Bug Spray 🦩WE ONLY HOST VANS/CLASS B vehicles/very small travel trailers🦩 If you need to book for longer VanLife stays just message me 🌈 Everyone Welcome 🌈 As a family who has towed campers across the US a couple times utilizing Hip Camp we know others will appreciate the ease of pulling into our little 1 acre urban oasis just a couple miles off the interstate in Floridas Coolest City. It’s an ideal location to explore St Pete as we are right between the beaches and downtown (5 miles to St Pete beach, 4 miles to downtown -$10 Uber ride), Sarasota and/or Tampa. Ours is an urban spot based on ease, safety and location, not a wilderness "experience" We have a paved circular driveway overlooking our beehives, henhouse and seasonal garden where you’ll find a table with chairs and plenty of space to cookout and enjoy a quiet evening with a great sunset by the blowing bamboo. This is one of South St Pete’s oldest neighborhoods- it surrounds an active former PGA golf course and lively country club. It’s a great place for safely biking or walking with green spaces, tennis courts, playgrounds and dog parks nearby. There are many owls, raptors, green parrots, purple martins and osprey overhead as we’re just a few blocks from the beautiful Boyd Hill Nature Preserve. - not to be missed! The Pinellas Trail is just a short bike ride away too and can lead you to downtown. It is a cyclists favorite! We love our city - happy to give recommendations.

There is a large poinciana tree and dwarf citrus on either side. You could connect to electric (extra in ADD ONS) but will need at least a 25ft extension cord. Most guest use solar or enjoy our beautiful weather but if you need electric its best to rent the BEEHIVE spot or have a long cord

Peaceful Spot, Perfect for Vans

Great spot! Just 10 minutes from downtown and the pier. The location was super quiet, and we parked comfortably on their wide driveway—our van fit perfectly. No noise at all during the night, and hooking up to electricity was quick and easy. Highly recommend!

Everything is as described. It’s a good option to stay very central. It’s surprisingly quiet to stay for the night and even if the parking is directly accessible and visible from the street, we felt good and save.

Jennifer was sweet and greeted me upon arrival. Driveway is spacious and in a very quiet neighbourhood. Close to a main road so it was easy to get to shopping, beaches etc. Would definitely stay here again.

Spectacular little oasis in town. It was perfect for us to take refuge for a couple of very quiet nights. It’s amazing to wake up and sip coffee getting the sun surrounded by greenery! Super close to beautiful bike trails, Vinoy Park, and the Dali museum (we didn’t have time to venture further—I’m sure there’s more!

We had a nice, quiet night camping on Jennifer’s driveway in a cute neighborhood. Jennifer’s communication was excellent. I recommend this Hipcamp for those visiting Fort De Soto or the other St Pete beaches.

I requested to book same day and very late in the day too. I told them I woke up not feeling great and just needed a spot for the night to camp and they accepted my booking! super nice people, helped me charge up my portable power bank, and they were so kind to my dog which I always appreciate. I would definitely recommend staying here, super close to everything in town too. thank you again for taking my dog and I in last second, i’m super thankful!!!

As always, staying at the beehive spot as a safe and quiet sanctuary for my work trips in my camper van. A great neighborhood to walk the dog, early in the morning or late at night. Jennifer‘s beautiful little extras can enhance even a quick stay. Was very grateful for fresh eggs my last visit Location is also super close to the skyway bridge so after watching sunset it’s a quick and easy drive

Quiet, convenient to St Pete Beach as well as downtown St Pete. The hosts are very nice, and they are doing interesting things to make their property and their lives more sustainable. The level cement driveway had plenty of room for my Sprinter van. Recommended!

This was a great safe place to park for the night in Saint Petersburg. I enjoyed checking out the beaches and checking out Tampa. They have a nice little side garden next to the hen house. I would recommend staying here if you’re looking for a place in this area.

Jennifer is wonderful. Friendly and helpful. I bought a bottle of the homemade hot sauce and it was delivered by her charming son - also very friendly and kind. The premises are just perfect for what I needed -- a great jumping off point to Fort DeSoto, Anna Maria Island, St. Pete Beach, etc. The neighborhood is both centrally located and yet comfortable and safe. LOVED IT - highly recommend.

This was our first time using hip camp and the stay was great. Very straightforward and the host was kind & responsive! We stayed in our camper van at henhouse and it was nice opening our door to a small little garden/grass area with string lights & some cute chickens. It really was just a safe spot on their driveway to park for the night but the area was quiet and we felt very safe. Great stay!
