Pinellas Trail is just a short bike ride away too and can lead you to downtown. It is a cyclists favorite! We love our city - happy to give recommendations.

We have two primitive campsites These campsites are first come first serve, they are not assigned when booking. Our Glamper tent is a 10x12 canvas furnished full size bed with bedding, pillows and enough floor space for two sleeping bags. The tents are located off a short trial, but rugged 2-minute hike from the parking area. We provide the opportunity to go camping without having to pack the tent. Closed toed shoes are highly suggested as well as plenty of lighting with batteries or solar charging capability. This is a rugged, fun and serene camping experience. We are one mile south of the NE FL Regional Airport and it's not unusual to see a biplane practising barrel rolls for an air show. We are 30-45 minutes from Jacksonville, birthplace of the Blue Angels, and 15 minutes from downtown St. Augustine, the nation's oldest continuously occupied city. Message me for discounts on long-term stays. Learn more about this land: Bring your tent, van or small camper and share our slice of paradise! You'll have the camp site all to yourself--we sometimes need to water the garden, but otherwise avoid the camping area when it's occupied. Enjoy a variety of seating areas on our half acre lot full of fruit trees and flowers, or watch the sunset from the hot tub. Camping is easy with washer, dryer, fridge, stove, microwave, dishes, coffee pot, toaster and blender, all in an air-conditioned shed. Don't want to cook inside? Use the propane Jennair grill with gazebo and lights. Clean up is a breeze with our stainless steel triple sink and 4 gal hot water tank. We're one block off US1 and 10-15 minutes by car to beach and downtown. Hang out around our stone fire pit or sit at our 6 person table with solar powered lighted umbrella. Relax on our Broyhill couch and easy chairs under the awning, and enjoy our latest addition, a fire table. Hang out in the new gazebo with mosquito netting and fabric panels on a Trex deck with a polycarbonate roof. Keep an eye out for hawks, owls, osprey and ibis. If you are extra lucky, you might spot our resident gopher tortoise! (If you do, please enjoy from a distance, they are protected.)

This place is amazing. I went for the first time camping alone with my daughter and our two dogs. Doing it all by myself was a huge undertaking, but I’m so proud I did it. The camp grounds are very well maintained, our spot was completely shared which I loved. Later in the evening temperatures cooled and we were able to have such a fun time. The host is very aware of what is needed and making sure everyone is having a good time. There’s running water bathrooms and showers and that’s just so nice especially during warm weather. The river is so close, the water is so refreshing! Just amazing! We loved it and would do again!

This was a good little RV park to stay for a night. Some of the long term residents areas need some cleaning up around the park. The spots had a concrete pad and full hook ups. I arrived late, they had a packet with my spot location at the office, so I had no issues. The bathrooms are clean and air conditioned. Overall for a night was a good spot to stay.

Weekend Trip to The Wandering Path

This was an unexpected surprise to find this gem!!! My two boys and I wanted a little weekend get away and this little place was right on the creek!! Walking distance from the yet! Amanda popped in to check on us to make sure we had everything we needed and to offer any assistance that we might have needed I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good getaway

This was the cutest little campground with every convenience you can think of. The bathrooms are clean and well lit. Direct access to the river! It was the most fun with my dogs! They loved it. I loved it. 10/10 highly recommend!

Perfect location with lots of privacy in a crowded park. Beautiful walks and lots of amenities. We loved it! There is a dog park close by that is amazing!
