Located at the intersection of two quiet country roads near US-441, just outside of Gainesville, you’ll enjoy a secluded country feel with quick access to everything. Numerous camping options available. Welcome to our peaceful North Florida getaway in Alachua. This beautiful 40 acre partially wooded property offers room to relax, fish, and unwind — while staying close to Gainesville and the area’s top attractions. Close to UF, Gainesville racetrack, 3 beautiful springs and the towns of Alachua, High Springs and the city of Gainesville Florida. All an easy drive, less than 20-30 minutes away. We live on the property and the owner was born here so he knows the area like the back of his hand. We have 40 acres we would love to share with visitors to the area. If you’re visiting Gainesville, attending the Gator Nationals, visiting the University of Florida or enjoying the nearby springs this is the perfect location ,we are less than 30 minutes from it all. We have a beautiful and large well maintained pond. You can fish or just relax under the old oak tree on its edge. The barn has a shared fully equipped kitchen , bathroom and a large patio to sit and enjoy the view of the pond and the old oak tree. Park your RV or pitch a tent and enjoy all the amenities we have to offer.

Great spot. Lovely people. Easy to hook up, outdoor shower and plenty of room for the dogs to walk. Very hard ground and easy maneuvering with our 31ft RV. They were kind enough to greet us and help us get settled at 11pm which was above and beyond. Def would stay again.

Pond View Sites With Hook Ups

Pretty Oak Tree & pond, with a convenient shop building that has a bathroom with a toilet & sink, & a kitchen area with sink & microwave, & a charcoal grill out under the tree. Tables & chairs are provided under the covered area of the metal shop. There is an outdoor shower, so if you are shy, bring a bathing suit. Mr. Floyd will greet you, & he loves to sit & chat with you. He's got a little chihuahua dog. A really sweet lady lives in her camper behind the shop near the outdoor shower, & the hosts are working on a cabin that will be available right by her camper to rent. You can pull your camper up in a big sunny field & plug it into the wall of the shop...which is nearby the tree & pond, but not under. Lots of wildlife to spot including 2 gators in the pond. We slept well there under the stars. Mr. Floyd gave suggestions for us to visit, which were so much fun. The Alachua County Farmer's Market is wonderful with great food trucks! We went to the Devil's Millhopper, an old sinkhole tourist attraction with beautiful natural springs. Our band duo The Hoochie Digs played at a cool spot nearby, The Limelight, in Gainesville, if you like original music.

Nice place. Welcoming owners.. Good place for travelers to spend time in a safe place near beautiful pond . Bathroom, electricity and outdoor shower fully met my expectations . Looking forward to camp again. Thank you Floyd and Donna for your hospitality.

Camping Spots, With No Hook Ups

Floyd and Donna were wonderful hosts and very quick to respond with my questions! The coordinates will take you to the right location and it’s a beautiful area with a small pond and no neighbors nearby. They have an ice maker, a bathroom, and an outdoor shower (ground temperature water). Would definitely stay here again!

Donna and Floyd were lovely and so hospitable! Great spot if you need to get away to some quiet, or if you want to chat with new faces around a fire. The pond was a nice view, and their facilities are well-maintained.

Donna and her family were so hospitable and communicative. They have a beautiful property with plenty of great spaces to tent camp! Tons of bird species and other critters too. If you like relaxing in nature with easy access to town amenities i highly recommend this spot!!

I had the best time at this location. It has to be one of my favorite places. A beautiful pond with a gorgeous oak tree was the perfect setting. The host family was extremely friendly and welcoming. The barn was set up with all the comforts of a kitchen. The porch was cozy to sit and enjoy the scenery. I loved the bathroom feel of an outhouse. The outside shower was perfect. I look forward to going back real soon.
