Osceola National Forest is 200,000 acres of exploration with your name on it! In the northeastern Floridian forest, pine flatwoods and cypress-hardwood swamps surround, with diverse wildlife abound. In this leafy paradise lives gopher tortoises (they act like gophers, but are tortoises!), alligators, black bears, and the skunk ape, also known as the “stink ape,” which bears an uncanny resemblance to bigfoot. Areas of recreation include Ocean Pond--a fave place for boaters, skiiers, and campers, and Olustee Beach for swimming, fishing, and picnicking. The park is also open to hunters and fishermen with permits. With so much land to explore in this National Forest, we wouldn’t be surprised if bigfoot was hiding in there!

We also have 3 units inside the lodge for the people who need just a step up from glamping, but not quite the whole hotel experience. These are beautiful comfortable rooms with half baths in the rooms. The showers are located in the lodge bathhouse. WE have the Jungle themed room, the Equestrian themed room and the Honeymoon Suite. Each unit comes equipped with its own hot tub. (To book any of these units, just send us a message and we will reserve it for you. The prices for these units are different than that campsite and glamping site prices.)
The Grist Mill is also available for rent too! This is a very romantic, yet rustic getaway equipped with a half bath as well. Very secluded and private overlooking the spring on one side and the water fall on the other. Sit outside on the deck and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and at night the sound of the waterfall will lull you to sleep. The shower is located in the Lodge bathhouse. (To book this unit you must send a message to us and we will reserve it for you. The price is different than the campsites but we will go over that with you)

Bring bug spray and sun screen. If you need something, don't worry! There is a Dollar General, a gas station and a small cafe within walking distance.
We have 38 acres of camping sites nature trails for hiking and mountain biking.
Guests can park right on their site, or they have the option of parking and hiking into the woods to set up their site a bit more remote and off the beaten path.
This is rustic camping. We have a bathhouse located at the campsites with showers. The bathhouse at the Great Lodge
hereas we do have garbage cans, we prefer that anything you bring into the property, you bring out with you.
We allow campfires.
The fishing is amazing in these parts, so if you are an angler, come and visit.
We have .75 miles of frontage on the Orange Creek. The creek flows into Lake Ocklawaha which just so happens to be one of the best bass fishing lakes in the USA. In fact, ten-pound bass are not uncommon from the Lake Ocklawaha River in the winter. Recently (2020), a 17.2-pound bass was caught there. The combined Ocklawaha and St. Johns drainage basin is possibly the most significant river-estuary waterway of Florida. This water system is of legendary reputation among anglers of largemouth bass who seek 10 pound plus trophy fish.
Conveniently located between Ocala and Gainesville in the heart of Orange Springs, Florida, Camp Seminole Spring is perfectly located for the traveler who wants to really connect with nature. It appears to be ‘off the beaten path’, yet it is close enough to civilization so that even the most seasoned camper can make a quick run to store should he or she need something not found in nature.
Camp Seminole Spring is mid-way (approx.. 22 miles) between Ocala and Gainesville, Florida, which are two thriving cities in this area of Florida. Ocala, the ‘horse capital of the world’ showcases a brand new multi-billion-dollar equestrian center which draws people from all over the world.
This scenic property has an artesian spring which pushes out 1.6 million gallons of water per day rated among the top three percent of water in the world with an 8.4 natural pH. This water fills the pond and then continues on to flow into Orange Creek.
Camp Seminole Springs was established in the 1940’s as a honeymoon resort and campground. The founders built a heart-shaped ‘pond-spring’ which is filled with the crystal-clear water pushed out from the spring where guests can lounge by the beach or gaze down into the bottom through the glass-like water or take a refreshing swim.
At the top of the hill overlooking the heart-shaped spring, one will find the rustic Great Lodge where guests can come and mingle with each other, enjoy a relaxing conversation and a drink on the veranda or just sit and watch the activity in and around the spring.

This location is close to the head springs and Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park where you can discover the wild side of Florida with endangered Florida panther, red wolf, manatee and whooping crane, plus black bear, bobcat and, of course, alligator.
The site is located 150 ft from the dock on our private residential property at the head of the springs, the dock is not visible from the site you do have to walk down to the dock area. This listing is for the SITE ONLY. Setup your own RV under the shade then enjoy our shared dock into the Homosassa springs for a refreshing dip or paddle. We provide full hookups (water, sewer, 50amp electric) for your RV as well as WIFI service and access to the docks for your boat or swimming. Primitive camping is permitted at designated wooded high grounds in the middle of the property. It is a 5 and 10-minute rugged hike in to the middle ground respectively. The trail remains under development, so please bring close-toed shoes or boots for hiking throughout the property (depending on rainfall, there may be mud and water).
We have two primitive campsites These campsites are first come first serve, they are not assigned when booking.
Our Glamper tent is a 10x12 canvas furnished full size bed with bedding, pillows and enough floor space for two sleeping bags.
The tents are located off a short trial, but rugged 2-minute hike from the parking area. We provide the opportunity to go camping without having to pack the tent.
Closed toed shoes are highly suggested as well as plenty of lighting with batteries or solar charging capability. This is a rugged, fun and serene camping experience.
Located less than 10 mins to Navarre Beach, - 30 mins to Pensacola Beach, - 15 mins to Naval Live Oaks, - 45 mins to Fort Pickens, - 50 mins to NAS Pensacola, - 45 mins to Santa Rosa Island, - 35 mins to Okaloosa Island, - 40 mins to Destin.

