Approximately 33 private acres allows for plenty of space between our campsites. Property is home to a farm with hundreds of fruit trees- Lychee, Mango, Starfruit, Papaya, Guava). Red Mombin, and thousands of banana plants. Fishing can be great, wildlife and bird watching too. Fenced and gated for safety, this old historic nursery property has good vibes and plenty to offer. Until you see it - you really may not understand. Parts of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas. The nursery has plenty of trees, and some fields -the large pond is surrounded by cattails and marsh/wetlands and has fish (Bass, Tilapia, Sunfish, Catfish). Frank Page purchased the Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground in 2008 which included the original seven acres of the lower portion of the Rendezvous. At that time there were only a few buildings and the primitive campground area. Frank started cleaning the area and stabilizing all the buildings. In 2009 another 20 acres was purchased, which is now considered the upper area of the Rendezvous. In 2010, another seven acres were added to the property. Frank planned and constructed the Upper Rendezvous area which was completed in 2012 and added 136 RV sites as well as the dog park, barn and pigeon coop. The dog park has five sections, for both small and large dogs, with ample room to run. Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground Pool Frank began raising pigeons in 2012. The first pigeons purchased were homing pigeons, which started the Pigeon Races that are still a fun, family favorite event on Saturday afternoons. Frank also bought and started raising other pigeons, the Birmingham Roller. Birmingham Rollers are a very popular breed of domesticated pigeons that originated in Birmingham, England, where they were developed via selective breeding for their ability to do rapid backward somersaults while flying. You can often see them flying around the Upper Rendezvous in the mornings and afternoons. These pigeons are used for our weekly Pigeon Races.

The place was very nice and rustic. Simple for what is needed. There are some lodges and a few areas for RVs or tents. For those who aren't used to being without the amenities, it was perfect. Unfortunately, it rained a lot before we were there, so it felt very muggy, no bugs during nighttime. He even has a charging area for any Teslas if needed. Thanks, Mr Joseph.

I was driving back and forth each day without knowing in advance when I would get back for the night. I kept "T" informed the best I could. I love her and I love this place.

The site is private and secure. There are only a few sites on the property so it ended up just being us and our friends camping. We never saw Sandra or Joe but didn’t need to either as I’ve stayed here before and everything is pretty straightforward. The mosquitos were bad but nothing compared to how they were in the Everglades. I guess that’s just part of visiting that area at the end of June.

Weekend Trip to Glamping In Paradise

This spot was beautiful, quiet, and a centralized location for trips to multiple springs. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The outdoor kitchen was fantastic and the fire pit was perfect for hanging out at the end of the day. The outdoor shower was amazing! It was easy to find with the directions provided, and Ron was very responsive and quick to reply. Thank you for sharing this wonderful spot 🙂

We stayed in the Gypsy and loved it. Very comfortable and equipped well. Views from the windows of the Gypsy are like looking at a painting. The hosts, Kathy and her husband, are wonderful. She introduced us to all the very friendly animals. The property is very relaxing and beautiful. Love the hanging trees and all the shade. We sat outside in the evening and watched the animals. In the morning it was fun to watch the baby goats run around and they came up to say hello. Chickens are free roaming and so wonderful. If you love animals you have to stay here. The location had been on our list to try and so glad we did.

We had a wonderful stay at Teresa's property while camping with both our camper and a tent. The site was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, giving us plenty of room to relax and enjoy our time outdoors. We especially appreciated all of the amenities, which made our stay comfortable and convenient. Teresa and her sister were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. Their hospitality truly made us feel at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a peaceful, clean, and enjoyable camping experience. We would definitely stay again!

Nice property. Joseph is a great host. He is kind and caring, and respects the privacy of his visitors. Plenty of potable water, and plenty of hot water in the bath house. Trails into the woods and out to a wetland where beautiful pitcher plants dot the terrain. High-bush blueberry bushes out there will please both bear and people alike. I had a very comfortable stay at Joseph’s land. - Glen R
