This property is home to a farm/nursery operation and has a large pond on the west side. The pond is Spring-fed at the headwaters of Marsh Branch Creek which begins at our property and flows West about five miles in to Tampa Bay. Approximately 33 private acres allows for plenty of space between our campsites. Property is home to a farm with hundreds of fruit trees- Lychee, Mango, Starfruit, Papaya, Guava). Red Mombin, and thousands of banana plants. Fishing can be great, wildlife and bird watching too. Fenced and gated for safety, this old historic nursery property has good vibes and plenty to offer. Until you see it - you really may not understand. Parts of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas. The nursery has plenty of trees, and some fields -the large pond is surrounded by cattails and marsh/wetlands and has fish (Bass, Tilapia, Sunfish, Catfish). Several species of wildlife have been seen on the property. We think the property is lovely, and definitely want you to enjoy your camping experience!

Approximately 33 private acres allows for plenty of space between our campsites. Property is home to a farm with hundreds of fruit trees- Lychee, Mango, Starfruit, Papaya, Guava). Red Mombin, and thousands of banana plants. Fishing can be great, wildlife and bird watching too. Fenced and gated for safety, this old historic nursery property has good vibes and plenty to offer. Until you see it - you really may not understand. Parts of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas. Very peaceful at night after the activity calms Awesome view of the stars. Fire pit and charcoal grill. Firewood available for a small fee. Chairs for sitting and talking or quietly relaxing. During the day you can relax and read or interact with the goats, the donkey, the chickens and best of all the little pig. Eggs and Goat milk soap of all different scents to choose from. Eggs also for a small fee for cooking. Best of all my little dog was free off leash. You must keep them under control though. No chasing the other animals. Their dog and mine got along pretty good after they got to know each other. It was like camping out on a little farm. Canopys of Old Oak trees, large enough to go off to the less active areas or closer to the animals and friendly environment. The hosts are so wonderful. One of the best HipCamp's I've stayed at. We loved it!!!

I planned a last minute camping trip for the weekend with my family. Our host was very polite and a fast communicator. My kids favorite part was petting the animals and enjoying the campfire. The camper was warm and cozy. Everything was as stated on the pages description. No scary surprises, although I would recommend bringing your own Bluetooth speaker if you plan to watch a movie on the projector or check with your host on quality of his speaker before purchasing. We could barely hear anything on the little speaker he brought out to us. I was last minute though , so I probably got the last minute campers speaker. I’m just glad the host was generous enough to get us in on a short notice because we got to make memories that will last a lifetime 🫶

You will be able to tour a growing permaculture food forest. JAI Jungle is named after the 5 year old who lives here and loves guests to play on the trampoline or swim in our tiny pool with him. We have trails to explore and you can see the stars and hear old almost every night. We have over 10 swimming holes within the hour including 6 springs: Salt, Juniper, Alexander, Silver Glen, Rainbow, Kelly Rock, and 4 lake fed beaches: Carney Island, Hampton Beach, Mill Dam, Gator Joes (with food and sometimes music). You can also take an OGFit class while you are here: 10 minutes of world class Calisthenics. Breathe control and guided meditations also available. We have water available and an outdoor shower. We have plenty of room yet no electrical hookups and usually do not have very large rvs. Campfires (burn wood only- no plastic) and music with respect to being a bit more quiet when its dark. Please keep dogs on a lease and clean up after them. Please remove all garbage. Thank you. We also have a 16’ Canvas Tent available for an extra fee (77 total) or a 3 person 2 door tent for 40$ total, or a small pop up tent for 35$ total.

I'm always happy to show folks around and share the story. Please note: During the rainy season the grass may get a bit long at times. You can also expect to experience a wide variety of agricultural activities, outside of quiet hours of course. Born out of a dream that started 10 years ago when I acquired 40 acres of forgotten and unmanaged rural woods. Having dug right in with the help of the Florida Forestry Service, FWC, IFAS, NRCS and a very knowledgeable private forester; we developed a conservation management plan to restore it to its native state. The neighboring land became available and happily added another 40, I've learned so much on this amazing journey. 25K pines and a great deal of sweat equity later, it is time to share and encourage others to join in on the conservation efforts and make sure it's around for future generations.

She took part of the money given to her by the government and bought the initial tract. The host's father increased the size of the Property tremendously in the 90s and early-2000s, and today it encompasses 1, 337 acres. The Property is an old Spanish land grant, originally owned by the Sanchez Family, which used to be a large cattle family in the State of Florida. Today, under our ownership since the late 40s, the Ranch has never been developed or timbered in any large measure. Original heart pine forests, oak groves, and wetlands pepper the entire tract. The land has remained largely untouched and natural, which is rare, in a state that is rapidly loosing its natural land to development. Our Ranch is more of a natural preserve than a farm, and it is our aim to share it in limited measure with the public.