The hosts and co-hosts were kind folks. The property is right on the river and the river is beautiful there. There were nice trails in the woods to walk and saw some deer too. So pretty and peaceful. They have two docks far enough from each other that you can float on a tube for about 15 minutes and easy walking distance through their trails back. Super cute place! Thank you Bowman's!

5 stars — Suwannee River gem, worth the careful approach
This campsite is one of the best spots we’ve found. Gorgeous river views, peaceful, and clearly cared for by an owner who’s genuinely invested in the experience. Not to mention the campsite being fenced on 3 sides made it a joy to bring our 4 legged children.
One thing worth knowing if you’re in a larger rig: the driveway takes some maneuvering. The owner gave us a heads-up ahead of time, which we really appreciated, and with a little patience and humor we were able to back our rig in down the driveway from the street without much trouble. If you’re driving something sizable, just budget a few extra minutes and maybe walk the drive first. Don’t let it scare you off! It’s a fair trade for a site this nice with a full hook up. We used an extension for both the power cord and the septic. We parked in the driveway and not on the designated pad as per the owners helpful suggestion.
Highly recommend, and we’ll be back.

We loved that the camp is situated between the Santa Fe and Ichetucknee so close to where they converge, and how clear and beautiful were the waters of each (albeit the former was more tannic, with darker bottom sediment--still very clear though). Loved being kept company by groups of does and spotted fawns coming through, which didn't seem to mind our presence. Towering oaks above, and fish jumping constantly below. Yes there are fire ants, but it's Florida--we were able to deal with that minor annoyance given the general awesomeness of the place. Will return ASAP.

We absolutely loved our weekend in Cabin 2. The tiny cabin feel was perfect for our family. Our toddler truly enjoyed seeing deer on our morning walks and the river access gave our dog a safe place to cool off. The tree swing was also a big hit for us. Quick drive to Ichetucknee Springs which was beautiful. Thank you for a lovely stay!

I took my 4 yr old son to the glamper again, we had a blast! It's such a beautiful place that makes camping incredibly simple and easy when you have a child. Especially when you have water easily accessible on the camp grounds.

1 night at J and P Creekside Retreat
Beautiful spot if you want a to experience what is left of real Florida, the cabin was clean and had everything you would need for a glamping experience, our host was kind and responsive.

My first hipcamp and it was way beyond my expectations. This place was lovely. We had a quite spot in the back among the trees and animals. Plenty of green grass and no fresh air. The gentlemen hosting were so helpful and made great suggestions. Electric and water right at site. Since no sewer there is a clean private restroom with shower just a few feet away. Beach, restaurants and grocery within 10 min drive. Will definitely come again.

Es un sitio apartado del bullicio, las redes sociales, los teléfonos la Internet ahí te encontrarás con tu paz mental y la naturaleza nos quedamos en la cabaña ocho. Lo único que no me gustó que el baño lo teníamos un poco alejado y empezó a llover y no tocó comer comida frisada porque la parte de la leña y el carbón estaba afuera y no no tenía techo pero por todo lo demás un sitio súper mega tranquilo los dueños, increíblemente personas educadas y correctas. Si quieres desconectarte, te lo recomiendo al 100%

Beautiful quiet property in the woods, lovelier than many state parks I’ve been in (Get a space in the back). And yet a quick 10 min and you’re on a great swim beach with lots of shells. Jim and Mike, host, couldn’t be more accommodating and helpful. This was my first hip camp, and I couldn’t be more impressed.

This was truly the best place ever, I cannot believe there wasn't more people here. The spring was nice and cold for this time of the year it was perfect. We went this August and there were no campers there because of the heat. But it was perfect and so nice being there alone. The sand boil was also so unique. This camping was truly an experience, and we will be back 100%!! I miss it already!!!

We just got home after spending two incredible nights at Campsite #8, and we already can't wait to come back.
This was my husband’s and my very first camping trip, so we were a little nervous at first. But all of our worries disappeared as soon as we met Amanda. She has such a kind, welcoming soul and came by to say hello after we got settled in. She even gave us her phone number in case we needed anything during our stay, which made us feel so cared for.
We absolutely loved the river (it was so refreshing!!!) The gentle current felt like a natural jacuzzi, melting away all the tension in our muscles. One of our favorite memories was lying in the tent, listening to the rain and the passing thunderstorms. It was incredibly peaceful, and I slept better than I have in a long time.
We drove six hours to get here, and it was 100% worth every mile. If you're looking for a peaceful escape surrounded by beautiful nature and true solitude, don't hesitate, this is the perfect place.
I left feeling like my soul had been restored.
Thank you, Amanda, for sharing your little piece of heaven with us. It was an experience we'll never forget.

The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Linus, our fur baby, loved the space to run leash free. Our mini-vacation was planned around touring the Marjorie Rawlings homestead and the cottage was a lovely refuge from the thunderstorms to relax and re-read Cross Creek and The Yearling. We were shown around the 7+ acre property, exploring the out buildings, the retro campers, the blueberry patch. We even got 3 freshly laid eggs. The entire adventure was delightful. Jodi
